What is the proper way to sort of brave cold weather(negative degree weather etc) if you had to? I live in the north east USA and it gets cold up here but mostly not so cold that it fricks with you. Recently though its been pretty cold. Lets say you are outside with no gloves for your hands. How do you prevent your hands from going numb while walking around? I experience pretty crazy hand numbness the other day. So numb that I could barely turn my car key to open the door once I got back from my walk. I have gloves obviously but lets say you didn't have gloves. What would you do?
piss yourself for warmth
That sounds like bear grylls shit.
You go to a store that sells gloves and buy the gloves.
Put on gloves? Two if need be. Also avoid getting sweaty.
Put 2 or 3 pairs of socks on your hands (NOT FEET they will sweat and you will be EXTRA cold)
Put your hands in your pockets, moron.
Clothing:
in terms of clothing it's all about layering, wear long johns under your pants, snow pants over them. Shirt under sweater under coat. Toque, scarf, balaclava if it's face freezing weather. Layer your socks too, big wool ones on the outside, and pick up some good snow boots. For your hands you should obviously be wearing gloves as everyone has said.
Techniques:
Staying active keeps you warm, for your hands you can
it's easier to stay warm than get warm, so wearing the proper clothing is ideal

Put your hands inside your pants, near your balls. There they will warm up.
Don't lose your gloves. Dumbass.
Buy wool clothing. Used to be a cotton or plasticgay and I was freezing indoors.
Wool keeps heat better, though it is often bad at stopping wind, so you just need to windproof yourself. Heats if moist too.
For feet I use two wool socks, one thin and one phat.
Hands, I have a glove with two inner layer- whatever it's called in English. Removable lining? For work gloves it's wool+leather finger glove
This. Learn how to layer effectively and wear wool. Wool baselayer, wool mid layers, and wool jackets. I went for a walk last night in -30C and the only part of my body that got cold was my hands, which was coincidentally the only part of my body not covered in wool.
clothes don't create heat, moron
You're getting stuck on wording.. Plastic and cotton will conduct heat faster if wet whilst wool will not, or at least not to that extent.
Stick your hands in your pockets. Alternatively keep them under your armpits, or worst case scenario in your groin area. These places generate a lot of warmth.
Bring gloves, dumbass. You can just put them in the stow pocket of your jacket when you're not wearing them.
I grab my balls

Swing your arms around like a propeller when your fingers start going numb, the centrifugal forcer will push blood into your finger tips and keep them from freezing. You have to do it quite often if it killer cold but better than frozen fingers. Or you could keep your hands down in your genital area, maybe have a final wank before succumbing to hyperthermia.
>found dead due to hypothermia, hand on wiener and fully bricked
chad death
Gripping really hard also gets blood flowing to the hands, as a bonus the muscle exertion makes more heat.
this homie doesn't know how to put his hands in his pockets!
Withdraw your arms inside your jacket
Drink brandy
If you wear a hat and you should, be sure that it's not tight to the top of your head...you need atleast a inch of loose material to trap the escaping heat from the top of your head. A tight to the skull hat does nothing. Protect your ears, cover them...too easy to get frostbite there.
