Huh?
Knuckle dragger hour on /k/
i fricking giggled irl
You can buy cheaper ARs because ARs are a meme in the sense of being a common cultural icon.
You can buy more expensive ARs because ARs are a meme in the sense of being overhyped for most applications.
You can buy this for cheap because it's a meme in the sense of mostly being used for fun instead of being taken seriously, keeping demand relatively low.
Don't complain OP, this is a good thing.
anyone else notice that lever and revolver morons have been getting really uppity lately?
It's the new generation swing of kids who grew up with two moms who don't like assault weapons.
If you want to find an 1895SBL for cheap just search “Jurassic Park” on GB. I still want one but satisfied my big bore itch with a 50 Beowulf upper and a spare lower.
>search jurassic park
>one result
>it's a buy now of $3500 for a gun that retails for $1000
wow thank you tard-kun
Have you been huffing paint again? That’s the point, those are the sellers who are trying to sell it for 3x the real value. Like when a listing has all kinds of gay shit and buzzwords, don’t click.
Glad to see more big bore ar’s.
You go tromix or other?
you forgot
>doesn't exist and can't be found anywhere to buy
lever guns are cool, but not suitable for every situation
>$1/round unless you reload
>no spitzer boolets for long range shooting
>not suitable for high round count events like 3 gun
45-70 kind of sucks. The case is only a little over half full when you reach max pressure in lever guns.
You need to go to .458WM to do the kind of stuff that people think 45-70 can do.
What the frick kinds of powders are you using dipshit? 43,000psi is the actual pressure limit for Marlin 1895's.
458 WM is also shit at straightline penetration by comparisons from people who know.
>straightline penetration by comparisons from people who know
Completely projectile choice dependant. Fricking fuddrag take.
>458 WM is also shit at straightline penetration by comparisons from people who know.
Holy noguns Batman, they use the same projectiles.
1)Lyman 51 lists max pressure for RUGER NO.1s as 40,000CUP (which is ~psi for 45-70 due to a fluke of physics), so Holy shit, shut up noguns.
2)max powder charge for 1895s and a 350 grain bullet (only with direct relation) compared to max charge for .458WM:
4198: 41.5 vs 66.3 (+50%)
3130: 52.5 vs 74 (+45%)
H322: 51 vs. 80 (+60%)
.45-70 is a black powder cartridge shoehorned into modernity against any performance metric.
So please, shut the frick up, noguns.
.458 winmag was my granddad's favorite rifle cartridge. he used to cook up his own crazy loads and test shoot them through a chronograph into phonebooks in the hallway of his house. he always planned to go on an african safari and take some big game with his custom loads when he retired but sadly he died very quickly to pancreatic cancer. if that story wasn't sad enough, my grandma promptly sold all his guns and gun stuff right afterward. nothing for me to inherit
In what world does a lever-gun cost less than an AR?
>costs less than AK and AR meme rifles
Bullshit. I wish it were true, but it's bullshit.
I'll keep my 458 socom. It can take any game in the lower 48 at 200ish yards. Although I wouldn't one of the new marlins in 45-70 with a threaded barrel if someone were to buy me one.
I started off hunting on open range with a .308 but lately I've been exploring more mountain woodlands where shots would be a lot shorter. I want to upgrade my .38 sidearm to a .357 and pair it with a modern .357 levergun.
big-game rifles that can punch through anything
ENTER: .308
>>can be fitted with nice glass
So can just about anything alse?
less than AK and AR meme rifles
A Sig AR-10 is like $1500 which is less than the rifle you posted
