IDK why people even care about ants... They clean the crumbs up, lick all the dripped maple syrup that drizzled down the next and then see no more food and go explore elsewhere.

I have literally close to a million ants in my garden and zero inside the house
whatever dumbass. the ants come out like clockwork in july here. first they send exploratory individuals. then they send raiding parties. as we get closed to september, they are in a mad frenzied rush to gather whatever it is they need for winter. then, they are gone without a trace. it doesn't matter how clean your house is. if there is no catfood or crumbs around, they will simply go for water in the sink.

This guy is 100% correct. You have ants because they have found some easy to reach food source in your house. Clean your shit up, vacuum the crumbs out of your couch, take your garbage out, etc.

If you want to see some really funny shit, make a batch of weed brownies and intentionally scatter a few crumbs around for the ants to eat. It'll break their link to the hive mind and make them all confused as they struggle to exist as individuals. Some may even start dry humping the crumbs. This happened at my place after a party. Noticed some ants had come inside and were acting a bit weird, then I noticed what they were eating.
I defeated a colony of ants about a month ago. I just siliconed all the cracks up real good.
The best way to get rid of ants is establishing another ant colony that preys on the ones you have. It like trying to extinguish a wildfire with another fire
