      >Mil/LEO
Turks made some absolute dogshit IO-tier select fire AK called the SAR-308. Their other military stuff looks fine though.

I hear tisas is fine but be aware. Although the only one I've seen have actual quality and care put into it are Canik. Their firearms are fine but it's hard to find holsters and such for it. Also I think the mags are expensive? All I know is personally my tp9da has only jammed once but definitely likes hotter ammo with how strong the recoil spring is. Also sorry if the last sentence sounds retarded.

I bought a Tisas stainless 1911 for kicks, it was stupid tight, and would absolutely fuck up any brass fed into it. Sold it to a local boomer lgs for $400 which is about how much I paid for it.

        >Have you tried canik
Yes, I thought it was really good and had no problems with it but then again the only other pistol I have ever shot is an old ass Spanish Astra.
        >Also sorry if it sounds like im shilling it.
I dont know why anybody would think that.

      What are laws like there?

Decent. Better than most of Europe, and most guns are illegally owned anyway. Its the culture I have a problem with. Most gun owners are fudds that cannot tell "gauge" from "caliber". Its a great place to literally fucking die of second hand embarassment. There are top blokes of too of course.

I like mine. The frame/slide fit was a bit tight for my liking, so I smoothed it out with bootleg lapping paste (toothpaste), and now the slide glides back and forth like butter. The trigger was shit but five minutes with a stone and you can make it a pretty decent break.

Not the ones being imported into the US.
They are capable of making a good gun, but the market apparently demands dirt cheap shotguns.

The shotguns are iffy, yeah, but the handguns and SP5 clones are coming in with good reviews. They're also sending other roller-delayed stuff this year.

My only autoloader is a Canuck 1911, which was just the Canadian import name for Tisas. It's pretty good, I've never really had a problem with it, but I'm not an autoloader guy and vastly prefer my revolvers so I'm not the best to give you a review.

caniks and the series 70 1911 clones are good

    shotguns generally no

They range from shit to actually good. The really cheap shit has shoddy QC and design, the midrange stuff like stoeger is good more than its not, and stuff like Caniks are pretty solid guns.
I don't like turkroaches enough to buy any of it though.

There are Turkish guns at all price points and quality levels. Use the same rules for literally who brands at low prices that you would for Taurus. Did they design the gun? If not, you're probably fine. If so, you'll need to triple check the reviews. Turkish shotguns are known to be decent while being reasonably cheap.

They can be ok. There are many rebranded turk guns like Mossberg SA 20, some Weatherby, and several others that have good working reputation. The Tristar Viper G2 shotguns seem to have a good track record as well. Yildiz brand sold by Academy seem to have good reviews. It kinda just depends on the price point set by ppl who contract with them. IMO their quality will only go up in time as they try to skip the middleman and try to get a slice of the market directly. They still have relatively cheap labor and in recent years have invested a lot in advanced manufacturing.

    They can be.
Everything I have heard or seen about their shotguns has led me to believe that you shouldn't trust any of their Pump-Actions or Auto-Loaders, even the more expensive ones seem to be shit. Possible exceptions for their double-barrels (have never heard anything about them, good or bad, in the first place) and shotguns made for companies like Winchester, Stoeger and Mossberg, which all seem to have a better reputation than any other Turk shotguns.
I believe their pistols tend to be better, Caniks have a decent reputation. Tisas 1911s also seem to be liked well enough, I have a friend who owns one and he likes it. I own a Girsan Regard, a copy of the Beretta 92, and I have personally never had any issues with it, though that probably just means I haven't shot it enough.
I've heard that their MP5 clones are actually pretty good, I'll probably try to get one myself soon assuming they don't go out of stock or I hear something that completely disproves the idea that they're fine.

MKE produces licensed HK-clones on HK-tooling afaik. They also produce for the Turkish military.
I had an turk semiauto shotgun by Akkar, worked fine but needed cleaning very often. Sold it because it felt cheap.

Depends. Their shotguns are usually trash, and I got to see that first hand when another channer's M4 clone just would not feed, no matter what loads it had. Meanwhile, my Tisas 1911 and MKE MP5 clones run like tops and are fantastic.

No, not at all. You can tell by how much of it is consumed by canucks.

i used to have a tisas 1911 and I thought it was alright. got rid of it because I can't afford to fund .45 ammo on top of 9mm and 5.56 and .38.

If you're going to get one get the full sized "US Army" model instead of a gay tacticool version

In recent years, absolutely. I have a canik. Best pistol I've ever owned. Put 3000 round through it not a single malfunction. Competed with it and shot left handed with it and almost beat everyone because it's so accurate. If you're looking at a 1911 government model, there's no reason not to get the tisas version. Great value.

Just buy an Auto Ordinance for like 100 bucks more. Your ancestors are ashamed of you for considering a B2B werl war winrar that's not American made.

Might as well buy a Colt brand Colt 1911 for like $100-200 more at that point.
