>At the end of the video, the ship appears to have sunk, with just its bow above water. CNN could not independently verify Ukraine’s claims and it is unclear from the footage which vessel was struck and when.
At this point, was it even real footage?

> Could have been a arma 3 footage for all we know
ships can sink pretty fast if they get hit hard enough
clearly Arma 3 footage

> CNN could not independently verify Ukraine’s claims
i.e. they can’t see under the fricking ocean. Thanks CNN. But to be completely serious when Ukraine has claimed to have damaged ships in the past with USVs Russia has released photos of the ship in question sailing into the Sevastopol port with the appearance of being unharmed just by visual inspection pretty soon after the initial claim was made, and usually these photos can be dated by internet detectives and are backed up by western satellite photos that show the ships back in port. The fact that this hasn’t happened yet means there’s more likely than not 50 ziggers at the bottom of the sea being picked apart by some crabs that have recently moved into their new home that’s vaguely reminiscent of a Soviet missile corvette.
This.
Also, literally the next sentence in the article:
>Russia’s Defense Ministry, the Kremlin and other Russian officials have not yet commented on the incident.
Because the infamously timid and shy Russian government would naturally clam up when presented with such evidence rather than, I dunno, opening comms and asking the captain “hey, everything okay?”
It’s sunk.
You goofs, it's just CNN Newswire doing it's due dilligance that they are just reporting what Ukraine says, not that they personally know if this is true or not. Otherwise, the difference between CNN Newsire and Ukraine spokespersons becomes nothing.
The only problem with that is that the same outlets then breathlessly repeat Russian claims with absolutely no evidence presented like the POW filled plane and give them the same kind of credence because they can't independently verify those either, but one is a well documented event with an obviously real video and the other is most likely a complete fabrication to save face for letting a valuable asset get shot down.
Or how cnn reported the one gorrillian babies that died in that "JDAM " strike in a hospital parking lot.
As other anons already mentioned, it sure is diligent of CNN to remind us that they can't see under the fricking ocean and that it could be Arma 3 footage for all we know. Because Ukrainian and Russian sources are, of course, equally trustworthy
Is there any evidence it was the Ivanovets? It could have been any Tarantul class corvette.
Why are CNN shilling for Russia all the time? I thought they were one of the Democrat wiener-sucking channels.
Gomunism
Dems don't care about this war so they need to get reps clicks.
>only footage is from the Ukie military
>can't be independently verified
Yeah, that's how reality works, unless Russia releases the video calls from Russian sailors saying goodbye to their loved ones it can't be verified until James Cameron takes his sub there.
We have to rely on indirect evidence like "where is the Ivanovets?" "has anyone seen it?" and "why are bodies washing up on the beach?".
Here's footage for you morons
Also
We already know which ship was sunk, it was a Tarantul-II Class Corvette, Ivanovets. Why is your dumb ass still fixated on this?
He's literally ESL and doesn't understand
>At this point, was it even real footage?
Probably, but we'll know for sure in a few months if it never shows up again, much like several high ranking Russian commanders who made singular appearances in video calls and then never turned up again.
there are satellite images
Trying to be objective it's almost astonishing how much more honest Ukraine is than Russia
Ukraine's reporting occasionally is a little too credulous, a little too optimistic, but if their track record is anywhere between 50% and 80% then they're way fricking ahead of Russia who's dad works at Nintendo
I really can't think of any equivalent where the Ukes came out and went "Hey we just retook Mariupol, no you can't see it" or "the Sahaydachniy has sailed home safely" or "We just blew up the entire Su-57 fleet" or whatever even though you'd think as fellow corrupt slavs they'd be inclined to do shit like that
>appears to have been sunk, with just its bow above the water
So did the Titanic.
it sunk the way things sink in fiction which means its fake
>Titanic is fiction
You're not supposed to fall for it if it's this obvious dude.
Silly Black person, "it's Arma footage" is the first step in the cope chain, not the 47th long after "it was actually a civilian ship".
CIA run news agency:

>claims
>appears
>The GUR claim could not be independently verified.
It's over.
>russia claims something
>western media: THIS THING TOTALLY HAPPEND
>ukraine claims something with video evidence and other proofs
>western media: hmm this might have happend we don't know
I understand that there should be caution bit this is ridiculous. Reuters was still taking reports from TASS long after the war in ukraine started instead of cutting ties with them
Journalists are scum, the only way to get them to do their fricking jobs is throwing rocks at them.
>ALL DRONES WERE DESTROYED THE SHIP IF FINE
>SHIP TOOK LIGHT DAMAGE AND WOULD BE REPAIRED IN COUPLE OF DAYS
>THERE WERE NO ATACK, ITS ALL A DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGHN FROM UKRAINE
You are here
>FLEET? RUSSIA NEVER HAD A FLEET IN ITS WHOLE HISTORY! WHAT ARE YOU FRICKING moronic?
I wipe my ass with CNN.
Didn't CNN get bought out by Murdoch or something
