Funny thing, horses were extinct on the American continent before Europeans reintroduced them. Anyway, they tended to be like 5'8" or so, which isn't too bad. I'm referring to taller men than that. If you were above 6 foot, you would probably crush a horse if you tried riding it. Maybe you could get away with riding a huge draft horse, but even then I doubt it would survive the strain of a dude taller than 6 foot.
