    a cv90 clone?

      Anonymous

      Does the CV-90 have a BMP-3 turret (100mm + 30mm gun)?

        Anonymous

The new CV90 actually could field a 100mm gun and a 30mm coaxial if someone optioned it. The new turret on the MK4 version is very modular.

CV-90 has no 30mm coaxial option

The coaxial pod can fit the compact 30mm M230 autocannon that's been fielded on the Apache. Additionally, the XM914, a miniaturized variant of this has been developed explicitly as a compact armor mounted tri purpose, anti-armor, anti-personnel, and anti-air secondary armament for armored vehicles like IFVs or MBTs like the Abrams X. The miniaturization of autocannons is pretty cool. The Koreans and French are working on CTA 40mm guns that have a smaller footprint than last gen 25mm guns.

That’s not the same as a full powered 30mm autocannon. The m320 can be fitted to most any vehicle

The M230 can put out more power than the 30mm in the BMP3.

No, it can't. What the frick is with straight up lies being posted all over the board tonight? The BMP's 30mm has about 20% more muzzle velocity, a higher rate of fire, is dual feed, has approx 50% longer shells and has AP-I shells available.

Saying a 30x113mm with 800m/s muzzle velocity is "more powerful" than dual feed 30x165mm at 960m/s is just homosexualry. KYS.

Not him but isn't the BMPs ammo loadout fricking ww2 tier, aka no apfsds. HE doesn't really care about muzzle velocity so it's only for kinetic penetrators that it actually matters.
Im pretty sure that the BMPs 30mm AP rounds had somewhere around a third less armor penetration than comparable western 30mm sabot AP rounds.

The 2A42 has only been proven at 70mm RHA

The M789 HEDP fired from M230 onky penetrates 25mm RHA and no AP ammo exists. The anon who claimed that M230 was a real big boy 30mm autocanon was wrong and dumb. If you compare it to real Western 30mm autocannons like the 30x173mm on the Stryker Dragoon it does even worse (that will do >100mm at >1km). Again, that anon is a titanic homosexual.

whats the point of using 100mm gun-launcher if you add separate atgm launcher anyway? just to sling HE?

For lobbing 100mm HE in indirect fire mode to support tanks and infantry from 5-7km away. It's like having an organic self propelled mortar that can carry troops, and can also be used like an assault gun in direct fire mode against bunkers/pillboxes and buildings in urban warfare

All vehicles will get vaporised by a 152/155mm shell guided by a Chinese quadcopter drone anyways...

Wait wait wait. So. What we have here is...
              >a troop transport that can't carry troops,
              >a reconnaissance vehicle that's too conspicuous to do reconnaissance,
              >and a quasi-tank that has less armor than a snow-blower, but carries enough ammo to take out half of D.C.
              >*This* is what they're building?

Russia has a smaller military budget than UK while maintaining the largest nuclear stockpile in the world, they have an oversized military which largely functions on the back of cheap junk from the 80s they would never be able to afford large scale modernization.

    >believing a country would have a standing army without corruption and competence in the first place.

It’s a sign of low IQ to think that a country needs something but only has an inferior model of something because of reasons.

The entire concept of standing armies is beyond idiotic, every tank built, no matter the quality just makes it worse.

If you would wake up as the leader of a new country that just spawned into existence and want to create a military from scratch with tanks and airplanes and current wunderwaffen whatever they might be, you are either bleque or sub 90 IQ.

In a competent, non corrupt society IFVs, tanks, Aircraft carriers and all the other outdated obsolete trash would not exist.

Piggybacking off Soviet designs for 50 years, then marketing wonky tanks to thirdies isn't much to boast about. Looks pretty cool though.

what would be the smallest (light yet armored and small in dimensions) effective armored vehicle, with human crew, that has a long operational range? So no robots or one man tankettes which look strangely cool sometimes but exclude them?

What's the hull from? The ZTQ-15?

Does it also use the bustle autoloader or they retained the carrousell autoloader from the BMP-3?

Although we haven't seen BMP-3 throwing turrets... yet...
