Is it imperialism when the countries hosting US bases ask them to be there? US politics and global hegemony suck, sure. But when your alternative is being dominated by China or Russia, guess what? People quickly realize the big bad USA is the best alternative they have.

I think most of the world lacks the industry to keep a sustained war going and the parts that do can only support shithole trench warfare. World Wars are either over or will be solved quickly.
