I lived on the gulf coast before, but around the Tampa area. 90 there sucked wiener, but not as bad as south Florida. You just can't breathe down there.
Same buddy, Texas. Fricking sucks and makes me derpressed. Highly considering moving to northwest Arkansas. I don’t think I can continue to take the gulf coast heat.
NWA is pretty nice. There are a ton of cute girls, housing is pretty cheap, people are cool. Walmart is on everyone's mind tho, it's a little weird. There's just a heavy presence of Walmart everywhere. Walmart gyms, Walmart office supply stores, Walmart neighborhood groceries. I went in the winter and it was very dreary, but I imagine Texas winters would be similar.
Texas winters I highly enjoy, as it’s not bitter cold, and you can enjoy it. This heat though is getting to be unbearable for me.
Been looking for affordable places that have somewhat decent weather, and good out opportunities. Texas sucks balls for out unless you own your own land.
/831/ SCM represent! Back home for a little while. I've really learned to appreciate the Santa Cruz area while I was away. One of the best parts of California. Other honorable mentions: San Diego/La Jolla, NorCal, Placerville/Sierra mountains.
This is good right now. Last year it was 107 here on the peninsula. And we've had daily reason or some kind of water falling from the sky since last fall. I'm out here washing the bikes and trucks right now.
Yeah that’s pretty much a daily occurrence in my truck (New Orleans) if it’s parked in direct sunlight. We’ve had temps over 80 since April this year, just like a lot of the South and Midwest. It’s been hovering around 100 this week. Most of the eastern half of the country was screwed out of a nice spring with a very early and brutally hot summer.
The heat is relentless, and combined with the, uh, “urban” crime and threat of hurricanes my wife and I have decided to relocate (to Oregon). It’s just relentless, especially this time of year. It was 90° when I got to work at 7:45, so the heat index was probably pushing 100° before 8am. It doesn’t really cool off until September, maybe. Just crazy heat for months on end.
Oh that wasn't because i was parked, the air temp was literally 115; it was a massive flukey heat wave last summer. That said, our spring this year was kind of shit. most of my warm weather plants started to die off from the lack of sun and all the rain; it's somewhat stabilized though at least.
where abouts in oregon are you moving to? You're from new orleans, not CA -- right? (otherwise the tone of this post would be very different.)
It's nearing that golden time when stripers, salmon, and halibut are hitting at the same time cause of them chovie balls moving up the coast >.t north of punta arenas gay
I’ve since moved, but god I miss JT and Anza-Borrego.
>Mt. Shasta
I never did make it up Shasta, unfortunately.
90 in California isn't shit. Go try 90 in south Florida.

I used to live in central AR. Don’t go there to avoid heat or humidity. I think NW AR is a bit better thoigh.
