In reality this was ironically a good demonstration of how poor the AR's ergonomics are for standing shots. Despite the buttstock being almost perfectly centered in his shoulder pocket he is incapable of anything resembling proper cheek weld or neck position
>nobody teaches him how to hold gun >So he makes a fool of himself >this means the AR is designed badly
???
You shouldn't have to "blade" your body any way. The rifle should just fit you.
Do you know anyone whose shoulder pocket is the same height as their cheek? Why does almost every other rifle butt on the planet have a drop of 4 inches or more?
Pic related. Proper ergonomics.
How is she shouldering it? 1/8th of the stock? is making contact with her shoulder.

Aren't those things all either air rifles or 22lr level? It's sub-handgun level recoil so you barely need anything, shoulder use is probably more about balance and stability countering the cheek pressure.
I have nothing at all against sport doing extreme sports stuff, and it still takes tons and tons of practice and skill of a specific kind. Shooters shitting on it is gay and pathetic. But by the same token noguns taking that as an example for actual weapons is even more moronic.

My issue with the sport is that it’s become absolutely disconnected from shooting anything that isn’t those exceptionally min-maxed “rifles”.
Stuff like this is why in sport regulation for equipment is important, because if you don’t it turns into this.
A lot of people dislike the UCI in cycling, but it keeps the bikes sane.

Seriously, so? Most big time normie commercialized sports are pretty disconnected from their origins and mix/maxed at this point. We've got zero shortage of pro-comp actual guns shooting of all kinds from fun 3gun anyone can do to more serious short/med range stuff all the way up to king of 2 miles. Also for the Olympics in particular, don't forget the whole theoretical point (actual point these days being to make shitloads of money) is to bring together the nations of the whole planet. Many of which heavily restrict or ban civilian real gun ownership/usage. Honestly zero surprise to me it's evolved in a weird made-for-TV way.
In some sorts of sports I might care but for guns I just don't because there's so so so much quality real guns comp options available for everyone, or just going and doing your own thing with buddies on BLM land or at the range. Honestly I'm always kinda surprised at the responses it gets, like do Americans even pay much attention to that one? I've never seen it particularly highlighted vs other sports, kind of assumed that it was one of the ones that got more attention in noguns parts of the world. I think I watched it just once and I don't know any buddies who have even done that.

300m rifles look the same, they're just mostly chambered in 6.5 something
yeah

because his body is bladed to his strong side, any normies shooting an AR does the same shit

>proper ergonomics is having a stand for your rifle so you don't have to shoulder it
What did he mean by this?
The stand is only to rest the rifle between shots. The shots are all taken unsupported.

OK anon, now do that same stance with something shooting 308 and tell us how the ergonomics are alright?
>Pic related. Proper ergonomics.
At least make it less blatant anon
>That cheek bulge
I'm gonna nut
>Pic related. Proper ergonomics.
imagine smushing her hamster cheeks while she's giving you propa ergonomics haha
git gud

iirc he was a retired general or something which is just egregious
You're thinking of the guy who recently made a fool of himself. This one is just a CNN reporter if I recall.
ar-15 stock works just fine you giraffe-necked autist
It could be better. That's the point being made here moron.
>media literacy
Do some pull ups. Incline bench maybe. Maybe once you grow something resembling a shoulder you'll fix your shooting problems.
Wristlets and weaklings eternally btfo
This is why fixed stocks are better
I doubt giving a different tool to this moron will help him.
Is that what the average 21 year old looks like these days? I always suspected the vapes weren't good for you but I didn't know they were that bad.
