Comfortable as a thick wetsuit of the same size? Sort of.
I have one for exercising in. It sucks so much to sweat in them. I have the Crossbreed, wife has one made specifically for women,..has some lace on of...hers is the same material though, even from a different company.
NGL any non grip safety gun in OP's pic setup & your likely to shoot your dick off with that carry set up though...
Besides every CC never has the manual safety on to begin with, they're all itching for a viable quick draw excuse/scenario
Depends on where you at - climate-wise
Can be nice during the winter, the REAL winter. But makes you sweat buckets above 60 degrees.
Unlike striker fired modern shit the 1911 has safeties worth their names. Safeties which prevent accidential movement of the trigger and/or the hammer.
A Glock goes boom the very second the trigger is touched, no matter how much guys want to tell us that little "spur" would prevent that.
A 1911 on the other hand only goes boom if the manual thumb safety is disengaged AND the grip safety is fully depressed.
So now take a good look at that holster:
Using a Glock or any other striker gun of the same style means its enough when the trigger gets engaged somehow ->Great risk
Using a 1911 means THREE things must happen at the same time: Trigger engaged, thumb safety off and grip safety pushed all the way in -> Highly unlikely
I used to use one extensively to conceal a Makarov where guns were technically not allowed and I was constantly doing work that involved my beltline being completely exposed. If you need deep concealment, they absolutely work. They're not very comfortable in jeans but you get used to it, on the flip side you can carry in sweatpants/shorts/whatever. When I finished my shift, I would usually reposition it so that the grip was above my beltline in case I needed to draw while walking home.
Belly bands do one of two things: >do not hold the firearm securely >make it difficult to draw the gun quickly with a solid firing grip
The Enigma Solves both issues, and is more comfortable (with the sport belt) than any belly band I've attempted. It's 100% worth it. I went on a week long road trip a while back and wore it comfortably the entire time. It's fricking amazing. Order an Enigma express with the sport belt immediately if you're considering belly bands.
Comfortable as a kydex appendix carry? No.

I wouldn't even call that appendix, that barrel is laying right on top of the base, he'll be fine.
Also 1911 with manual and grip safety so wut?

I think he's confused with the OG GI 1911s that weren't drop safe even with the safe engaged.
That looks hotter than the devils 16 year old daughter. No bueno.
I've been using one for about 5 years now. Running & cycling... LCP. I think it's solid and I haven't blown my dick off. yet...
they're good with sweatpants, tracksuit or swim shorts
but with jeans and shit, a standard iwb holster is better
why are you black
You'd probably have to blame his parents.
i have no experience with them but a couple of people i know who have tried both say that the phlster enigma does the job better
A belly band is also like 200 dollars cheaper and can be purchased without a three week wait.
Enigma Express starts at $150 and mails out same/next day.
you're forgetting the 75+ dollar holster that conveniently doesnt count for your little cope post there champ
Express comes with the holster
Bellybands are pieces of shit

Get some sort of trigger gaurd cover and it'll be good
Feels kinda weird and sweaty if u do actual work but if ur just lazy it's perfect

People genuinely shill on /k/?
How do I take a piss with a belly band or an enigma???
It's tricky with a belly band but not hard with an Enigma.
