If you have the type of power supply that has a latching pushbutton you can remove that and replace it with one of the intermittent buttons on your TV board, plus something like a clothespin to keep the button pressed. To power down, you remove the clothespin.
Ofc it doesnt, its a pcb of switches and a few diodes. You'll need some sort of latch circuit. I would say sorry for you being moronic but you are too entertaining.
Leave it to the morons of PrepHole to not know their heads from their asses.
Connect the PCB to the run pin on the PI and ground it. Done.
That doesnt power off as per the OP. You're illiterate and likely a gorrila Black person.

Are you daft? Its a soft button for the bootloader. It initiates a shutdown in software if you detect it. Actual power stays live.
You want actual power down you cut the rails. You want a software shutdown button fine but it wasnt the original OP.
Also this is SQTDDTOT shit and EASILY GOOGLE ABLE as well as its commonly understood shit on /g. >there isnt another way
Thats not what your mom said last nite.

OP is solved, dipshit. Just because you had to run to Google and return 30 minutes later with your mom jokes doesn't make me wrong.

Its not a power off button its more of a reset. It doesnt actually power off, its just a pin the software looks at. You use this to invoke a proper os shutdown, then remove power after its complete.
So yes you are very, very wrong.

then what is the purpose of the power button entry in the device tree?

Amazing how a tech board pointed you to a boomer board that suggests using clothespins on a psu. Maybe use google anon and learn what a latch is.
PrepHole Black folk can suck my dick, they should've pointed him to /SQTDDTOT/

Yes plz op make a short, post results.
You're hopeless.
Use the two pins from the power button, complete the circuit. There's no need to do anything else.

Is this a bot thread?
Yes.
>How can I go about Powering on/off a Pi 5 with this old TV PCB?
you... can't.
OP…can i pee in your butt
Does the PCB output 5V at 3.5A+?
Is your solution going to be cheaper than a $7 psu from Amazon?
Then frick off.
