I´m white as A4 paper, Ginger, the whole thing, and ive been from Egypt to Morocco, dont get sun burned, might turn red the first day off the plane, but after that im fine
its the same as dipshits who say "i can drink 30 beers and cant get drunk, i've never been drunk, it doesnt affect me" then you find out they had 2 sips of a Shandy at their grandma's one time
I cover everything up and wear a wide-brimmed hat. Wear long sleeves/pants made of modern space-age materials wen it's hot out and you won't be hot and you wont get cancer from either the sun or cancer-causing sunblock. Anything else is redditty.
I want a light easily spreadable cream that comes in big bottles and isn't TOO pricey. What would you recommend? I use Eucerin facial lotion that has spf in it now but its kinda small bottles and its a pump. I would rather have a squeeze bottle or something.
Do they sell hats for people with VERY wide heads? I haven't found any that actually fit.
Same, sometimes I'll put sunscreen on the top of my hands though because I don't like wearing gloves, never have heat issues no matter the temperature. Wet neck gaiter helps if its extremely hot and humid. I used to just tan naturally in the summer but decided I didn't want to look like old shoe leather when I am 50
I am ever since I had to go to the ER for hell's itch after going from being in a basement for most of the week to working in the sun with a tank top. I went from "hmm my back's a little itchy" to completely losing my mind and inconsolable agony in about 45 minutes. It's what I imagine being flayed alive feels like.
Ever since then it's zinc + titanium dioxide sunscreen any time I'm out without full clothing.
my partial southern euro genetics afford me some protection as i just turn more and more olive tanned as the summer continues. ive been going to the naked beach a lot lately so i am already so brown lol, and its not even summer yet
Opposite now, was a blonde haired bronze kid, now I fry in 30 minutes. 15 minutes 3 weeks ago and I was red for 2 weeks and then peeled. No pain just itchiness
I turn lily white in the winter and simply ease into getting a tan for spring/summer/fall and am careful not to burn. It’s not hard. I never use sunscreen, sun is good for you. Burning isn’t but I guess that’s an iq test
Sunscreen is normie tier. It’s bad for your skin, bad for the environment, and as soon as you start hiking and getting sweaty it just runs off. It also gets on all your clothes and gear and makes it sticky and gross. It’s good for a quick trip to the beach but that’s it.
The chad move is to learn from the Bedouin of North Africa and completely cover up in loose billowy clothing (ak45 optional). I’ve pretty much got my full sun gear sorted out but the problem is I can’t wear it around other people otherwise they laugh at me. On a scale of 1 to autismo how ridiculous do you think this looks? It works great btw.
100% this. On the US east coast it's sun hoody/fishing shirt and buff all summer. I don't usually have an issue with the legs but that would probably change in high mountains, do you have any recommendations for long pants? I currently use the old boy scout zip offs but they don't dry very quick. How do you feel about sun gloves as well? May be out west later this year and considering hand coverage as well. Share with me your autismo knowledge.
Sun gloves do seem to be working for me. Pretty comfortable for the most part
I don't know what to do about the sun. I'm super pale, and I hike and kayak. I would love to just wear lots of clothes like desert people, but where I live it gets extremely humid and hot sometimes. Like 100F and you can feel the water in the air when you breathe. Can anyone make a recommendation for me to not burn to a crisp. It's the Memphis, TN area.
The outdoor Research activeice hoody actually makes me feel cooler, and it wasn't the worst thing to wear in 95F humid weather. Similar stuff works about as well. The nylons tend to be even more breathable but only darker colors make the grade on UPF.
Looking at your surroundings in this pic it seems like it might be too warm outside for that sort of clothing, I'd try wearing something more light colored maybe a thin long sleeve shirt and some light pants, wide brim hat and sunglasses
If you are outdoors year-round and have a tan before summer comes around, you don't really get burnt. Stop staying indoors all year long then trying to go outside in peak summer.

I stopped riding during the day in summer. The sun in addition to the heat makes me feel ill. So it's rides after supper or in the morning finishing before 10 am. The morning humidity can be pretty nasty but at least its cool.
Take the Japanese sunscreen pill. It uses bemotrizinol, which is not FDA approved yet so it's not supposed to be sold in the US. It's way less sticky and oily than American sunscreens, it feels just like regular lotion when I put it on. Only problem is that it's expensive because you have to import it.

>don't get sunburned
>I just turn red
We're going to vote you out of the ginger club if you keep up with that denial
>vote you out of the ginger club if you keep up with that
What are you gonna do? Steal all my hair?

Just don't leave anymore anon, you belong in a cloudy and rainy place.
A4 is a size

The space age materials will give you cancer.

You have too much brains. Stay inside and write code instead pls, for the benefit of civilization.
Dang, and I thought I was smart.
>Do they sell hats for people with VERY wide heads?
I have a thick XXL skull. Only place I've found hats that fit is Amazon.
which one? I've looked but haven't found anything. I think my skull circumference is like 65cm.
Tilley used to have a pretty wide range of hat sizes. I have a hat that fits me perfect, large noggin and all.

i sunburnt like a motherfricker today. the skin around my knees is bright red and stings, wearing pants is uncomfortable

anyone else used to burn like crazy when they were a kid and now just tastefully bronze instead?

Pretty autismo but you're probably way comfier than I am in the heat so don't worry about it

Is it breathable? Or do you get drenched in sweat?
You look more like an assassin than an autist

i dont eat seed oils, i dont have any problems with sunburns

Doesn’t work if you live in a cloudy shithole then travel somewhere sunny though.

get tan before summer. still wear sunscreen in the summer. wear that material that fishermen wear. it's longsleeve but breathable and water wicking
I stopped riding during the day in summer. The sun in addition to the heat makes me feel ill. So it's rides after supper or in the morning finishing before 10 am. The morning humidity can be pretty nasty but at least its cool.
homie I'm brown
I just wear fisherman clothing
I can feel the pain of that picture. Was once not cautious enough about sunburn, never again. I've learned my lesson.
