Not him but I have four pistols I've changed the rear sight on. Put tritium night sights on an old snig p229 because we used to think night sights were cool ten years ago. Had to get new sights for a glock because lol factory glock sights. Put suppressor height sights on another glock back when the pistol optic meme was new and we thought a BUIS was cool. Removed the rear sight completely on a shadow 2 because it's unnecessary when you have an optic. OP is a moron though because all new berettas have removable sights, they just keep producing the old models for people who want them because they're a cool company.

you cant change the rear on this new 380. its made into the optics plate.
Oh I see, yeah they should have dovetailed the cover plate instead of making it integrated for people who want to stick with irons. 3 dot sucks. Probably will eventually be solved with aftermarket at least, it's not like the old beretta slides where the front sight is one piece with it.
They expect people to buy red dots with notches in the rear like sig does or mount it using a rear sight plate. It probably cuts down on the cost of cutting both the optics mount and a dovetail but also saves room due to it not being larger.
While we're talking about rear sights, what the frick is the point of changing windage? Why would you ever want anything other than dead center with the weapon? I can understand elevation, you might be shooting closer or further, but why the frick am I trying to shoot to the right or left off target?
Because the barrel might not be perfectly aligned with the sights. You could do like sig and have a fixed rear plate cover but with a dovetailed front.
That doesn't sound like a gun that would be worth carrying or one you need to get fixed. I've never seen adjustable sights on anything but mid and higher end pistols, so I don't think barrel alignment would be a problem to begin with.

POI varies between your ammo choice. A gun zeroed to American Eagle FMJ may group 10 MOA to the left with Sig V-Crown. It gets even wider with bullet weight variations.
I prefer iron sights, but I'm not anti-red dot. I'm going to get pretty fricking anti-red dot though if manufacturers are going to start moving backwards in iron sight customization just for optics readiness.
Honestly I wouldn't be upset if the optics plate also had optics height sights built into it. But as soon as I see that shit I realize it is more of a toy than an actual tool. Only reason I didn't buy their APX1 carry. I didn't buy the P322 either because of that, but honestly, at least as a .22 you can make the argument that it genuinely is a toy.
Skill issue
Post your pistol that you changed the rear sight on

So get a different or modified optics plate moron, not that hard.
>80 or less replacement rear because 100 or more replacement plate.

>us army pistol

>what the frick is the point of changing windage
its for when your fixed front sight if fricked and off center.

it was more important when most guns had fixed front sights.
Makes sense.
Because the barrel might not be perfectly aligned with the sights. You could do like sig and have a fixed rear plate cover but with a dovetailed front.
>Why would you ever want anything other than dead center with the weapon?
Because sometimes dead center on the sights isn't actually dead center for you
Don't get it. Top is aligned, front post is centered, grip is proper, trigger pull is clean, how do you frick this up?
some people hold their pistols differently. it might technically be incorrect but if it works for them it works for them.
Ah. So they're just moronic. Makes sense. Hold your gun properly? Nah, get some new sights that allow you to keep fricking up.
If it works it works Black person
So then drift the front sight? this is a non issue.
Front sight doesn't move on every gun
The only guns I know of that have rear sights on optic plates (P365, LTT beretta, 80x, and P320) all have adjustable front sights
the gun we're talking about does.
POI varies between your ammo choice. A gun zeroed to American Eagle FMJ may group 10 MOA to the left with Sig V-Crown. It gets even wider with bullet weight variations.
OP is a moron
y?
You can change the rear sight.
how is that? its milled into the optics plate. you'd have to change the entire plate, if such a option even exists.
You can replace the optics plate dumbass.
You really think that extra piece of steel with 2 holes in it will prevent the aftermarket from making a rear sight?
>pay 120 dollars for night sights
or
>pay 150 dollars for a fricking red dot
Some people are just anti-red dot. This is the same thing as the 1990's when people were against putting red dots on rifles.
I prefer iron sights, but I'm not anti-red dot. I'm going to get pretty fricking anti-red dot though if manufacturers are going to start moving backwards in iron sight customization just for optics readiness.

>Pay $140 for high quality Trijicon HDs
or
>Pay $150 for a Crimson Trace that's going to break in a few months
