From what I heard the trenches near the road are a brutal vatnik meat grinder.
It's a triple trench system and the Russians have taken part of one of them but get farmed by the rest.
They send Wagner/mobiks to crawl along and assault. But they just get blasted by rotating drones dropping one load after the other. Once all are wounded the ukis clean them up with a squad. The trench got shot to shit and is just mostly a ditch by now.
they are literally the lowest vodka caste, aren't those the buy-it-yourself soliders because the rest of the russian army wants to stay put and refuses to participate?
They've taken multiple layers at various times in the past few days but have been beaten back several times. That said with the threat they pose to Khromove I think it is now inevitable that Ukraine will withdraw from Bakhmut before a counterattack can rescue the positions. If weather was more cooperative it might have ended differently, but at least locally the weather is on Russia's side this year.
Of course in the grand scheme the warm winter kind of fricked up their whole economic blackmail plan and their economy is utterly fricked with very little to show for it other than hoping and coping that next winter will be colder. Meanwhile they will be completely out of their accessible currency reserves before 2024.
>Weather good for EU, bad for Ukraine
I've heard similar analysis. I wonder that's what the Ukrainians are waiting for, a favorable change in weather. >Meanwhile they will be completely out of their accessible currency reserves before 2024.
We can only hope.

Sorry newbie here. How was this overhead footage captured? Is there just a tower near this trench with a really nice camera on it? Or were drones used?
I’m wondering if Bakhmut is going to be Ukraine’s Gettysburg in the future…big National Park and all kinds of restaurants and schlock emporiums where you will be able to buy cheap t-shirts and rubber AKs and shoddy drones with plastic grenades to drop on your little friends?
And they’ll have busloads of future geezer Ukie veterans pull up to tell war stories and eat at shitty buffets and relive their PTSD and shit.
Maybe I could open a Bakhmut Battlefield Waterpark for the kids.
I think Ukraine really NEEDS a giant waterpark.
Get some convicts on work-release to dress up as Wally Wagnerite and Mischa Mobnik and shit…
Just realized it's a based Russian strategy >realize you're losing the war >retreat while lobbing decades old artillery shells >the fuses are wonky so even when you finally get pushed out, you at least made the enemy land uninhabitable with all the unexploded shells
GENIUS
Give it two decades of EU gibs and you'll see it: a gaint waterpark, the slides looking like trenches, deactivated mg42s that kids can use to spray water on each other... Outside there are souvenir shops the tourists can visit after doing the guided "Battle of Bakmut" bus-tour. (You can even buy real bullets from the battle there)
Its gonna be the most sanitised, corporate tourist trap shit and it will be fricking great. So great they will even thank us for it.
>i heckin love watching young men die! it's so cool!

Typical vatnik projection.
Of all pidorashka talking points blaming Zelensky is the dumbest one since his goverment in many way sabotaged the preparation for defences trying to not provoke Russia.
>Zelensky, the man elected on a pro peace with Russia platform, is assassinated >He is replaced with someone who has never wanted peace with Russia
Bravo you really helped shorten the war moron
We've seen those used before, infact I think we saw a Azov soldier using one in a video last month. We've also seen GP series underbarrel launchers in use by both sides. In the famous trench assault video the ukrainian soldier uses it to fire grenades indirectly.
Only the Azov headquarters troops were in Mariupol, the rest were in other parts of Ukraine and survived. Then they got expanded to a brigade-sized unit and do what you see in the OP video.
>Uke’s using blue arm bands >Russians using red arm bands
It’s almost like they know which side of good and evil they’re on, this timeline is too fricking on the nose
why is this so hard to comprehend?
vatnik flag is red white blue
ukie flag yellow and blue
it makes sense for neither side to use blue as it could be both sides, but ukies use it anyway
yellow makes sense
red makes sense
white make sorta sense, but its a terrible color war
green, no fricking clue

Since the cold war era, the West uses blue and the Soviets use red, it is what it is.
watch for 2 seconds more, you see a drone view of that same grenade, it lands in the midst of 5 people, 4 of them run away and the pieces flying away belong to the one that didnt run away
No. It was the trooped infront of the camera who threw his grenade to him (better angle), who then tossed in to the mobik's lap. You can see the trooper with blue stripes.
The published stats of that tiny bastard are insane. You need some special black magic to achieve that, not some OTS chinesium. A tiny whoop on a 1S is bigger, lasts a couple of minutes at most, and the transmitter can hardly handle a couple concrete walls. That's what three orders of magnitude in cost give you.
as for exploring caves, tunnels, or buildings. Just send in a tiny scout drone to locate enemies, and then just toss a couple of grenades.
The future of warfare will be drones doing recon and bombardment. Infantry will be relegated to cleanup duty.
I find it hard to believe that there isn't a cost-effective or near-cost-effective anti-drone weapon against these drones, otherwise we'd much more drone swarm tactics in Ukraine.
true, but i just wanted to point out that when russia tries to jam ukrainian drones russian artillery is becoming blind. Americans can jam stuff without losing awareness.
Vatnik milibloggers used to complain about it a lot.
Drones in this war are shot down all the time, you can take them down just by shooting them with machine guns, rifles, rockets, missiles etc its that there's a lot of them and they're replaced quickly.
Russia would if it could, but everyone smart enough to make that kind of drone bailed their country years ago to places that would give them real money
Hence, the half-assed solution of using prisoners
At the end of the day that ground isn't really yours until you have a man with a gun plant a flag on it
As a result, the PBI will always be necessary in war
Russia is an Africa-tier military. Corrupt, unmaintained equipment, throwing untrained soldiers into attacks as meat, lack of basic supplies like food and clothing, living like animals in filthy conditions, garbage everywhere they sleep even a moment, no proper equipment, mercenaries doing all the difficult work, stealing everything not nailed down, war crimes, moronic commanders, etc..

Every recent video of someone dying in this war is in a trench, they should stay out of them.

BRILLIANT!
Black person you missed the point
No he didnt
video isnt playing right
Seems like a problem on your end
No idiot some dipshit uploaded it as an audio file.
The problem is hohol ineptitude in uploading corrupt files.
yeah, don't know why. anyway, here is the tg link: https://t.me/ab3army/2450
It works if I dl it and play it in MPC, probably a codec issue.
same problem i just streamed it through vlc
it only loaded audio for me on firefox but it worked on chrome
Crazy that we get to just watch an actual war like this
crazy that no one is trying to stop it. they want it.
That is some grim terrain. Good thing it looks dry.
it looks like its been pounded by artillery non stop for 9 months, then someone dug some trenches in the mud/body part bog
>Start of as a 300
>End up as a 200
Does it count as leveling up or down?
It's points anon, 300 pts to take a vatnik out of action, and 200 extra if you take him out the world.

I dont think thats gonna happen. Lots of countries have been cutting direct currency deals with Russia.
At the end of the day China will make sure Russia can stay in because it keeps the west occupied.
>and is just mostly a ditch by now.

the ring is still in place, it's his buddy borrowing the cameraman his 'nade
It seems like his buddy passed him a grenade that he then threw next.

He's from Kharkiv or something iirc.

Drones.
This shit is brutal
Even for invading orcs
russian lives are worth nothing really, jesus christ
I'm tired of the shitposting, but the amount of kino from this war is unparalleled.

Ammunition.

Aren't they convicts? Probably better off risking their lives but it still begs the question why don't they just surrender to Ukraine and seek asylum.
is it just me, or catbox doesn't work like they used too
the video is shit
wow hahah this is fricking awesome like a game
I wonder how many Russians the West has to kill before Russians kill Putin
I cant comprehend why someone hasn't fragged zelenskyy. israelite homosexual coke-addled dickweed prolonging this war.
What guns would he use?
>Zelensky, the man elected on a pro peace with Russia platform, is assassinated

Bravo you really helped shorten the war moron
Genuine question, why don't we see these or underslung grenades used.
I'm surprised they haven't started fielding some kind of airburst launchers or these
We've seen those used before, infact I think we saw a Azov soldier using one in a video last month. We've also seen GP series underbarrel launchers in use by both sides. In the famous trench assault video the ukrainian soldier uses it to fire grenades indirectly.
ive seen underslung GLs tough admittedly they have not been common
They are in use, but clearly not enough.
In some recent video 93d brigade in Bakhmut particularly praised them, they very usefull, gib more.
aren't those things very expensive and rare?
These guys are Azov, right?
Azov fall in Mariupol
There is no Azov anymore
But some people in 3rd brigade were related to Azov
>Azov fell in Mariupol
Literally the opposite of the truth anon.
Why lie.
How do we tell him?
Tell what?
I wouldn't worry about it
>Azov fell in Mariupol
and got back up after being released by the denazifiers themselves lol
Only the Azov headquarters troops were in Mariupol, the rest were in other parts of Ukraine and survived. Then they got expanded to a brigade-sized unit and do what you see in the OP video.
What’s picrel then?
3rd brigade was build around Special Operations Forces unit made of Azov veterans who already left military when Russians went to war
>Uke’s using blue arm bands
>Russians using red arm bands
It’s almost like they know which side of good and evil they’re on, this timeline is too fricking on the nose
why is this so hard to comprehend?
vatnik flag is red white blue
ukie flag yellow and blue
it makes sense for neither side to use blue as it could be both sides, but ukies use it anyway
yellow makes sense
red makes sense
white make sorta sense, but its a terrible color war
green, no fricking clue
Green was just so they had a colour that fit a bit more into the landscape, and to throw off infiltrators.
>white make sorta sense, but its a terrible color war
The Russkies will eventually have to use alot of white...on flags....so they can surrender.
Since the cold war era, the West uses blue and the Soviets use red, it is what it is.
Thanks for 10$
I got it
Keep being real, anon.
Bleak in every way
What a hellscape.
Is that bits of Ork flying through the air?
holy fricking shit
more likely
i see some part of IIFS
That's definitely bits of load-bearing gear.
watch for 2 seconds more, you see a drone view of that same grenade, it lands in the midst of 5 people, 4 of them run away and the pieces flying away belong to the one that didnt run away
There will be full version of this video on Youtube.
This is just teaser.
jijijija
Am I seeing this right or some untrained mobik moron threw a still pinned grenade which was then promptly picked up and used againt said mobik?
first of all its M67 grenade
second - its just temmate give this grenade
It's an M67 frag. Not used by Russians. Most likely his buddy chucked it over to him.
whats it like having a sub 80iq ?
He wouldn't be a hoholshill without it.
>captura de tela
>Hispanic language
>is a moron
yep checks out
No. It was the trooped infront of the camera who threw his grenade to him (better angle), who then tossed in to the mobik's lap. You can see the trooper with blue stripes.
GRENADA!
what's the point of having infantry if they're so fricking helpless against small drones carrying grenades or kamikaze drones?
Might as well deploy small drones to do the work of infantry.
Drones cant defend trenches and storm
as for exploring caves, tunnels, or buildings. Just send in a tiny scout drone to locate enemies, and then just toss a couple of grenades.
The future of warfare will be drones doing recon and bombardment. Infantry will be relegated to cleanup duty.
of course the DoD would spend millions on R&D and $100k a pop for that micro drone. meanwhile you can buy a DJI Mini off the shelf for $1k
I find it hard to believe that there isn't a cost-effective or near-cost-effective anti-drone weapon against these drones, otherwise we'd much more drone swarm tactics in Ukraine.
America stopped ISIS using drones with standard truck-mounted jammers.
Russia has GPS jamming but they don't seem to do any EW beyond that.
Problem with EW for russia is that drones are crucial for their recon as well.
These days a lot of Puccian EW systems have been biting the dust in the shaping operations.
true, but i just wanted to point out that when russia tries to jam ukrainian drones russian artillery is becoming blind.
Russia has more mobiks than the West has ammo
even that doesn't make any sense, a drone carrying grenades or mortars is still much cheaper than a russian conscript.
Pretty sure that they consider russian conscriptd as free.
The equipment that they get loaned to is worth more than themselves
Pretty sure there are something like eleventy billion bullets in America alone.
Now there's an idea, ammo buybacks.
Terrible idea.
You know I'd call that bullshit if it weren't for the constant, years long ammo shortage that everyone on this site is always complaining about
Russia would if it could, but everyone smart enough to make that kind of drone bailed their country years ago to places that would give them real money
Hence, the half-assed solution of using prisoners
At the end of the day that ground isn't really yours until you have a man with a gun plant a flag on it
As a result, the PBI will always be necessary in war
goddamn I love ASOV
Russia is an Africa-tier military. Corrupt, unmaintained equipment, throwing untrained soldiers into attacks as meat, lack of basic supplies like food and clothing, living like animals in filthy conditions, garbage everywhere they sleep even a moment, no proper equipment, mercenaries doing all the difficult work, stealing everything not nailed down, war crimes, moronic commanders, etc..
Just pathetic.
excellent KINO.
im wondering how high the recon drone was - it looks different than your typical HD dji footage
it looks like another planet altogether
Fricking hell the war footage propaganda videos have come a long way since the beginning of the war. Imagine what sort of clips we'll be watching in another year's time.
?
russia will win in just 2 more weeks
God damn, a WW1 tier trench raid with drones and modern fragmentation grenades. Terrifying. Doesn't look like much of a trench system though. Does anyone know if it's Ukranian or Russian? Dug to fall back from and then retake like this or just hastily erected?
Can someone geolocate it more precisely on the map?
Why do they keep changing their markings? Sometimes the tape is blue, sometimes it's green. Why not just make it one color?
I think they swap between green/blue/yellow armbands on a semi-frequent basis to make it trickier for Russian infiltrators to figure what color tape they'd need for trying sneaky shit. Without prior up to date intel, guessing the correct color is bassically Russian Roulette with only two chambers empty.

Nice, generally what are the Ukrainians saying though since I don't speak slav
rumors on telegram are saying the uke's are launching lots of arty at the left bank of the river in kherson, like significantly more than normal.
>Gore and mud
When it zooms out to show what that man is fighting over, that's about it.
