LPVOs are smaller and lighter and inherently more difficult to break, with capped windage and elevation. especially so after the death of the NXS 2.5-10x24 and 32, and the lack of a ~2-10 in the ATACR lineup.
I piggyback because GBRS, Unity, and many other high risers have said it is better for CQB which is exactly why you would want a dot on top of an LPVO.

I personally haven't heard of a catch all term for it, but its usually just described as "shooting with non dominate arm".
I know "off hand" is kinda confusing, I had a ex-military neighbor that I went shooting with and was telling him how off hand shooting is pretty difficult with my setup as its heavy and he was confused as to him it meant to shoot with your non-dominate arm/hand. But search online for it and it describes shooting without being supported i.e. just arms and your body.

I find an ACOG with a piggybacked RMR to be the best minmaxing of weight and durability for a rifle. Same weight as a T2 and G43, still have your red dot on the autistic zoomer 2.5 inches over bore, but better at shooting distance. a full pound lighter than the cheapest good lpvo.

It is the Sig Saue Tango MSR. When I looked through it, simply incredible view. It completely blew the nightforce out of the ocean. And it's made in the Great land of China, simply unbelievable stuff they can make their. On the Tango MSR, the clarity is impecceble. Also almost exactly the same as the ATACR 1-8 ,if not better.

LPVOs are smaller and lighter and inherently more difficult to break, with capped windage and elevation. especially so after the death of the NXS 2.5-10x24 and 32, and the lack of a ~2-10 in the ATACR lineup.
also, daily reminder that the only 2 good LPVOs are the VCOG 1-8 and the ATACR 1-8. anything else is shit and will break if you drop it
