It's also damn near completely sealed. If you pack the internals in grease water can't even get in to displace it. Revolvers jam due to parts failures or gross neglect. Autos can jam because you held it wrong.
You can frick up a trigger pull, but that takes some skill. Shitty/hot ammo bulging primers sticking the cylinder. Filling it full of dirt isn't advised. There was some video years ago, VHS I think even, about taking apart a woman's revolver who kept it in her purse and there was a wad of lint behind the trigger so big it stopped it from being able to be pulled.
During my NS days, during shooting exams I came across all kinds of Revolver issues.
From keyholing, light hammer strikes, worn out pins, cylinder dropping onto the floor after the first shot, fully pulling the trigger, the cylinder on spin 1/2 but the hammer works vice versa.
Its either the armorer blows goat balls or the revolvers were just too used.

Take a J-frame and re-engineer it to be as cheap to make as possible. The LCR and the 856 have completely fricked S&Ws snubby market share.

its cheap. Youre better off buying a regular model 49 bodyguard or if youre dead set on an air weight model, get a smith 642 or a ruger lcr.
If you want a cheaper snubnose, buy a rossi or taurus and put your faith in god to the test
I carry the S&W Bodyguard 38. Mostly pocket carry, some IWB. Never had a jam. On the up side, it's very light, easy to carry. On the down side, it's very light, will punish you with range shooting. If I buy another one, it will be an stainless Taurus 856 with a concealed hammer. However, 38sp ammo has been hard to find at times, and I'm also considering a Shield Plus in 9mm.
have a similar model. Its miserable to shoot and at five yards I was pulling hard left because of the amount of trigger pull. My step mom is physically incapable of using it as a CCW.
Its only good for putting it in someone's gut and firing. Anything beyond that it may as well just be a pop gun, cause the only way you'll kill them is scaring them to death thinking they've been shot.
Yeah, I carry a snubby in my 9-5. Outside of a controlled zone, I choose something bigger with more punch like my M&P shield. Since it's cooler out, I usually carry a VP9sk or a Glock 19 on the weekends. For funsies on certain days in winter, I'll carry my 1911, Python or PX4 storm in a shoulder holster. Just to give them some fresh air and sunlight.
I wanted to love those k6s's so badly. I thought they were the neatest shit until I got to hold one and the grips were comically small. Then I started looking for the target model with the 4" barrel and even those are too small for my hands. Why was I cursed with bear paws? I'm forever cursed to carry a ruger alaskan if I want a snubby because they're the only grips that fit factory. RIP my belt.
i almost picked up one of these revolvers as a gift for myself for getting my masters. but i couldnt find a snub with wood grips and a hammer at the time. maybe in the future, how do you like the gun?
>How exactly are those clips supposed to help.
Help? Uhhh. They don't really "help". OH.. I see.. you think that they are AMMO CLIPS. So you never used a revolver and loaded with SPEED STRIPS? Hmm. Well sonny, I'm pretty well practiced and if needed I can reload my 340 faster than you can reload your imaginary whatever it is you wish owned.
They're more concealable. Yes, they're absolutely slower without any doubt, but they don't look like a stack of half dollars or another pouch on your belt sticking out 3 inches either.
You can't use moon clips without extensive modification to your cylinder in most cases. The only real choice is strip or speed loader. Most speedloaders are awful for snubnose revolvers because the cylinders are closer to the frame when opened. Even if you find one that works well with your gun they are big and clunky. Speed strips are basically the best option available.
Active Self Protection's John talks about how often he sees a private citizen need a reload in the 40k+ defensive uses he's watched (spoiler, it's zero times) and does a little math to rationalize why he personally feels a reload isn't worth carrying.

All right. I'm convinced. I'm ready to look into them and get a couple and practice.
What should I be looking for in good, durable speed loading strips? What prices might I expect as good or bad for what different brands/models offer?
I'd be happy carrying one strip with ten cartridges on it, but what options are available? And what advantages would they have or not have comparing a six-strip to a ten or whatever is available?
Looking for strips that would hold .357/.38. I wouldn't mind having half a dozen or so strips in a convenient location that are loaded with different ammo options.
Thanks. I assume this brand has a reputation for durability? I like the 2 for $14 deal. That makes it an affordable buy-in to have a half dozen on-hand.
Anyone have comments regarding a thin, straight strip vs. the staggered double-stack of the K-Pak? I like being able to load three cartridges at once, but is the additional bulk of the wider strip design anything to be concerned about for practical carry?
I feel the ideal would be a single-wide strip of ten or twelve for flat/concealed carry. But, maybe a pair of these K-Paks is just as good or better?

Oh and if you're gonna go for straight strips get a 7 rd for a 5 shot gun and a 8rd for a 6 shot gun so you can have a space between to make it easier. Like a 7 shot would be 2, empty, 2, empty, 1 and a 8 shot would be 2, empty, 2 empty, 2. You'd load two rds at a time.

If you can find spicy it never hurts, it's about the same price as fancy .357 these days which is bullshit. Wadcutters are the base line and they do just fine, what you shoot is whatever makes you feel better. >.327
Deadder n' hell
The fact that this guy was let off for effectively """murdering""" a pedo directly in front of cops was a small shimmer that there is some good in this world.
>The youngest generation where a majority of them are under 18 don't own guns??
All that brass hoarding has given you lead induced brain damage. Boomers have no grasp of statistics. Young people = bad
I'm 21 yet a revolver was my first pistol, not a used glock, because A: it was calling to me in the used case, B. My area isn't Chicago, C. I respect and love revolvers for what they are. Revolvers are pretty stupid proof, VERY hard to break/jam, easy controls, and 38 special is pretty well always in stock
Roughly 20 mins of searching youtube for videos of autos jamming. I didn't bother with longer format videos about some autloader jam and how to correct it or some guy talking for 15 mins about his broken gun just short-ish videos of autos jamming at the range.
I have carried a gun damn near everyday for 27years. Most of that time has been with an autoloader. There's nothing wrong with autoloaders but there's also nothing wrong with revolvers. Whatever you train with the most and shoot the best is the gun for you. hits count. First hits count most.
>now listen here sonny, two world wars and I know what I got, blah blah mumble mumble they don't make a .358, technology bad old shit good
USMC '78-'78
sent from my tapatalk
I then spent roughly the same amount of time looking for revolver "jams".
The vast majority of hits for "revolver jam" was people saying YES REVOLVERS JAM not actual videos of revolvers jamming. This motherfricker is my favorite:
here's a wacky jam that is only possible with revolvers:
If you have a top break and don't open it vigorously enough, a cartridge can get wedged under the ejector star. Then you can't close the action, and there's no ejector rod to hit, so your only option is to grab the star with your fingers and pull it out of the way while you shake the cartridge out.
Pretty easy way to prevent this is just dont have the cylender pointing toward the sky when you open the gun. just turn the gun side ways when you break it so they fall away from the chambers instead of back into them
oh it's easy enough to solve. and it's fairly contrived to begin with, although I have had it happen to me at the range. I just wanted to point it out as a revolver specific malfunction.
I like the idea of having a platform that's optics capable and sadly that's not a big j frame thing. If S&W still made the model 49 I would buy it instantly
Yeah it's not a great first gun but it's definitely a good one to have in a more developed tool kit. Pocket guns are really handy and revolvers are great pocket guns.
Me too - wood and blued steel are pretty much my thing as far as handguns go. And long guns heh. Call me a Fudd, but my favorite things to shoot are my revolvers, my Garand and my lever guns.
despite all the cool gadgets and modern stuff, I still find myself tossing a .38 in my pocket most of the time I leave the house.
Though I do live in a mostly white, suburban area
In terms of my area, it's pretty similar. Low crime, and while there are sketchy areas, just having any sort of firearm will scare the shit out of any thug just looking for change
Got a old Model 36 I carry, no internal lock. A bit beat up by the previous owner, but it shoots well, has a smooth trigger, and with a Uncle Mike's holster, pockets nicely. It's my first pistol I personally own, and I'm glad I went for it
It's a small gun in general, luckily for me at least the standard grips work fine because my hands are slightly smaller than usual. That nickel coat sounds cool man, probably helps resist rust and wear too.
>Damn that's a beautiful old colt. Straight out of the 20s
Thanks, the serial number dates back to that time period but my Dad bought it in the 80s when he turned 21 >and with wadcutters too
Yeah, i like it and hear they are pretty good for self defense, more accurate and lower recoil >Did you inherit it or just pick it up?
My Dad gave it to me a few months ago
I carry it occasionally, either open or concealed, depending on my mood
Dang man. It's well taken care of to be sure. Wadcutters are a pretty good choice in terms of penetration and accuracy, and easier on that old gun since it isn't +p.
>It's well taken care of to be sure
Really? I thought it looked really really worn, which is sort of an aesthetic on its own. I picked up picrel a few months prior and the difference in bluing is night and day, like my Dads looked like it was thrown in a tumbler lol
It has its charm, trust me as a guy with bluing on his J frame, it wears quickly, it's a wonder this revolver is still around. The grips are intact, very little rust, and if it shoots well it shoots well.

>trust me as a guy with bluing on his J frame, it wears quickly
In order for a DA revolver to go bang something would have to apply 12+lbs of force to the trigger, something would have to apply 12+lbs of force to hold the gun still and nothing could impinge on the cylinder rotating. They're very safe guns. I carried pic related mexican style for many years. No worries.
RIA, Taurus (not the polymer one), Charter Arms. They're all fine for the occasional shooting that that you'd do with snubbies. Now for not much more you can find old SWs and Smiths floating around pawn shops and the like. From ~$600 up the world is your oyster.
This was a decent rec before the 856 hit the market but there's zero reason to buy one in current year when you can get an 856 that's made on modern machines for about the same money as a RIA made with hand files.
I only say that because I saw two NIB for $250 at a pawn shop the other day. The Taurus shoots circles around it and will outlast it but I'll not turn up my nose to that price for a gun you're rarely putting more than a box through a year.

these. go hold them if you can and make up your mind
Anons would a .38 snub be a good place to start looking for a gun for my mom? She's older and has had cancer/surgeries and isn't strong enough to rack a slide. I thought something small and light she could train and take a class with and eventually conceal carry. Any ideas? She said the S&W Airweight felt good when she held it.
It's more her racking the slide than trigger pull. But thanks for the tip i'll keep that in mind.
Airweight/airlite have a lot of recoil, even with 38 spl. Does she need it to be light, or steel will work?
Also try shield ez 380 or glock 42?
No it doesn't have to be light, it's just one of the guns she happened to remember when she and my dad went looking. Steel would be fine. >Also try shield ez 380
She held it, liked it but knowing her she won't be able to unfrick it if something happens on a good day yet alone a high stress situation. I think most simple is the easiest way to go.
For carry or just around the house? If it's for around the house and you think she can handle an auto look at the S&W Shield EZ in .380. If you don't think she can handle an auto look at a 4" medium frame steel revolver. It will be much softer shooting.
She would carry it but mentioned she wants to keep one in the kitchen or living room so if someone breaks in she or my dad doesn’t have to go far to get a gun. No autos for her but I will have her your other recommendation along with the anon who said steel revolvers.
I carry Federal Punch 120 grain +p 38 special in the gun, and remington 158grain fbi load in a speed strip. Wadcutters aren't bad, but I want a hollowpoint tbh
ye
I think snubbies are probably more effective than an autoloader in most civilian involved self defense shootings, but I'll still carry a g17 or at least a 365x if I'm somewhere where there is any possibility of a mass shooter or an actual shootout.
Snubbies for shootings, pistols for shootouts.
on par with taurus, generally hit or miss, but I have had mine (last pic above) for 10+ years, about 5k rounds through it, it's rock solid, lockup is still tight.
With revolvers, generally, they let you know in the first few hundred rounds if there's an issue. Put several boxes through it, and if it's good, it will be good for a long while. If it needs work, well you cheaped out and lost the lottery.
id say the charter arms are fine but if you want to spend and extra 50 bucks the taurus is nice. ive had several revolvers. i would avoid the semi auto Taurus pistols from my experience
Charter isn’t bad, their 38s are fine but I like the trigger on the LCR or Airweight more. The one big plus is that you can get a bulldog in 44spl if you feel like carrying a big bore snubby.
It's your own fault. Model 10 anon couldn't have done any more than he did to get an inexpensive model 10 into every anon's hands. The panic of 2020 cleared out the market and those days will never come again. God bless that homosexual wherever he is.
Buy this it's a pretty fair price for being a snub and in such good shape. My only issue with it is that it's sold AS-IS which goes against my personal code when buying used revolvers online but you may not have worries about that.
Hey if you want to chase a "deal" for an indeterminate amount of time to save $50 or so go right ahead but done come back here crying when prices keep going up while you keep waiting.

Market is not correct with revolvers right now because of new buyers from chinaflu and 38 special being low production runs these days that were not prepared for wild card 2020. It will stabilize back down by 20% at least

No kidding. No signs of stopping. I am starting to think small pistol primers will never get back to regular stock levels.
Thought about getting a cheap snub for range fun and maaaaybe carry. Wanted a RIA M206 but this thread seems consensus'd on Taurus 856. Is it really that good? I don't know if I'm strong enough to tuck away my hateboner for >taurus
J.H. Fitzgerald is one of the biggest reasons mass produced snubnose revolvers are even a thing because they weren't a thing until he started doing his custom chop jobs at Colt. Colt eventually did a "factory" chop job on the Police Positive and called it the Detective Special. S&W said "haha frick you we'll make a snub and call it the Chiefs Special we out rank you homosexual!" and the rest is history.

>S&W Bodyguard 38
If that's yours, how good/bad is it? The only reviews I found are from boomers who say that it jams and the LCR is better.
it's great and also i've never seen any reviews saying it jams.
I looked at multiple forum threads saying that the trigger is easy to short-stroke, and the gun overall feeling like shit.
I wish S&W would make 642s with anodized aluminum instead of that clear coat that peels when you use Hoppes 9 or make a non-Pro 640 without the lock.
Nonrevolvergay here, how does a revolver jam? I thought that was pretty much impossible.
The insides of a revolver are like clockwork.
It's also damn near completely sealed. If you pack the internals in grease water can't even get in to displace it. Revolvers jam due to parts failures or gross neglect. Autos can jam because you held it wrong.
Revolver can fail just because they've been shot too many times and the screws holding it together walked out. Ask me how I know.
>because they've been shot too many times and the screws holding it together walked out.
This falls under neglect anon. If you're not on top of your equipment that's not the equipment's fault.
You can frick up a trigger pull, but that takes some skill. Shitty/hot ammo bulging primers sticking the cylinder. Filling it full of dirt isn't advised. I can only speak for the speed strips I have, single strip Bianchi's, but they're very thin and light and fit just about anywhere.

Snubbie IWB and a full sized semi under the shoulder is peak comfy winter vibes.
if im feeling crazy sometimes ill even throw a derringer in 45 acp in the jacket pocket
I know they are kinda dumb and are impractical but I really want a derringer
the bond roughneck and rowdys are extremely affordable now. they're well built, they just dont get the same finish as their usual line.
bro they're so fricking fun. I got the .410 /.45lc bond arms and it's ridiculous. The muzzle flash alone is worth it
What is the top round for snubs? Is .38 +P really the same as .357 Mag? Is .327 dead?
If you can find spicy it never hurts, it's about the same price as fancy .357 these days which is bullshit. Wadcutters are the base line and they do just fine, what you shoot is whatever makes you feel better.
>.327
Deadder n' hell
On occasion. It's better than nothing as a workout gun and doesn't weigh anything. Usually I'll carry an LCP Max though.

>tape on wood grips
this kills me
no the bullets do that because my grip is so secure I don't miss even when covered in blood.
how often does this happen to you?
avg is once a decade. Things are looking up for the 2020s-2030s to skew the average though.
How do I train this if my range has a no dunking hands in blood rule?
I mean the things that would enforce the rule are full of blood so...
Semen is a close and socially acceptable alternative.
Fricking gross. That grip tape is ridiculous.
Yup
The fact that this guy was let off for effectively """murdering""" a pedo directly in front of cops was a small shimmer that there is some good in this world.

Get with the times old man, you can CC a 3.5" AR-15 pistol
worrying about what people choose to arm themselves with is the gayest boomer shit
99% of the time it's zoomers who don't own guns
>The youngest generation where a majority of them are under 18 don't own guns??
All that brass hoarding has given you lead induced brain damage. Boomers have no grasp of statistics. Young people = bad
1998 was 24 years ago.
Read the comment again that you're replying to
they are niche, not one size fits all Anon.
Roughly 20 mins of searching youtube for videos of autos jamming. I didn't bother with longer format videos about some autloader jam and how to correct it or some guy talking for 15 mins about his broken gun just short-ish videos of autos jamming at the range.

t. luddite boomer trying to justify his anachronistic carry piece
I have carried a gun damn near everyday for 27years. Most of that time has been with an autoloader. There's nothing wrong with autoloaders but there's also nothing wrong with revolvers. Whatever you train with the most and shoot the best is the gun for you. hits count. First hits count most.
>now listen here sonny, two world wars and I know what I got, blah blah mumble mumble they don't make a .358, technology bad old shit good
USMC '78-'78
sent from my tapatalk
this homie just function checked a glock on the entire left half of the range
Do you also keep a binder of exploded polymer pistols?
I then spent roughly the same amount of time looking for revolver "jams".
The vast majority of hits for "revolver jam" was people saying YES REVOLVERS JAM not actual videos of revolvers jamming. This motherfricker is my favorite:
DON'T RELOAD IN THE BUSHES GUYS
here's a wacky jam that is only possible with revolvers:
If you have a top break and don't open it vigorously enough, a cartridge can get wedged under the ejector star. Then you can't close the action, and there's no ejector rod to hit, so your only option is to grab the star with your fingers and pull it out of the way while you shake the cartridge out.
Pretty easy way to prevent this is just dont have the cylender pointing toward the sky when you open the gun. just turn the gun side ways when you break it so they fall away from the chambers instead of back into them
oh it's easy enough to solve. and it's fairly contrived to begin with, although I have had it happen to me at the range. I just wanted to point it out as a revolver specific malfunction.
>tfw you have no top break
Just like using the urinal
I Have the S&W PC 627 Its god tier with 8 rounds and 2.5"
Yes.
I want an S&W 638 but I will probably settle for a shield plus or something 'sensible'
If you can practice enough to have confidence you can make quality hits with a J frame it's sensible.
I like the idea of having a platform that's optics capable and sadly that's not a big j frame thing. If S&W still made the model 49 I would buy it instantly
Yeah it's not a great first gun but it's definitely a good one to have in a more developed tool kit. Pocket guns are really handy and revolvers are great pocket guns.
>model 49
fricking moronic prices lol
https://www.gunbroker.com/Revolvers/search?PageSize=24&Sort=4&View=1&Ch-manufacturerName=Smith%20%26%20Wesson%20%2F%20S%26W&Ch-model=49
I know and I’m not happy about it. Why does no one else want a small revolver that isn’t moronicly light and miserable to shoot
There's plenty of those just not with the humpback. What I want is for S&W to bring back the little I-frame.
Yeah. Model 66 with a 2.75" barrel. Or a Model 640 if I need something in a pocket.
Used to carry a Model 15 2", but it's more a range fun gun now. *
Hey, someone saved my pic. I posted that years ago. Neat.
Yeah man, I have a whole folder of pretty revolver pics. Keeps me sated until I can get a new one.
I'm a sucker for wood on black revolvers
Yeah but would you be a blower for wood and black revolvers?
Me too - wood and blued steel are pretty much my thing as far as handguns go. And long guns heh. Call me a Fudd, but my favorite things to shoot are my revolvers, my Garand and my lever guns.
despite all the cool gadgets and modern stuff, I still find myself tossing a .38 in my pocket most of the time I leave the house.
Though I do live in a mostly white, suburban area
In terms of my area, it's pretty similar. Low crime, and while there are sketchy areas, just having any sort of firearm will scare the shit out of any thug just looking for change
Still just fun. And very easy to get a grip and pull from the pocket.
Did they ever fix the accuracy with those? I've seen videos where you have to be 10ft to hit anything.
its my daily. Ruger LCRX 357
small, light, I shoot it well, and it'll stop a bear or moose which is good for me since I live in the mountains and see both regularly
Is it the 3 inch?
Yes, a S&W 360PD is typically what I carry
For when you have to blow their head off
Big and small
Perfect balance
>5 rounds
KEK.
>teleports behind you
*whispers* i only need one
>blows your head off
tsk. when will these kids learn
Got a old Model 36 I carry, no internal lock. A bit beat up by the previous owner, but it shoots well, has a smooth trigger, and with a Uncle Mike's holster, pockets nicely. It's my first pistol I personally own, and I'm glad I went for it
I've got a nickel one and I bought a pair of service grips for it, but goddamn does that make it small as shit.
It's a small gun in general, luckily for me at least the standard grips work fine because my hands are slightly smaller than usual. That nickel coat sounds cool man, probably helps resist rust and wear too.
https://bkgrips.com/store/
I don't know why it never occurred to me I have a hogue on the 13. Good shit anon, thanks.
youve posted this nasty thing before, have you cleaned it yet
Bernie Goetz did, a Smitty Bodyguard.
Worked like a charm dinnit?
>any of you carry a snubby?
yes
Damn that's a beautiful old colt. Straight out of the 20s, and with wadcutters too. Did you inherit it or just pick it up?
Yes this is just a old picture I have on hand
>Damn that's a beautiful old colt. Straight out of the 20s
Thanks, the serial number dates back to that time period but my Dad bought it in the 80s when he turned 21
>and with wadcutters too
Yeah, i like it and hear they are pretty good for self defense, more accurate and lower recoil
>Did you inherit it or just pick it up?
My 1930 Police Positive is doing okay.
she cute
I want a PPS so bad, but the lack of parts really kills it for me.
I wish to carry a snubby as my personal defense weapon
Worked for this guy, too.
>posting the edit
KEK…love that shit.
It was a STONE groove, mah homie!
how do you guys carry these? Don't these have no safeties? Couldn't it go off in your pocket?
In order for a DA revolver to go bang something would have to apply 12+lbs of force to the trigger, something would have to apply 12+lbs of force to hold the gun still and nothing could impinge on the cylinder rotating. They're very safe guns. I carried pic related mexican style for many years. No worries.
what's the cheapest good double action subby, /k/? GO GO GO
I have two. Great guns.
https://www.thesixgunjournal.net/a-revolver-buyers-checklist/
185 bucks well spent.
RIA, Taurus (not the polymer one), Charter Arms. They're all fine for the occasional shooting that that you'd do with snubbies. Now for not much more you can find old SWs and Smiths floating around pawn shops and the like. From ~$600 up the world is your oyster.
>RIA
This was a decent rec before the 856 hit the market but there's zero reason to buy one in current year when you can get an 856 that's made on modern machines for about the same money as a RIA made with hand files.
I only say that because I saw two NIB for $250 at a pawn shop the other day. The Taurus shoots circles around it and will outlast it but I'll not turn up my nose to that price for a gun you're rarely putting more than a box through a year.
Like i said for just a few bucks more you get a WAY better gun.

compare the state of those internals to pic related which has about 2K rounds through it.
>fitzautist
thanks kind anons
these. go hold them if you can and make up your mind
They're fine, you can even swap out the springs to get a lighter trigger by a pound or two if you think that'll help.
It's more her racking the slide than trigger pull. But thanks for the tip i'll keep that in mind.
Airweight/airlite have a lot of recoil, even with 38 spl. Does she need it to be light, or steel will work?
Also try shield ez 380 or glock 42?
For carry or just around the house? If it's for around the house and you think she can handle an auto look at the S&W Shield EZ in .380. If you don't think she can handle an auto look at a 4" medium frame steel revolver. It will be much softer shooting.
or maybe a 3" 856 Defender.
She would carry it but mentioned she wants to keep one in the kitchen or living room so if someone breaks in she or my dad doesn’t have to go far to get a gun. No autos for her but I will have her your other recommendation along with the anon who said steel revolvers.
Do you think they shaved their vulvas, or are they rocking the "Sasquatch Look"?
I wonder about such things...
Steel razors were being rationed. I suppose they could've used shears and gone for the "home haircut" look.
How sad!
War really IS Hell
Get a charter arms in 32 H&R mag and load it with 32 longs.
Anyone rocking wadcutters in their .38s?
Nah. I just use critical defense +p's
I use hard cast 158gr SWC handloads for CC.
Hst micro 38 specials for me bro. Frick the bullshit.
Snubbies for shootings, pistols for shootouts.
carry a Taurus 85 everyday. it works, its accurate and its small.
How are charter arms revolvers, good enough or go a step more expensive and a bit heavier and get a taurus?
on par with taurus, generally hit or miss, but I have had mine (last pic above) for 10+ years, about 5k rounds through it, it's rock solid, lockup is still tight.
Everything I've heard charter arms works, and you get access to 44 special without needing a big ass 44 magnum
Charter isn’t bad, their 38s are fine but I like the trigger on the LCR or Airweight more. The one big plus is that you can get a bulldog in 44spl if you feel like carrying a big bore snubby.
When im being a lazy b***h yeah. Dont feel good about it though. I also know where im going etc.
Yes
luv me snubby
Ruger LCR 9mm. because pocket carry because i'm a fat pig
snubs hurt my hands so much.had a 38 body guard and it was the worst gun ever. Ill take a sp101 over it any day.
Have you considered not being a little b***h?
Or you can just wear gloves at the range.
picking up one of these from the local pawnshop this week 220 out the door
Just the hammerless version myself a couple of weeks ago.
>try to find a decent S&W K frame
>every wienersucking boomer think a Model 10 is $500 minimum
All those waxed revolvers are going to be crushed or sold for pennies on the dollar.
My only issue with it is that it's sold AS-IS which goes against my personal code when buying used revolvers online but you may not have worries about that.
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/955944940
You misunderstand Anon
I'm looking for a K frame .38, not just a Model 10. There were millions of them made and most end up in a boomer safe.
The market was not cleared out. It's just "muh investment" homosexuals. Plenty of Model 64s on GB for reasonable prices, but forget about locally.
here you go homosexual. several model 64s under $400.
https://www.gunbroker.com/Revolvers/search?PageSize=24&Sort=4&View=1&BuyNowOnly=1&Ch-manufacturerName=Smith%20%26%20Wesson%20%2F%20S%26W&Ch-Caliber=.38%20Spl.&Ch-BarrelLength=4%20inch&Condition=4
learn to read homosexual
>" Plenty of Model 64s on GB for reasonable prices, but forget about locally"
>but forget about locally
Hey if you want to chase a "deal" for an indeterminate amount of time to save $50 or so go right ahead but done come back here crying when prices keep going up while you keep waiting.
>worked at large volume gun shop on weekends for the past 10 years
>been into funs for the past 30 years
>this dumb frick is telling me that the market is correct and not highly inflated at the moment
They will drop in price and sales to shops are still in-line with realistic pricing. Only EX-LNIB K-frames are worth $500. Maybe a $50 premium if it's adjustable sights like a 15 or 67
lol gun counter moron arrogance strikes again. Things are worth what people will pay for them. Simple as.
And none of them are selling.
>shop right outside killbot factory military town
>constantly getting cool shit from widows and divorces in such a infantry town
>have to appraise shit when a real ex-/k/ommando dies
>have bunch of GIs always buying shit
>I have no idea about the market
Seriously have a nice day homosexual. I came close to buying a nice Colt Army Special that came in, but timing was fricked like most vintage Colts. Could direct order a new 10 from Smith with homosexual lock at distributor price. Could get a hand ejector 38 but don't want shit nickel job and6" bbl.
Market is not correct with revolvers right now because of new buyers from chinaflu and 38 special being low production runs these days that were not prepared for wild card 2020. It will stabilize back down by 20% at least
>worst are the boomers that bought the new Pythons and get butthurt they aren't getting a premium like a vintage royal blue Python
>SON THIS IS A PYTHON! You are lowballing me
>Sir, we have the exact model new for $1500 and yours has...
>Give me back my gun
>2 days later
>comes in all meek
>yeah, I'll take $1200 for it like you offered
old fart probably was offered $500 from the vulture pawn shops in the area.
>Market is not correct with revolvers right now because of new buyers from chinaflu and 38 special being low production runs these days
No kidding. I've been wanting an SP101 for a while but bullshit kept cropping up and eating my money and now that I'm making more money than I ever have before SP101s are priced at more than I'm willing to pay. Also I haven't seen .38spc in person for months and when I see it online it's more expensive than .380ACP. Shit's fricked right now.
>Shit's been fricked for two years
No signs of stopping. I am starting to think small pistol primers will never get back to regular stock levels.
I KNOW WHAT I GOT!
You wanna buy mine? It's in .357, selling it for $500 but I'd be willing to trade for an LCR in the same caliber.
yes
55977096
It's not there for aesthetics.
Thought about getting a cheap snub for range fun and maaaaybe carry. Wanted a RIA M206 but this thread seems consensus'd on Taurus 856. Is it really that good? I don't know if I'm strong enough to tuck away my hateboner for >taurus
Go handle/inspect one and I bet you buy it over the RIA.

What happen to the trigger guard
cool it with the antisemitism pal
Fricking nazi. Go leave seriously.
