african Black folk build houses out of shit and dirt so I guess it depends on what you mean by stable structure. Will it last 1000 years? No. Could it last a few years with proper care and maintenance? Yes.

    it is stable

it is in fact more stable than an average OSB house because the whole house is lightweight and those cartons are more than enough for what is on top + earthquake movements

they did the maths i'm sure

What's a way to measure house stability? I know of the international building code and machinery that stimulates earthquake but is there anyway for me, a dumb DIY builder, to measure how weak or strong my structure is?

What does lightweight have to do with stability?
      A tent is lightweight

you need stronger structures for heavier buildings, because of gravity and shit

The DIY method is to build it, then test it, i.e. destroy it.

6 inch cardboard tubes are pretty strong, putting a 4 inch hole in them seems like a bad idea.

If it were 6 inch bamboo, it would be much better.

As emergency crap shelter it has potential, but has shortcomings.

Japan actually does rebuild at a ridiculous rate. They consider any house more than a couple decades old as deprecated, and lots of people don't want an established house but want to tear down and rebuild if they're buying.
