>Hey alexa, what is the gdp of america vs the gdp of the UK? >Hey siri, what is the logistical capability of america vs the UK? >Hey google, what is the maximum capability of the arms industry of america vs the maximum capability of the arms industry of the UK?
America doesn't need better soldiers to win a battle where it'll just bury you underneath it's perverse military industrial complex. Russia would lose though.
The UK is so scared of knives it's utterly comical. This is the country that arguably ruled the planet? Reduced to a crying mess in the face of a butter knife.
>Ruled the planet
No. They make this claim more plausible with bullshit maps that show "parts of the British Empire," that didn't even exist at the same time or parts of the USA that the US only took after independence, areas of Canada that are large but which they hadn't even explored much less "ruled" over, until the empire was dying, etc.
>1000-1100s: French invade England once, their language and the genetics of their ruling class change forever. >1200-1400s: England ruins itself with a millions wars against France, actually winning at times. Henry V gets Henry VI crowned king of France and England but he can't actually maintain it at all. France writes that French knight cuckolds King Arthur and this becomes canon. France wins wars in the end. >1500s to 1700: England inferior to Spain/Hapstards, has to join big alliance of all of Europe and the Turk to balance them, just one of many. >1700s to 1800s: England inferior to France, has to join alliance of all of Europe, including the Turk, to balance them just to get by. After France defeated primarily by Russia, Russia is most powerful. >1880s - Empire passed forever by former colony USA as highest GDP and largest power potential. Germany and France both way stronger land powers, even Russia and Austria are too. >1900s - UK must join big alliance with former colony to stay relevant and defeat Germans. Relies on France to do heavy lifting the first time and US and Soviets the second time. >UK not even empire any more, destroys own future and relevancy by leaving EU >UK colonized by other former colony, Pakistan. >UK conveniently forgets doing Russia tier genocidal activities to Ireland and India, pretends it was both #1 and a good guy, both are ridiculous.
The UK never ruled the world. UK wasn't super relevant in either World War (even I it was less relevant than Russia or France by a longshot, more on par with Italy given it tried to fight the Turks and got a draw there too)
>UK wasn't super relevant in either World War
France wouldn't have held alone in WW1
USSR wouldn't have held in WW2 without Germany blockaded and unable to import oil+rubber, also no UK = no D-Day, no Africa campaign, no Italian campaign, basically USA has absolutely no means to fight Germany even if they wanted to
Spain-Austria - 1500-1600s
France - 1800s (also add in North Africa for total conquests under Nappy)
Germany - 1900s (ephemeral in comparison to others but at least happened)
England - all time, shade in Ireland for maximal extent.
>frogs vs bongs for centuries
And then, we are all being conquered by poojets and nafri muslims, they rape, kill and replace us all, and we don't pick a single fight.

The park directly In front of the Whitehouse is Lafayette square.
There are Lafayette squares all of the country. To say Americans don't know the French roll in our revolution is comical. Hell ben franklin got his reputation as a manprostitute from his time in France lobbying for more support.
We do a good job remembering the French for being bros, but I feel like we don't give the Netherlands credit for bankrolling the country. Here's to you, dutchbros.
Lafayette was based and is still remembered fondly in the US to this day.

The ironic thing is that /k/ has ended up one of the best boards at btfoing misinformation because of the vatnik spamming of the last year+. Bait and false flagging doesn't work in your favor if your target audience fully well knows what you're doing and shits all over you.
It helps that the average poster here at least has the bare minimum of historical and engineering knowledge to know that slavshit is shit, while other boards are so high on their own contrarian farts that they will happily swallow that the T72 and mig 31 are fully the equal of latest model Abrams and F-15 variants.
The point of most training exercise is for the OPFOR to overwhelm the commanders and force them into stressful and difficult decision making. If you've ever been to a CTC you'll know what I'm talking about.
>OPFOR wins
Woah I am so surprised, this totally isn't exactly what happens every single time on purpose because the exercise is made to be nearly impossible
For anyone who's not here to just shitpost, OPFOR in the United States works in this way:
OPFOR light infantry coat their MILES gear sensors with clear nail polish so they do not recognize BLUFOR lasers 90~% of the time (Ask me how I know)
OPFOR armor is given the coordinates of BLUFOR units by the OCs in charge of the exercise, despite the fact that there is no way they would know this 24/7 right down to a 10 digit grid (Ask me how I know)
OPFOR get to respawn. Ergo, if you, OPFOR Private Joseph Snuffy "die", you will walk 20 feet into the woodline, an OC will reset your MILES gear, and you will just be sent to fight the same guys again during the same firefight, but now you have magic knowledge of everything they've done to this point, up to and including gun positions, leadership, etc.
OPFOR resets and refits outside of "the box" at least once during every 2 weeks in a training rotation, which means they're freshly showered, fed, they've slept well, they aren't carrying as much gear (because they know they don't need sustainment exceeding a week)
OPFOR commanders are fed 24/7 information on BLUFOR to intentionally make BLUFOR suffer. The point isn't to create an equal fight, the point is to create a ridiculous fight in a measured way and strain BLUFOR from all possible angles to see how they react given limited forces and resupply.
I played OPFOR against a joint Finnish-American-Norwegian BLUFOR element, as an American, and we absolutely shit on them for the above mentioned reasons.
TL;DR all of these headlines are fricking gay and the average human is an npc that comments on things they are as removed from as an ant to the lunar landers.
To add to this, if you've ever been to NTC/JRTC and you wonder why we make you carry those frick huge GPS boxes like in Ranger school? It's because I'm fricking telling some dirtbag specialists in a Tacoma with a crate of RPGs and unlimited munitions exactly where you are. It isn't your fault, it's because I felt like your Commander needed the gut check.

They've been told this every time. DOn't worry they'll never learn. Hope life is treating you well vetbro.
Somewhat. There is something to learn from equal, peer on peer fights. There is much, much more to learn from asymmetric warfare where you are the small side.
Don't get me wrong, the Royal Marines are excellent and I absolutely loved working with them. But in my experience, all Anglosphere units are generally the same in capability at the end of the day. Nobody likes this answer though, because the idea that platoons that are almost identical in training structure and equipment perform similarly hurts people's pride.
>actually thinks war games is anything but a method the DoD does to secure more funds to create more LGBTQ smart munitions that would make V2 bombings of London by Germany looking like firecrackers
This is a warriortard divide and conquer thread. He's been getting a lot of shit recently so he's false flagging as a stereotypical "arrogant brit" to try and drum up dislike of brits here. You can tell because the format of the thread and the ridiculous nature of the post make it obvious. Don't be fooled.
The USMC and Royal Marines aren't comparable forces. There are around 7,000 Royal Marines and their doctrine was highly trained light infantry with an emphasis on mountain and arctic warfare for the entirety of the cold war, only recently pivoting to quasi-SOF status. There are close to 200,000 US Marines with a doctrine of combined arms, amphibious warfare, and integrated naval and air support. In a 1:1 infantry focused wargame of course the highly trained light infantry are going to outclass the slightly less highly trained amphibious infantry.
I remember this exercise and how it showed how strong squad level drones could be but everyone was too busy going DURRRRRR MUTTS BAD HAHA MUTTS BAD BONG BONG BONG BONG to notice and then the Ukraine war started and all those morons were suddenly flabbergasted by drones being used in combat.
My recollection of this exercise was that the Royal Marines just ran around calling in fires on the USMC, then fricked off before the USMC survivors could find and overwhelm them. Most of the exercise wasn't really direct fire engagements between the Royal Marines and USMC; it was attrition by fires called in by a significantly more mobile force.
Of course Britbong tabloids lapped that shit up and portrayed it like the Royal Marines had gone Rambo on the USMC.
these sort of exercises are always basically "ten klingon warbirds vs kobayahi maru" and exist only to build wallets at the expense of espirit de corps
Any war trial comparison is always flawed because war trials are always skewed in some way to trial something, usually in huge favour of OPFOR so a lesson is learned about the dangers
Then on the ground everyone starts fricking around or getting butthurt and warping the constrains of reality massively
does anyone else ever notice how often we hear these stories about foreign militaries beating the US in training exercises

No we don't. But please don't give our "leaders" ideas.

Less than a few percentage of the population in the revolution fought against the crown. Internal threats are different from external.

There are cities and towns, too.
Ya bro warfare in 1700’s backwater colonial America was the same as today.
Internal threats are much harder to defeat than external
How many people is 3% of America?
How many people are in the US military?

Royals are just guys who didn't think they could make it through P Company.
True. Had a rotation with Geronimo. It was fun as frick. Also, you can get the god gun to turn your M4 into a MK19. It's pretty cool.
America has more than 80,000 soldiers.
The Royal Marines are some tough frickers, it's true. Good thing we're on the same side!
Why would we need to fight the US, are they throwing the tea in the sea again??
They are devaluing our good boy points
Biden keeps smack-talking because he's 1/427th Irish
They did WHAT ?!
Im a 30 year old Canadian and I want to join the royal marines
