Can we take a moment to appreciate how kino this video is. The steel on steel hits from the m242, the mine taking out the Bradley’s tracks. They way the gunner picks up his rate of fire to cover the downed vehicle. The vehicle commander throwing smoke grenades from his hatch to cover his dismounts. Vehicle fanboy/seethe aside, it’s a sweet video of how to react to an ambush from an armored vehicle
https://rumble.com/v2taia4-bradley-attack.html
it's not an ambush, they knew there's enemy, they just lost cohesion
It’s still an ambush. Enemy waits for you to drive in a minefield and then try and get you with infantry/ artillery
Good training
Love those steel on steel 25mm hits
What's happening here? That blasting into the cloud of black smoke. Was that friendly fire or what?
>What are thermals
The black smoke is from the Bradley that just hit an AT mine. The firing Bradley picked up his ROF to cover the vehicle until smoke was popped.
Ah, alrighty then
>steel on steel
I think those are just HE shells.
No because you can’t see the misses. The Bradley can’t switch ammo types midburst
The shells were exploding on the treeline. It was on HE the whole time. Why would they load AP when they got TOW?
Because it’s quicker to deal with non MBTs with. Did you not know that most IFVs carry sabots and HE
Yes, I'm aware, but why are you adament it's AP on metal, when the most plausible explanation is obviously HE. You can see some shells landing short and exploding. Are you implying that there's metal in the ground there and in random trees?
That's the thing, he dumps multiple rounds into the treeline without producing that flash. Granted, flashes are a shit to try and judge things by, but it sure as frick looks like a different kind of impact.
?t=17
It's possible the rounds went deep into the woods and didn't explode within line of sight. I HIGHLY doubt those are AP since it doesn't make any sense for the situation.
What makes you think that? The explosions look to big to be 25 HE looks a lot more like the flash from a kinetic hit
Because they are suppressing the treeline. Why would they use AP to suppress a treeline, where possible infantry AT teams are in the trenches? If it's an armored target, you don't spray like that.
The only impression i am getting from the gran ukr offensive is that the Ukranians fight offensively exactly the same way the moronic Russians do Their successes early on were due to sheer incompetence in the AFRF that has been cleaned up since then. This is WWI now, no easy victories, nothing goes according to plan.
if any NATO army tried to mount an offensive with the same constraints (basically no air force) I'm sure it would not look that much better
this is what a war looks like when you don't have air superiority and SEAD capability
Have to partially differ in that the lack of air doesnt result on armored units bunching up im kill zones.
they didn't bunch up in a kill zone because they aren't as smart as some dumbass on /k/ - shit happened. it's a war.
It's a tactical victory for the Russians and they deserve respect for it, but it also shows what good equipment and good training can do for you when you're caught on the losing side.
No to talk shut since it was extremely hairy situation, but didn’t that Bradley gunner barely avoid causing TWO friendly fires? I either he or the other drivers might have panicked for a moment and they got lucky. Other parts of the withdrawal look organized and well managed, but I think they about lost it there momentarily. I got a sort of tunnel vision once in a life or death situation so I see how it could happen.
*talk shit*
There’s lots of metal things and defending force might have. Looks like they were concerned with enemy in that direction because they popped smoke to mask from that direction
Him not stop shooting after the other Bradley hit the mine makes sense when you realize he has thermals so the can see the Bradley had stopped and was disabled.
>Western vehicle gets hit
>crew runs away in good order
>Russian vehicle gets hit
>crew runs out as a fine slurry
>russian crew become cosmonauts
See? 47th gang was right. Shit goes hard, even during the bad times.
Everyone knew 47th would be one of the pushing units. Bradley fricks
This illustrates perfectly why 25mm is such a good IFV round. The sheer amount of fire and area that can be covered by the main gun is great. Larger caliber IFVs just can’t put as much fire down range. Can’t wait for mixed units of Bradleys and larger caliber OMFVs that can take out small drones with airbursting munitions
>"stop trying to use tanks to attack the enemy, we heard you lost some"
>"no"
>"alright makes sense"
It was great. I haven't seen enough smoke in Ukraine. Also great to see them all get out. I'm so used to seeing BMPs evaporate everyone inside.
One things for sure, after vivid and Ukraine, global war with nation wrecking conscription is definitely coming. I don't care anymore because society has become a disease. I only empathize to people who live privately and want to be left alone. Everyone else can get wiped out.
Libertarians were a mistake. Your Roman ancestors look down on you.
NTA. Libertarianism doesn’t mean “leave me alone” who the frick convinced you dipshits that it does?
why do ukraintrannies and vatBlack folk always put the most shitty music over their gay vids
