Are transfer fees on guns bought in-store a thing in most places? Never had to pay one at a pawn shop/gun shop in my area if it was a firearm they had in their inventory (vs something I had shipped in).

Based. Only homosexuals who can't fix shit complain about not having a warranty.
i got a Ruger LCP in like 2013 or so and still conceal carry it.
With any used gun though you really need to look it over, ideally take it apart and go over everything. A lot of idiots own guns and do stupid shit/abuse them.

>buying firearms that you cannot unfrick yourself with spare parts
Unless you need to replace a receiver on some hard to obtain but still commercially sold firearm there is no reason to warranty shit.

WI has a $15 fee for handgun background checks that go through the state (still do a NICS as well) but rifles have no fee unless its a online purchase or something and you aren't buddies with the FFL holder.
I bought an XD-45 4" back in 2008. My first handgun. It was new. But technically I did buy it from a pawn shop. It's been a good gun, just heavy as shit with 13+1 of 2 world wars.
Yes, plenty of old .22s and shotguns. Got tons of great deals at a local pawn shop before the most recent world craziness started. Stuff like a 1950's Ithaca 37 for $100, same with a Winchester Model 12, great .22 plinkers, etc.
Just know your stuff and inspect well. Too bad all the real deals are gone now 🙁
i bought a glock from a pawn shop while i was with my boomer dad a couple weeks ago and he keeps busting my balls and telling me i 'aint no son of his' because i didnt haggle with them. i didnt even know u could do that
Got a Taurus G3c subcompact, it came with a kydex holster, as well as a leather holster, plus leather magazine pouch, and like three magazines all for the price of two Benjamin's, and a grant. Overall pretty happy with it. I'm probably going to stick it in my tackle box for fishing trips.
Bought a Glock 23 Gen 2 in 2007ish when I was poor as frick and lived in a really shit part of town. I didn’t know much about guns, overpaid, and got a gun that was probably next to a Black folk balls but I had something to defend my apartment with.
>someone else's sloppy seconds
>worth any number of one's shekels
Anyone who buys exclusively new guns is a woman

cope, if you can't service your own guns you're either a Black person, homosexual, or a woman. it's also possible you're a combination of all three.

I bought two guns from land of entrapment pawn in ABQ. They were fine, 5 dollar transfer which is the lowest I've seen or heard of.

No, I bought them via gallery of guns and had them transferred through the store.

I bought a bolt action 20ga with a cracked stock for $70. It's old so it doesn't have a serial number which is pretty cool.

Used firearms yes, new firearms no. Don’t feel bad. If he was a better dad he would have taken you aside and coached you.
