Can someone who understands mechanical advantage give me some advice on lifting a 1.5m x 2.5m metal panel which weights 40kg. Is it better to lift it while holding from the 1.5m width side, or while holding the 2.5m length side? I need to lift it up enough to pivot on a ledge which 2m high from the ground
Why are you using a woman's silhouette? Are you a woman? Maybe you should ask your husband instead of us. Do you want me to give you directions to the nearest kitchen?
Same reason I play as a female in video games
Troons gonna troon
Like this
Ideally neither, hold it at a 45 degree angle with one hand further up the long side so you have the most control over it.
lift with the knees
put the more weight below the line of support, lower the center of gravity.
remember the hip thrust
I hope its ironic... horizontal if your arm is long enough, vertical if you want To fricking die... or you know ask a friend for an hand? This is a 2man job
>1.5m x 2.5m metal panel which weights 40kg
lmao you're gonna fricking die if you try this alone
>inb4 durr 40kg not that much
yeah but with a piece that big it's going to be impossible to control
You're the kinda guy that makes a 2hr job take 5. I bet you even get butthurt when people call you out on it. homosexual
yeah and you're the kind of c**t that takes 6 months off on compo when you slip a disk doing shit like this
I've supervised dickheads like you, note the past tense there cause they all get sacked when they take out 10 grand worth of finished product when they fall over doing this sort of cowboy shit
>40kg over your head
>awkward shape
If you don't spend at least 3 hours a week in the gym for 2 years doing military presses then good fricking luck dude. Lifting stuff above your head is the hardest thing.
Use ratchet straps to pull it up to the ledge or get a friend to help
If you need to lift it onto a 2m high ledge and the dimensions are 2.5m on one end you can just stand it so it’s vertical height is the the 2.5m. Then you can pivot it over so it touches the edge of the ledge. Then you lift up the bottom then slide it onto the edge. Effectively you’re making a lever. 88lbs isn’t that heavy, you should be able to do it.
Im going to kill myself from all of these troll posts. OP is clearly posting bait and everyone just keeps replying.
you will have to lift it higher if its length is horizontal however vertically the sheet will take a greater force to control as it pivots around the lip.
t. lifted 5m metal sheets onto a 3m high roof from a step ladder.
I used to work in drywall and if that silhouette is anything like you it doesn't matter which option you choose because you're going to rocket to the top and be CEO of drywall Inc in no time. Girl boss.
Right arm hanging at your side, palm facing out.
Awkward piece of material held by that right hand.
Left arm reaching back and holding the material from falling.
It would be much easier to show you, but hopefully it makes sense
Just read the OP again and realized this is a gay troll post. Regardless my technique would work to carry something like that, assuming you're a big dick alpha such as myself.
Lift it from the 1.5 side as you won't have to lift it as high to reach the ledge.
Buy a dolly and get a few union boys to help you out, you will need at least 4 of em.
I work alone so I use friction lock tiedown straps at each end anchored suitably then lift each corner a bit at a time and take up the slack. Easy, safe done right and quite efficient.
The europoor tries to sheet a house once.
Bro you are clearly moronic.
Where is the mass center and what is a lever?
i will carry that weight for sex mlady
just lean it up on the ledge vertically and lift it by grabbing the sides
prop it up on your knee/hip once its high enough, grab the bottom and push it up the rest of the way
Why are (You) not holding the sides at all? Is this a jaw muscle exercise?
