Holy shit how humuliating. If they bring the Leopard and Abrahms on truck beds for the parade, there will be more NATO tanks during the parade than Russian ones lmao.
The T-34-85 is widely regarded as the best tank of WW2. In one incident, an entire company of Tiger 2's attempted to destroy a lone advancing T-34-85 only to have all their rounds bounced by the T-34's superior angled armor. Said T-34 dispatched all the Tiger 2's with a single shot to their frontal armor that was constructed of pig iron. Wartime records indicate that the T-34-85 had a K/D ratio of 50,000,000:1. The single lost vehicle due to the crew drinking too much in celebrating their 1000th Tiger kill, and then driving their tank into a 20-feet deep river of Aryan blood. Fear of the T-34 was so great, that Germans would immediately surrender upon sight of them. The prisoners were then forced to lie down, and promptly run over by T-34's to avenge the 6 million israelites. Many historians contend that the Allies only won WW2 because of the T-34-85, and by extension, the T-34 series as a whole.
tbh not sending some of their hardest fighting units with actual battle wear and tear shows how superficial Russia is and that it doesn't appreciate the hard work, dedication and patriotism that actually goes into holding that shit-hole together.
Disneyland of force for the delusional, spoiled oligarchs, while true hard working patriots must be hidden from public sight.
at the rate Boris Johnson are used in this conflict, I must voice my suspicion of the effectiveness of BoJo weaponry. There is no way the UK can produce that many BoJo at their current state.
Idk why people are asking where the Armata is when the MoD said outright that the T-90M is their tank of the future and Armata won’t ever be put into production
So they are doing a three-pronged parade symbolism:
1.) A single T-34 as synonym of their victory back then. A single tank not as a practical force, but to put an emphasis of it being a symbol of that time they defeated the Nazis and that they are doing it again today. Also "ein vatnik, ein mir, ein putin" etc.
2.) Likely to include captured HATO equipment, to humiliate their adversary and show they are big and bad and stronk.
3.) NOOOOOKS! Don't dare provoke the bear to lift its eyebrows.
I thought it was common knowledge that the removal of tanks from the parade was due to b***hing over "why are tanks in a parade when they’re needed at the front"? Why are you people pretending that they literally can’t run their usual T-14 parade vehicles nor any of their many thousands of remaining vehicles which are being refurbed from stockpiles full-time? They literally can’t pull a few of the nicer ones for the sake of a parade they do once a year? WTF is wrong with you guys’ heads?
They don’t because boomer optics "why are tanks being wasted in a parade while our guys are dying". That’s literally the reason why they stopped after the 2022 parade. It’s simpleton’s logic but it’s pretty obvious that’s what a Russian boomer mindset would be like.
That's not why. The 1st Guards unit that typically did the parade was sent into Ukraine at the start of the war and got so badly mauled it needed to be reconstituted
>They literally can’t pull a few of the nicer ones for the sake of a parade they do once a year?
They had parade vehicles pulled into active duty with their silly stickers still on them in 2022.
Cope Ivanovich... question to you - why even bother with parade at that point? May 9 is all about the cope victory in Otechestvenaya war and they doing it while there is active war lol lmao
Anon, the Armata is still in testing.Sending it on parade makes sense, everybody already knows it exists and it helps prepare logistics for when(if) it is deployed.
The only reasons to not do that are it being so unreliable it can't be expected to work even in the best conditions,or being so far ahead of everything they can send it demoralizes the troops.
Bitching doesn't fricking matter in Russia because its a fricking consolidated, mafia-state dictatorship you stupid frick. The RU federal government doesn't have to do nothing for nobody inside Russia. If they want to have a donkey show in as their parade, they can. So if they're not putting tanks and having these pathetic showings with T-34s and National Guard vehicles, its not because of someone complaining.
This fricking website. Since 2013 you have to explain, make a drawing and then explain the fricking drawing multiple times.
It’s the IMAGE they’re worried about you moron. The Armata showed up every year until 2023 and we KNOW they weren’t used in combat, just reportedly some testing. They literally can’t put one in a parade since last year?
The worst case is that as others have mentioned the regiment which has traditionally did these parades has been rebuilt from combat losses and aren’t ready to do parades so that part got cut.
They really ought to. /k/ will be really disappointed if they don’t. Also they should have some guy whipping them with chains or something that would be hot.
Yes it is. Soviets never used the same tactical numbers for new vehicles, only added more.

Also, you know, there's this radical thing that can happen. That being that vehicles get transferred between units and get their numbers changed in the process. It is in fact extremely unlikely that this is the same tank, and it is extremely unlikely that that old 320 from Budapest (if it is still around) still bears that number at all.
Basically meaning it could easily be the very same tank. Your points doesn't discard that completely, only point to the idea that it may be another one

That said, that T-55 on the top is probably produced just a year or two after the bottom tank was.

It would be funny, but the USSR tended to not upgrade T-54s to T-55 standard. While it was possible, it was rare, and they usually just pushed T-54s to WARPACT nations or third worlders (or sent them to storage) when they had newer tanks.
>What's older than the BTR-50 that they could send in next
PT-76 and T-10M come to mind.

IIRC they bought a few dozen in working condition from Laos, where are the others?
Don't tell me we might actually see a T-34 obr 2024 repurposed into a turtle tank at the front some time
Good question since I remember they used to have multiple T-34 and Su-100 taking part in parades previously. Maybe the other T-34s are sent to smaller parades across the country?

BTR-152, BTR-40, BRDM-2, BRDM-1 and T-44 where the hell is it?
No Abrams? I was convinced they would show off the wrecks of any Western armor they got their hands on while Monke gives a grand speech about how the decadent Anglo-Saxon culture is declining and Nazi tanks are burning on the Ukrainian steppe once again
So why exactly is the T 34 dead russians per second the only tonk they have at these parades?
Why not show the Armata? It's not like they get used on the front.
Don't really see the Logik

I've seen some screenshots on twitter from the parade last year - there were apparently two extra t34 parked nearby. probably in case the main one breaks down.
PLEASE let them put the NATO stuff on flatbeds, drive them down the parade ground and let the crowd boo & hiss and throw trash. Dirtying their own streets to stick it to the West.
I've heard from a few people that that Soviets used to loop tanks back around during large parades and quickly renumber them for another pass. Seems like BS though. The Soviet Army had thousands of tanks it could show off if it wished.
Modern Russia can't even try this type of farce because they can't spare anything to display.
>I've heard from a few people that that Soviets used to loop tanks back around during large parades and quickly renumber them for another pass. Seems like BS though. The Soviet Army had thousands of tanks it could show off if it wished.
Its a case of chinese whispers, with the story being garbled by each reteling.
It was not tanks, it was bombers, and it happened in the 50s.
Russians faked parade flybys of their newest Myasishchev M4 heavy bombers during the 1955 .
Due to delays and problems with production they had just 10 of them avaiable . During parade flyby they circled around moscow and then flew over red square again. Needless to say there was no repainting of numbers involved
Western observers duly counted each of them , and from the cooked numbers displayed on parade they extrapolated that in next years russians will have a about 800 of them in operational service . And as americans like to do, they massively overreacted, building the gorillions of B-52s, many of them still flying, armada of air tankers to keep them in the air, and massive infrastructure boost to ward off the imaginary soviet menace.
An a way its kind of similar to MiG-25 and F-15 story.
The intel thing was one of the bigger issues of the cold war until the end and something I think normies just really don't appreciate. The iron curtain really was pretty impenetrable for a long time, obviously never completely but stuff was real garbled and this was long before the kind of spy sats available now. U-2 and SR-71 programs were a big fricking deal, far more then I can remember ever reported outside of specific military histories and retrospectives.
>An a way its kind of similar to MiG-25 and F-15 story.
and that thing about soviet tanks having nightvision equipment which had everyone in the west pooping their pants
>T-34, BTR 82 (only kino thing on this list), some MRAPs and a NOOOOOK
This parade is getting more and more pathetic every year, this is really sad. I loved watching these shows.
They should, I've never seen them in footage from Ukraine, that being said I don't pour over all of the footage so it may have slipped. AFAIK they're slated to be (? or are? Not sure of their adoption status) VDV vehicles.
Will they ever realize that holding yearly Russia stronk parades for an event that happened 80 years ago is kinda cringy? Modern Russia is the equivalent of that annoying boomer that keeps telling you stories about his glory days in high school.
>Will they ever realize that holding yearly Russia stronk parades for an event that happened 80 years ago is kinda cringy?
like celebrating the independence day, right?
You Poles love to pretend like this is a big deal but it really isn't. Most people have no idea the date even coincides with Polish defeat, it's only really there beacuse they needed a replacement for November 7th.
>it's only really there beacuse they needed a replacement for November 7th
And they actually managed to pick a day on which nothing happened lmao. That entire holiday is such a rushed hack job.
Almost installed a puppet tsar around that time. Sure not a big deal, and while ruskies boast about stopping Hitler and Napoleon, they were nearly taken over by fricking poland. Fricking comedy.
Funnily enough this was also the only October Revolution parade held until the end of the war.
Because Stalin at least understood optics and knew that no parade was better than a strong parade (why aren't those tanks at the front, what about muh Great Patriotic War?) or a weak parade (jajajajaja die schweinen are out of panzers t. goebbels).

Idk why people are asking where the Armata is when the MoD said outright that the T-90M is their tank of the future and Armata won’t ever be put into production
Remember when ziggers proudly posted that by 2024 Russia would have thousands of T-14s that all would be immune against the western anti-tank systems?
Of course.
I'm not sure you can be immune against the western anti-tank systems when your systems were engineered by the same people.
> Why do you care about the t90, t55 is tank of the future.
T90 is a literal Honda body kit for t72
Why would Russia continue building a tank that has proven itself incapable of surviving on a modern battlefield?
No tank can.

That was my take as well
funny but all t-34-85s at latest parades are post-war czechoslovakian variants they bought from laos in like 2019

They won't parade the "captured" NATO stuff? Don't they have at least one AMX-10?
They probably ran out of parts needed to keep Armatas running
>that single t-34 again
IIRC they bought a few dozen in working condition from Laos, where are the others?
Don't tell me we might actually see a T-34 obr 2024 repurposed into a turtle tank at the front some time
I've seen some screenshots on twitter from the parade last year - there were apparently two extra t34 parked nearby. probably in case the main one breaks down.
>Don't tell me we might actually see a T-34 obr 2024 repurposed into a turtle tank at the front some time
Oh, we will
Sure, we will
Where are they Putin?
Getting upgraded with ERA, and cope barn, to Obr. 2024
Kind of amazed how good the condition of these things are given they've been across different wartorn shitholes. Czechnology I guess
Wait, no actual service tanks in general? Only soft-skin vehicles and prototypes?
This is not pathetic, but in fact stronk and impressive
PLEASE let them put the NATO stuff on flatbeds, drive them down the parade ground and let the crowd boo & hiss and throw trash. Dirtying their own streets to stick it to the West.
what the frick is this? more Western tank than russian ones? how the frick is vatniks going to cope with this?
Creep looking mf
>An a way its kind of similar to MiG-25 and F-15 story.
and that thing about soviet tanks having nightvision equipment which had everyone in the west pooping their pants
>no Nork T-34s on the parade
lame
tfw North Korea sells tanks to Rossiya
>supposedly the Iglas on top can be remote controlled from the inside on the later variants
Bets on the parade next year?
A guy with a rifle, some bread, a Ukranian soldier (occupying Russia)
two dudes moving Lenin out of his fricking ziggurat
will they puppeteer him like kermit?
they should!
Shoigu going down Red Square on a rickshaw pulled by a mobik
Golf carts, and a lot of them
So what's the difference between the tigr, ural, and tajfun?
Who offered most bribes during the contract phase.
Looks like the army of some small despotic oil nation with no border enemies.
Th-this was s-supposed to be a joke picture.
100% unironic question: Would old ass ladas be better or worse at delivering troops to the front than the golf carts?
It's probably easier to find parts for the golf carts than the ladas.
>Only take is T-34 again
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>T-34, BTR 82 (only kino thing on this list), some MRAPs and a NOOOOOK
This parade is getting more and more pathetic every year, this is really sad. I loved watching these shows.
does russia still have these things?
honestly this is the only vehicle im looking forward.
They should, I've never seen them in footage from Ukraine, that being said I don't pour over all of the footage so it may have slipped. AFAIK they're slated to be (? or are? Not sure of their adoption status) VDV vehicles.
these things are only good for killing civilians so perfect for russia
Money laundry/embezzlement project so obviously they still have it in that perpetual stasis of vague "developtment" that's perfect for corruption.
>can't scrounge up a few tanks for zigger christmas but can't forget le nook truck because remember WE GOT NOOKS XAXAXAXA *~~*~~*~~
>tfw when u need to brake stabilizers on all wectern machines, coz yours hanging sooo low that even NORKS have a better parade than u
Ziggers never stop taking Ls do they?
well they took Luhansk and Lysychansk so yeah
moron
Image stolen for prodigious use on May 9th.
No golf karts?
>noooooks, T-I-G-R and t-34
Why are they like this? Is it on purpose?
>XAXAXAXA mighty PUCCIA has Su-57, and APMATA, and T-I-G-E-R-ACK
always has been
Will they ever realize that holding yearly Russia stronk parades for an event that happened 80 years ago is kinda cringy? Modern Russia is the equivalent of that annoying boomer that keeps telling you stories about his glory days in high school.
>Will they ever realize that holding yearly Russia stronk parades for an event that happened 80 years ago is kinda cringy?
like celebrating the independence day, right?
They do that too, and it's entirely separate
Would be behind based if someone put an RPG round or whatever into the ICBM. Even better if it has warheads installed and irritated red square.
>There are more Western tanks in Moscow right now than Russian
"Is there something else you'd like to discuss?"
вce кoнчeнo
Just for comparison
Funnily enough this was also the only October Revolution parade held until the end of the war.
Because Stalin at least understood optics and knew that no parade was better than a strong parade (why aren't those tanks at the front, what about muh Great Patriotic War?) or a weak parade (jajajajaja die schweinen are out of panzers t. goebbels).
>T-14?
>That was of course the predecessor of T-18.
>110 years and westoids still so mad when Russia took FT-17 and improved it*~~*~~
