Russia can't into strategic airlifting so it relies on trains to move anything larger than a battalion
Sure, but wouldn't it be better if these guys were reformed to be some sort of law enforcement group? Unless it has more to do with whatever archaic reasoning has that "Military trains need to be guarded by the military and nothing else"
Few questions:
1: Why did they use that frickugly and ineffective camo?
And 2: WHY DID THEY EVEN BOTHER PUTTING CAMO ON A TRAIN? It's a goddamn armored train in the year of our lord 2022. Stealth and concealment aren't even on the table. Do they expect everyone to go "Huh, that's a strange metal bush chugging across those railways. Maybe a migrating type of giant fern?" It does nothing, and looks worse than just painting it a drab green.
I don’t care if this is retrograde technology, it’s fricking cool.
armored trains were already used by russia, and have been used in wars up to the 1990s
that camo reminds me of paintball field cover
Whats the point of the BMP?
Also the ramp on the back of that flatcar the BMP on has blocked some of the ZU-23 firing arc.
So I guess the putting the BMP on there has diminished the combat effectiveness of the ZU-23
No you se comrade, ramp is there to stop you shootings the BMP by accidents!
I was very sad that the owl wasn't a decal spraypainted on the train.
Does anyone have that video of the Railway "Spetznaz" doing training and looking like absolute idiots?
nevermind, I found it. I really hope they've improved since then...
Man if you got rid of the Russkie tricolor flags and taped this on a banged up VHS you could convince me this was shot in the 80's
I understand how extremely vital railways are for Russia, but why are they part of the military instead of a more specialized law enforcement agency?
They were founded in 1851.

You do realize that outside stealth and concealment, the other function of camouflage is to make it hard to distinguish silhouettes right?
Aaahh, okay. At least they're safe from all those random dreadnoughts and their 19th century range finders that roam the Ukrainian forests...
What's even better is it's just some guy with a spray can doing people lmao
camo doesn't make you invisible dumbass
