actually speaking of, OP here, check out odysee.com, it has all the cool printable guns (pic related, AWCY Ark), and try to guess which is mine.

No, we tell you to buy a reputable gun and stock ammo and mags.

Hi homosexual, maybe you haven't seen the shit about people not only printing 37mm grenade launchers, but the ammo for it too? BESIDES all the reliable printable gun designs that are out there already- there are so many glock magazine ar15 parted straight blowback 9mm carbines that you should never buy one again.

Arguing to stay stupid, keeps you stupid.

      It's so tiresome
Can't discuss anything without schizos butting in with nonsense. Post a 3d printed lower and everytime some autist comes out of the woodwork saying it isn't a true 3d printed gun because not all of the components were printed.

Film yourself throwing a rock 400 yards, I'll wait.

I'm assuming you've seen one shoot a single very low powered shot on some occasion, and that's what you base your shitty opinion off of.
They'll hold the legal limit of powder no problem, that means pushing 150 to 400 yards depending on your choice of marker and load.

Frick yes I've seen Thump 'n' Grinds and GU-37 launchers pushing chalk markers past the quarter mile mark.

I'd wager you don't know what the frick you're talking about, because if you'd actually built one, loaded ammo for it, and shot it, you wouldn't be spewing shit from your facial sphincter.

High-low systems in grenade launchers are purely based on the ammo you fricktard.
I'm not sure you know what a high-low system is.

My Thump 'n' Grind pushes well past 1000ft with ease, if yours doesn't (because it doesn't exist) that's your problem.

Stop crying because you don't own anything fun or interesting and are too stupid to make something yourself. Buy a can-cannon and piss off back to Youtube kiddo.

Nobody is arguing that it is a High-Low system, you're just b***hing because what, the rounds in the default pack aren't high-lows? You're b***hing because people don't want to frick with tax stamps and would rather print chalk rounds and fireworks.

I don't know of a homemade high-low cartridge for 37mm launchers, don't know why you're so fricking interested in them.

                Anonymous

Why was that ever a goal post though? You're still the only one screaming about it. I thought it was weird that you were asserting the launcher wasn't high-low, when launchers aren't high-low, rounds for grenade launchers can be.

Brass rounds like these, both sleeved and "solid" options, are very popular, and they can absolutely toss the shit out of a heavy load.

Maybe look at more than one video, I don't record myself shooting because I'm not doing it for the 'gram.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about, you're just spouting shit because your dog needs a break between dick-downs.

There are fricking shitload of rounds you can make for 37mm launchers. It's just a 37mm launcher. You put 37mm rounds in it. That is all. It's not intended for antipersonnel rounds, as that would make it a destructive device.

How many printed guns do you have? How bad are they? None, I assume.

3D Printed guns are fricking awesome, inexpensive, and hugely entertaining.

If you only own guns for personal defense and think shooting anything that doesn't have a pulse is a waste of time, you can frick right off. Do you give shit to people who practice on paper targets too? God forbid, plinking?

Tell me what sucks about a 3D printed gun, and back it up.
All of mine have been reliable, massive amounts of fun, great conversation starters, and give me no issues. However, they do save me tons of money, so there's that I guess. Do you hate money?

Frick off prick, some people like guns and don't strictly own them to compensate for a limp dick and a sore sphincter. You're the guy who gets kicked out of the range for loudly and dangerously expressing his small-minded opinions while others try and have a good time.

thats what they're going to not mention when time comes to screech about 3d printers. you can't just buy one, plug it in, press go, and have an untraceable ghost gun undetectable by xray. it's a tool and you have a lot to learn if you want anything good out of it. GL anon.

3D printers, even pretty expensive ones, have at least a couple calibration processes that need user interaction before they will work reliably. If you can't do those processes correctly, you'll get a big pile of shit instead of good parts.

            basically this

3D printers, even pretty expensive ones, have at least a couple calibration processes that need user interaction before they will work reliably. If you can't do those processes correctly, you'll get a big pile of shit instead of good parts.

and over time the things start to unlevel themselves requiring that calibration process again as well as issues with feeding filament or heating or whatever may go wrong needing user troubleshooting and repair on top of testing temperatures and settings for different materials. they're impressive machines but they still require maintenance and foresight. and once it's all said and done you still have to work with metal and purchased parts.

Most likely the best way forward for the super-DIY side of gun making is to take a page from from the global village construction set.

Figure out which machines beyond a 3D printer + hand tools you need to make a really good gun, then develop instructions to make a "good enough" version of those machines with your starting tools.

Hopefully it doesn't stop. Regardless of that though, it is interesting how gun stuff actually manages to become harder and harder to stop from being produced. Eventually, it'll just turn into metal printing when the price lowers enough and it will well and truly be dead then.

The coupler between the motor shaft and Z axis have two grub nuts. Tighten one on the flat of the motor, and the other into the shallow part of the acme thread.

Printable AR15 receivers I have printed and tested, ranked:
    1. Hoffman (sturdiest)
    2. Hoffman Ubolt (sturdy and aesthetic, prints in one piece, but have to file down U bolts)
    3. Anderson Hellfire (100% printable but breaks more easily)

Senate is banning homemade firearms as well as private sales. 3d print guns are held back only by the best materials the printer can print.

Also you could build an AR-15 lower receiver entirely out of wood. Upper needs some metal or a very hard wood for the barrel mounting.

when i look through the gap between the slide and frame that surface 1 seems to be whats in the way

It's a 3011, go look it up if you want to know why it is the way that it is, because it's neat.

        [...]
        More detail.
What frame did you print? Be specific, there are a frickload.

You can't rack it, is it totally locked up won't move a millimeter, or is it making it back a little? 5mm? 1/2 inch? 80% of the way?

Check your locking block. You bought a locking block right? Make god damned sure it's the right one for your frame, read the readme, use the one the readme says to use.

Can you rack it while manipulating the takedown lever?
Make sure your takedown lever is seated fully and correctly. What gen takedown spring/lever? The top of that spring should be below the face of the rail block. Make sure your shit is cleaned up and you've got no leftover support material fricking with you. If your settings aren't on point and the slot is too tight, it may not seat, and that can prevent the slide from moving.

Try pushing down on the barrel lug while racking, if that works then your locking block probably isn't seated right. (Or it's the wrong one entirely.)

Check that your trigger bar isn't fouling horribly on anything, look for where it might be fricking things up. It's unlikely for it to be so bent that it causes this, but it can happen. If it's a little bent to begin with, it's not that hard to accidently full send it into a twisted useless piece of shit.

fmda dd19.2 and used a psa dagger slide, the trippy stipple one
when the trigger is forward or reset it only moves like 3-5mm back, if i use all my force i can force it to rack, it seems to clear something blocking it and then proceeds.
i bought a g19 gen3 kit with locking block like the guide says
there is nothing i can manipulate for it to rack easier, gonna check those area you showed

Some weird choices were made in this "carbine" design. Why did you choose to move the pistol grip behind the magazine? It just adds unnecessary length. Was the idea to use AR15 FCG parts and pistol grip with a 1911 slide? Fricking weird.

Not yet, I reckon it'll be a while as I doubt many people are involved in the beta given the upfront costs involved in actually working on a receiver compared to other works.

        Anonymous

Why would the receiver be that expensive? You'd think the bigger issue would be getting uppers.

          Anonymous

lookup the price of bolts, barrels and FCGs for the AUG and compare them to the works people have been posting on Oddysee, few people are interested in 3d printing a receiver for a platform that's got that high of an entry price tag unfortunately. Not to mention that gives them all the more reason to be extra careful in trying to get their shit down pat the first try as to not disappoint those who dropped a good chunk of change in order to participate or be on the ground floor when the file drops. These people have reputations in the community and a standard to uphold and with something like the Steyr AUG they can't exactly release something like a smooth shitty glock 19 frame that at least works but feels like shit and has to be improved by other members because there's just not enough players in the game so to speak for that to be viable. Let them take their time and in the meantime grab parts while you can before the storm of scalpers come to ruin your dreams.

i find it kind of hilarious people put these 'braces' on their guns, as if feds couldn't frick them for an sbr because there's a little strap on their stock. If they just put a regular stock on there's a very slim chance anything would change

Yeah that is not a brace.
      That is a whole gun.

then what's with the strap, other then trying to make it legally defensible as a 'pistol brace'? I don't know the story behind that gun, maybe he did the SBR paperwork

          Anonymous

Totally misunderstood at first, yeah the pistol brace shit is fricking stupid. Braces are just stocks by another name so folks can avoid tax stamps.

I don't mind, I'll gladly save the money and have a skinny stock over a real one. It's not like it's for helping someone handle the recoil of their 9mm, it's just for stability. It genuinely is satisfying to shoot these "PDW" style pistols.

My 8.5" AR-9 is a delight, and the brace makes it more fun to shoot, because I use it as a stock, like everyone does.

I think it's bigger than ever because of folks trying to save money. You slap together a parts kit 3D printed Glonk&Wesson for $80, you really want to drop cash on a tax stamp to legally stick it in a chassis? Frick naw, you're building a discount Scorpion Evo, not fricking around with no ATF or paperwork, not voluntarily meeting the local sheriff who's arrested them numerous times before, they just want cheap and easy and anything that goes against that is worth fighting.

            Anonymous

Yeah I have no problem with braces as a loophole. Its just that under actual legal scrutiny I don't think any of these home-made 'braces' would actually hold up. They don't even resemble designs approved by the ATF, its just that nobody's actually going to be charged for an SBR because their home isn't going to be searched, and as much as people would have you believe, feds don't bust people for posting some random image of an illegal gun on PrepHole. However, if they were arrested for something else, and the cops found their 'totally just a pistol guise :D', it is absolutely feasible they'd get the book thrown at them.

Let's work backwards. PLA is not body safe or food safe. Commercially, virgin PLA can actually be used to create dissolving stiches, it's not dangerous to expose yourself to it in small amounts. However, the stuff used for 3D printing has plenty of carcinogenic shit in it.

I wouldn't put PLA up my ass, anything that off-gasses is generally bad
          also sharp edges bad

This fella is right, 3D printed PLA will continue to let off nastiness almost indefinitely. Even when it's totally stable, it's a hard plastic and will wear like other hard materials, leaving dust and fine particles.

Don't ever put PLA inside your body. You can use it for casting though.

Anon, you used the 3d print you printed to create a mold that you cast with body safe silicine, the result can go up your ass without any issues

This is correct. Seriously, design whatever, print a mold or print a positive and cast a mold, either way. You want very, very soft silicone for sex toys. Female toys you can push further, but the silicone used is softer than some folks realize. Male sex toys, you want to stick your dick in it, even softer, some of the softest silicone that exists is used for pocket-pussies, we're talking 10D-15D, that's soft as frick.

          Let's break it down!
          >Biden's Bane Upper, Mono-Poly Lower, HT-FRT
The Biden's Bane Upper is a full-sized carbine or rifle upper for the AR-15 platform. It's quite new. It's currently the only proven and tested design for a rifle-caliber AR upper receiver. There are numerous other receivers that you can print, but they're almost entirely for rimfire and pistol calibers. The Biden's Bane will happily accept mag-dumps of 77gr all day assuming you build it right.

The Mono-Poly is a lower receiver for the AR-15. There are many lower receiver designs available, plenty that will handle even large rifle calibers, folks print AR-10 lowers without concern. The UBAR and Hoffman's Super Lower are popular choices right now. The Mono-poly is a fantastic design, it more closely resembles the functionality and design of an early M16. It's mostly an aesthetic thing, but it is a very good lower design. If you have a large format printer (CR-10 or great), you can print it as a monolithic lower receiver, hence the name Mono-poly, monolithic polymer receiver.

The HT-FRT is one of many "Forced Reset Trigger" designs, currently riding in a very rough gray area of the law, they allow for semi-automatic fire at rates similar to full-auto. They're legal by technicality, and likely won't be forever, expect them to go the way of bump stocks. That said, they're currently available! Off the shelf units are fricking overpriced as hell. The "Rare-Breed FRT-15" is likely the most notable commercial example, they ask $380 for a sub-par trigger with the bonus of full-auto-like firing. Well frick that, print one. There are plenty of options. There are even ones that are meant to be combined with a mil-spec trigger group.

The HT-FRT is just a "notable" one, it's really not the best, but it did earn them a cease-and-desist from Rare-Breed those cucks.

Get on the israelitetube and search for "Forced Reset Trigger" if you want to see the effect.

          Basically I'm recommending you build a <$250 AR-15.

      Anonymous

Depends on your definition of durable and long lasting, but the short answer is yes.

I dont think ive seen one actually. There is an ar mag called . . . the waffle mag or someshit like that I think.

Yes, waffle mags are a thing and are seemingly very reliable.

        Anonymous

        Yes on all counts.
A good printed mag can be shockingly durable, depending on the mag, spring, filament, your print settings, local weather . . . They can be good, truly, but they can be shit too.

The AR waffle mags are pretty damn good, not perfect, but they do work. Ivan's is good too. (they are not the same, don't know why some people think they are)

The Everytown .22lr mags are really fricking impressive given what a b***h rimfire mags can be.

Practically every popular 9mm mag can be printed. Glock mags, most S&W, Taurus, Sig Sauer, Sten, Uzi, Grease Gun, the list goes on. Glock mags get the attention.

Menendez mags are good, newer DMB mags are better, they're stronger and closer to OEM mags. Get 'em anywhere from 7rds up to 100rd stacks if your printer can fit 'em.

They're very cost-effective. I have stacks of 25rd Glonk mags, they cost <$1 to print, so I keep extras. If I drop and break one, frick it so long as the spring doesn't frick off.
They're good for thousands of rounds no problemo, but they won't take a fall if they're loaded. I print in cheap bottom-tier PLA+.

Springs are cheap, really damn good ones are $3/ea. Used to be tons of Chinese ones starting at less than $1, but they're harder to find anymore. You can make your own, there are printable jigs and tools to help. If you're buying music wire on the cheap, you can wrap springs for <$1.

DMB drum mags available, you can have a bad ass versatile drum that'll fit a shitload of different platforms, run you <$10USD ea if you're building 2 or 3 at a time. $30 for 3 9mm drums is a pretty good fricking deal.

There are AK mags, 2 old designs floating around. They suck. It's an AK thing. They murder magazines, they do, it's their nature. It's not a problem with steel mags, it's not a problem with really fricking good polymer mags, but printed AK mags just do not hold up. They've been around for awhile, but you won't see them much, you'll be lucky to get through 10rds twice with PLA+.

          Anonymous

You should know that AKs also murder aluminum mags as well, even though fiber glass reinforced plastics hold up fine (looking at you, AC unity)

All of this shit get released in the same place, Odysee.
Finding anything on Odysee is a joke, so that means finding and following developers.
DEFCAD is a homosexual honeypot that exists to pay the legal fees of a pedophile, and nothing on there is of any interest. If it's there, it's either a) Free Elsewhere, b) Untested Hot Garbage, or c) Stolen.
DEFCAD is a useless joke, as evidenced by all of their biggest and most prominent developers all leaving and releasing their shit on Odysee, because you can't spread the signal if you put it behind a paywall.

Only place you'll find a big pile of developers other than chatrooms is on Reddit, fosscad.

ModeratorGage made a decent list at one point, SangreDeTruchas stuck it here https://pastebin.com/r6ySCiKk

It's a good starting point, but it's far from everything out there.
Search for that shit on Odysee, follow the person, enjoy your giant stream of gun parts.

printed an ak mag, will have to order springs or take some out of other mag before testing though
probably won't last as long as a regular mag, wear resistance would probably depend the most of on printer settings itself

Feed lips are an almost universal problem for everything not originally designed with a plastic or thick magazine (Glock for example) but besides that if printed correctly (print lines vertically not horizontally) they are very reliable.

i have an ender 3 with a glass bed. ever since i switch to the glass bed, my print adhesion is insanely high. prints are just cemented to the glass and nothing short of sticking it in the freezer for an hour will help. what am i doing wrong? too high of a bed temp? im using pla at 80 degrees F.
i switched to a painters tape base (which has worked so far) but i woke up to a 14 hour print lifting from the bed this morning.

      Anonymous

Reduce bed temp to below the glass transition temp of PLA (45-50 degrees C). If that fails, use hair spray.

        Anonymous

        i meant to say C not F*
thank you for the reply. this is only my third print with the glass bed and im still figuring it out. anyway, attempt #2 is on the way

          Anonymous

when they get too sticky, i preheat the bed on "ABS" material, which is around 70C, after 2 mins reaching that temp, i take it off with gloves and put on fridge for 5 mins, then it comes out most of the time with no issue.

Now if you wanna skip all this, you could get those "fleximats" that go over the bed to remove the prints easier, but you have to replace em after some time, but they arent expensive

S&W Bodyguard or M&P if you can find them.

This is a fricking perfect answer.

If that's not *cough* Cost-Effective enough for you, the G2C and G3C are good cheap.
The FOSS-Cannon is probably more resilient than the OEM frames, and it's definitely better looking.
The trigger is horrid, pseudo-double-action-safety-airline-miles not for women and children, blech.
Put it together right, it's an extremely reliable and entertaining piece, more so than I'm willing to credit Taurus with.
Parts kits are cheap, you can get away for under $150 if you've got any patience, just watch out for the rusty ones Jamal stored in the jenkem tank between drive-bys.

Bigger, if you're into Barely Concealed Carry, the S&W SD9/SD40 is top-tier good cheap, reliable trash, Glonk&Wesson best anime crossover, buy spring kit on eBay for price of latte to take the wet noodle out the the thousand-yard trigger and enjoy your $120 Not-A-Glock 19.

Hey everyone, don't print Hi-Points, they're bad cheap. Tons of problems with the Hi-Point models, the original Hi-Point design is barely vaguely safe, once you 3D print it you can kiss that tiny margin goodbye. They like to fire if you touch the fricking slide. Saw a reddit post recently of a motherfricker who ND'd his 3D printer with a printed Hi-Point. Tons of reports of issues with these frickers, both the 9mm and the bigger JHP/JCPenny/whatever the bigger ones are, frick.

SD9/40 with Glonk/Menendez Mag is basically perfect, just get a good SD trigger and you probably get the best 3d print handgun atm.
