Lol. Pretty sure a missile of an upgraded launcher is still cheaper as a downed SU 34 with its pilots.
moronic question. It downs ziggers and that is the point of the system.
elections are coming and airforce was ordered to take more aggressive stance to aid in ongoing ground operation?
people die in a war, materiel gets destroyed - less careful you are more losses you will take.
I hope they wont go overboard. Otherwise we wont get Air Force show on 9th of May this year neither. Last year was already miserable. If they didn't get their logistic in order it will be even worse this year.
At the rate things are going, this might unironically happen during this year's military "parade"
One jet will fly past just like we had one tank last year
The Russians. They're desperately trying to force peace talks before the Raspubreastsya dries. That means meat tsunamis and overaggressive air sorties. They're making attempts to soften up targets for the waves. I imagine the losses are actually pretty rough for the Ukies, but at least they're being allowed to retreat.
With them retreating, the ground forces are probably giving their air assets bad information based on overconfidence, they're overextending their jets, and they're getting pasted because the AA doesn't need to retreat as quickly as the infantry/armor.
Plus, with it being their territory, the places they're retreating to are better fortified.
Honestly, there's been less Honest Abe spam than I was expecting there to be. Probably because it doesn't actually look so much as destroyed as it does inconvenienced.
I mean the fact people are surprised by tanks being destroyed still confuses me. The reason people laugh at Russia is not because their tanks blow up but the sheer amount that have. Nobody claimed Abrams, Challenger, Leopards were invincible. It's just a weird thing.
It's because of the destroyed Abraham Lincoln tank and Sweden becoming NATO
There's also Macron explicitly not ruling out sending Western troops to Ukraine during the recent EU summit.
Probably won't happen, but a man can dream.
And those troops wont even have to be serving on frontline. More likely they would be maintenance and logistical crews for Western equipment so Ukies can focus to killing.
they're making more attacks at closer range with planes the size of B-17s to try and press the air advantage, and it's costing them quite a bit of equipment
if you are so concerned for the lives of ordinary Ukrainians, perhaps you should petition monke to stop the war he started?
but you're not, of course, because you're brown.
Russians keep denying losses as long as there's no video. Also they don't explain why other flight missions get canceled after not losing any aircrafts
Yes. The supposed superpower is, in fact, not winning fast enough against a minor neighbor
We have been laughing about that fact for 2 years now. Where have you been?
Taking 2 years to take a single small town is indeed quite embarrassing. Nobody believed that Ukraine would hold longer then a few months at the beginning and now here we are 2 years later and they are still in the fight, with Russia not even having come near any major population center besides Mariupol which was quite literally on their border.
Yes, a tiny village every 6 months is neither winning nor fast enough.
The rate of progress the past half a year has been less than a kilometer a month.
I understand you probably don't go outside a whole lot, instead arguing with strawmen in your head, but please pull up a map and walk 800 meters.
That's the glorious ruzzian progress worth a month of horrendous casualties
I mean given that they already held Dontesk and Crimea before the start of the current war, they've lost almost as much land as they've taken since the war began.
Russia is advancing slower than their destroyed equipment is being replaced so it won't achieve operational gains before running out.
Winning too slowly absolutely is a thing

>Freezing the war is what Ukraine needs rather sooner than later because it can't sustain the war effort anymore
Ukraine can support a defensive effort for way longer than it needs to.
No way in hell should Ukraine accept a freezing of the conflict before US elections lmao, it would only benefit Russia.
God damn, this can't just be the Russians getting reckless with their planes, those guys would have pulled back after eating shit left and right. The Ukrainians must have gotten something or gotten way ballsier with their AD systems.
>God damn, this can't just be the Russians getting reckless with their planes, those guys would have pulled back after eating shit left and right.

at current depletion rates (corroborated by satellite imagery), russian storage sites will hit zero before 2025
russia has been losing a plane per day recently (and two AWACS since the year started, lmao), due to using them as a poor man's precision artillery (guess why they do that)
their oil output is down a third, due to drone strikes that are only intensifying
extraction infrastructure is unmaintained and running on fumes - once it starts breaking down en masse most of their revenue is gone
meanwhile Ukraine is scheduled to get more AA, EU shell production is growing steadily, F16s are on their way

Russians have a video destroying one with a shitty drone. Which means it was really close to the front. With radar track it has a range of 120km. Conversely MIM-104 Patriot has a range of 160km.
If I were Ukrainian I would not risk my far more capable, and harder to replace, Patriots for an extra 40km. Using NASAMS to intercept is far more logical.
>40%
At what point do they declare someone as having survived? >Pilot surviving the initial impact >Pilot surviving ejection >Pilot landed on the ground and successfully recovered
How many dudes died during the ejection descent or were killed on the ground and contributed to the "AA shootdown" kill count?
Any survivability data from soviet aircraft?
Would it be reasonable to assume that factors like pilot training and quality of ejection systems could significantly skew the numbers?
Lol no, soviet bloc wasn't too keen on sharing statistics openly. I expect the soviet numbers to be a bit lower, their ejection seat technology was worse until the 80s. There is not much pilot training to do, most important thing is making the ejection decision early and within the seat envelope, then SERE techniques but that's outside the scope of the quoted statistics
There's plenty of footage of Russians successfully ejecting and being recovered, so I guess their ejection seats do work. So unless they're directly hit by whatever caused their plane to crash, there's a good chance they'll survive.
Note that ejecting out of a high-speed aircraft isn't exactly safe either, and the forces from the ejection seat firing and what happens afterwards can still easily cause career-ending back injuries.
need the webm of the russian civ seeing a downed pilot being dragged along the road by his parachute and instead of pulling over to help him, carries on driving like nothing happened
>f16s teleport from romania >nothin personnel kid

How can you tell where a specific poster comes from? I dont see flags anything indicating the origin of the post. Do you use some sort of extension to see IPs or countries?
The easiest way to sus out the origin of ESL posters is through grammars and choice of words. For example, Indians use a lot of archaic words while Russians often lack articles and tend to be more flowery.
>Have Russian coworker who has decent English skills >Whenever my friend and I want to talk without him understanding use Creole because dude Louisiana lmao

>In Russian hands.
In two months Russia lost more tanks and IFV's taking Avdeevka than Ukraine has received from the West. Russian armored losses, on that one axis, in two months, equates to about 60% of their (self-reported) production in 2023.
>What is going on?
It's called a war anon, why are people so surprised when shit gets blown up and shot down during a war? Just because the USA hasn't really experienced aircraft losses in number since Vietnam doesn't mean every other country is that good.
>Killing one American tank is a victory worth shouting from the rooftops >Losing dozens of Russian tanks is just another day
It's understandable, really. American weapons are just that much better.
>If a Soviet shitbox going into orbit was worth getting re-posted here for years
If 10-12 of soviet shitboxes going into orbit every fricking day are worth a shitpost everytime it happens over the course of 2 years... >FTFY
I feel bad for vatniks. They got a taste of the kino we've been getting for the past two years and it turned them absolutely rabid. It wasn't even a turret toss video or a catastrophic explosion, just one drone image of an abrams with its blowout panel doing its job.
>If a Soviet shitbox going into orbit was worth getting re-posted here for literally years >a Soviet shitbox going into orbit >a Soviet shitbox >a
That's the thing, though. It's not A Soviet shitbox. It's LITERALLY THOUSANDS of Soviet shitboxes.
it's been said here a couple of times before:
western tech is elven magic compared to rusty soviet trash so it's appropriate to celebrate like there no tomorrow every time a western tank gets destroyed, just as it's expected to gloss over dozens and hundreds or russian tanks that are getting destroyed every week
Russian are pushing their luck with the glide bombs.
As they move forward they got closer to Ukrainian SAMs and they pay the price.
In avdiivka they were just far enough to drop glide bombs from Max range with impunity as no patriot was located within the avdiivka salient (too exposed location and in lancets range) so they had some notable success from the time Ukraine ran out of s300 missiles and had to rely on the patriot (which is great but limited in range) to the fall of avdiivka. Now they are in range again if they aren't extremely careful.
The Ukrainians still have S200 which is a massive missile with great range but that missile is very old and would struggle to hit the planes used to drop glide bombs (but still good enough for a big slow target like the A50 apparently)
>Biden warns Putin that if he murders Navalny in jail there would be severe consequences >Navalny dies >russian jets start dropping like flies
coincidence?
Or, possibly, Ukie AD has been degraded enough to begin aggressive ground support ops in combination with the apparent supply of glide-bomb kits. Ukies are probably frantic with trying to fight back ie using AD ambush tactics enabled by NATO telemetry, but lack of interceptors is likely hampering these efforts a lot ie they’ll only release on a strong possibility of kill on a high-value target so the troops on the ground have no choice but to get plastered with FABs. The NVA faced the same dilemma as Linebacker used up all their interceptors forcing them to converse shots resulting in the USAF having mostly free-reign — even though the NVA could still shoot down stuff they couldn’t stem the tide.
So…what? The VKS is doing suicide ops? Is it some weird Slavic magic ritual? The huge amount of glide-bomb attacks are widely reported and a major part of why Avdiivka fell and other areas of the front are being pushed back. Last year I read that Russia was running like 200 sorties a day iirc, how many are running now, and does a half-dozen shoot-downs impact that to a major degree? I know you’re just here to jerk off to social feedback so just post your meme and we’ll move on.
>Is it some weird Slavic magic ritual?
Pretty sure it's some kind of F-16/First world magic. >I know you’re just here to jerk off to social feedback so just post your meme and we’ll move on.
Yeah. But you are here for a few rupees. Let us just enjoy each other.
Unfortunately the collective west has put less than 1% to supporting Ukraine.
I do agree we should have gone 100% and glassed russia 2 years ago to give them a quick and merciful death. They don't deserve their suffering.
This is too consistent to be that. They're flying similar missions every day and getting rekt.
The question is how long it will take russia to figure out this is not sustainable and stop flying suicide missions. Or at least make a basic cost/benefit analysis and figure out this isn't helping them.
they cant stop, monke wants results. now. even without AWACS or SIGINT planes. In Donetsk area they drop close too 200 KABs a day for past 11-12 days. But they are probably saving their attack heli fleet for countering Ukraine's next offensive.
I wouldnt worry about it

Russians have a video destroying one with a shitty drone. Which means it was really close to the front. With radar track it has a range of 120km. Conversely MIM-104 Patriot has a range of 160km.
If I were Ukrainian I would not risk my far more capable, and harder to replace, Patriots for an extra 40km. Using NASAMS to intercept is far more logical.
>Russians have a video destroying one with a shitty drone.
Post it
Its going to be posted here eventually.
It has another jump cut, they didn't hit anything
It was wooden model with kerosine and spinning engine for imitation. Clever Urk!
Not how you didn't post it
that launcher was was 50km from the frontline, it has to be something else, maybe patriot with longer distance remote launch capability?
Oh no ziggers, it can't be!

>Proof of 1400 shootdown in picrel
What even is that?
looks like it
What is the general survival rate for the pilots of a plane getting shot down by AA?
in vietnam it was about 40%, nowadays it probably improved a bit since the missiles have gotten more accurate and the warheads smaller
>40%
At what point do they declare someone as having survived?
>Pilot surviving the initial impact
>Pilot surviving ejection
>Pilot landed on the ground and successfully recovered
How many dudes died during the ejection descent or were killed on the ground and contributed to the "AA shootdown" kill count?
in the context of this RAND report, 40% were able to survive the shootdown, ejection and landing
>in vietnam it was about 40%
For american pilots?
yes, see pic above
Any survivability data from soviet aircraft?
Would it be reasonable to assume that factors like pilot training and quality of ejection systems could significantly skew the numbers?
Lol no, soviet bloc wasn't too keen on sharing statistics openly. I expect the soviet numbers to be a bit lower, their ejection seat technology was worse until the 80s. There is not much pilot training to do, most important thing is making the ejection decision early and within the seat envelope, then SERE techniques but that's outside the scope of the quoted statistics
i was going to say, how many new pilots does russia have to handle these losses?
they're wearing out their airframes, and they can't dodge missiles properly anymore
src: my ass
Su-34 just flew over my hous!
And into the ground!
>into the ground
If you are lucky.
Over?
those fricking perfidious albions and their boris johnsons are responsible for this treachery, they're doing fricking donuts near crimea
You do know how many jets Russia has, right? Right?
Doesn't matter how many they have if the pilots all get killed, you idiot.
Su-34 going up actually
>western trick
Russia has lied constantly and transparently for the last two years. Try again shillbot.
Are the pilots generally ejecting and surviving or do they usually die with the jet?
They expect one of the pilots in the wreckage, brother. Thats why its a two-seater
Dont look up how long it takes to train competent pilots.
I did see a sucessful ejection that one time a guy ghost rode an su35 into a commiebloc in belgograd
Wasn't that actually a training accident of some sort?
>We didn't need the pilots anyway
Like clockwork. lmao
>f16s teleport from romania
>nothin personnel kid
Gotta say, after losing a flagship to a country with no navy, its almost as sad losing your airforce to a country without one, vatnig
https://twitter.com/small10space/status/1762490540375843178
Doesn't look like Russian aviation fears anything over Bakhmut. Target rich environment tho.
>doesn't have an airforce, lol
so a country without an airforce shot down 10 russian planes in 10 days? damn thats gotta be embarassing for russia
seething serb detected
How can you tell where a specific poster comes from? I dont see flags anything indicating the origin of the post. Do you use some sort of extension to see IPs or countries?
I'm mostly guessing, but yugoslav English has a specific feel to it, and serbs are known russian cumguzzlers.
The easiest way to sus out the origin of ESL posters is through grammars and choice of words. For example, Indians use a lot of archaic words while Russians often lack articles and tend to be more flowery.
>Have Russian coworker who has decent English skills
>Whenever my friend and I want to talk without him understanding use Creole because dude Louisiana lmao
It's amusing
>flowery
What? Like ass-flowers or something?
basically
>overly ornate prose text that may disrupt a narrative flow by drawing undesirable attention to its own extravagant style of writing
so yeah there's an asspoet in every russkie just waiting for an opportunity to bloom
kinda sad they eventually managed to overrun avdiivka.

Where is Kiev? Where is Kharkov? Where is "Forever Russian" Kherson?
>Russia has plenty of pilots
They don't. They have more airframes than they have combat ready pilots and that's been the case for this entire war.
>Where is Bakhmut? Where is Avdeevka?
In Donbabwe, an oblast that russia still has not conquered after 9 years of combat.
>In Russian hands.
In two months Russia lost more tanks and IFV's taking Avdeevka than Ukraine has received from the West. Russian armored losses, on that one axis, in two months, equates to about 60% of their (self-reported) production in 2023.
And we have a lot of seething Black folk in this thread. That's almost enough confirmation for me.

all those drone strikes really did a number on ziggernomics huh?
What resources are they banning for export exactly?
Petroleum? Lng?
>What resources are they banning for export exactly?
Gasoline (aka benzine)
>He doesn't know
Either a vatnik or a tourist to have missed that particular piece of recent silliness from this war.
>What is going on?
It's called a war anon, why are people so surprised when shit gets blown up and shot down during a war? Just because the USA hasn't really experienced aircraft losses in number since Vietnam doesn't mean every other country is that good.
The question is probably more about the sudden uptick of burning ziggers in the sky.
Russia is attempting an offensive, that means more bombers closer to the front
Also, Ukraine has received more anti-air
Dont worry cum/chug/ger, im sure mighty bear can build more su34s, probably with all the gas exports money over the next 6 months :^)
>How mmany did The Ukraine build?
They're not the one's losing planes daily moron.
1 russian plane = 1 thread
>Does this really need it's own thread?
1 US tank = 100 threads
>Fricking Jannies are censoring us!
>Killing one American tank is a victory worth shouting from the rooftops
>Losing dozens of Russian tanks is just another day
It's understandable, really. American weapons are just that much better.
If a Soviet shitbox going into orbit was worth getting re-posted here for literally years than imagine how much spam a good M1 is worth.
>If a Soviet shitbox going into orbit was worth getting re-posted here for literally years
>a Soviet shitbox going into orbit
>a Soviet shitbox
>a
That's the thing, though. It's not A Soviet shitbox. It's LITERALLY THOUSANDS of Soviet shitboxes.
it's been said here a couple of times before:
western tech is elven magic compared to rusty soviet trash so it's appropriate to celebrate like there no tomorrow every time a western tank gets destroyed, just as it's expected to gloss over dozens and hundreds or russian tanks that are getting destroyed every week
>everytime
>tons of (Dead) quotes
lmao, I love this
Russian are pushing their luck with the glide bombs.
>Biden warns Putin that if he murders Navalny in jail there would be severe consequences
>Navalny dies
>russian jets start dropping like flies
coincidence?
I always liked that one post here about how Biden and Zelenskyy are teaming up to form Tengan Toppa Gurren Reagan.
>Tengen Toppen Gurren Reagan
Please drawgays, I beg you, make this happen
Believe in the NATO that believes in you!
2000 what? Flight worthy planes plus pilots? You can't be this delusional. Or can you?
we make more dumb hohol, we don't need those jets they are obsolete and new ones will be made COPE post adeevka
You are trying too hard. But nice try.
>we don't NEED not to lose planes on a daily basis
I've missed these posts
>informationю

lmao, we have live vatnik specimen here
(hint: check where ю is on a russian keyboard)
Russia has to use it's air force in more dangerous roles because their artillery force is so degraded it can no longer provide sufficient fires.
>Russian air losses kick up like cracy.
>"Ukie AD has been degraded enough" is my cope of choice.
LMAO
You can't be serious.
>The VKS is doing suicide ops?
Maybe? Those have been popular with russian aviation recently. Arrange a seance to ask VDV for more details.
The frick is going on.
Why don't they just stay put
They flying around with their transponders on or some shit?
SU 34 just flew into my house!
Cope.
>mighty Russian war machine ground to a halt by a border nation being given nato mothball specials
Unfortunately the collective west has put less than 1% to supporting Ukraine.
I do agree we should have gone 100% and glassed russia 2 years ago to give them a quick and merciful death. They don't deserve their suffering.
I'm starting to wonder how many are just falling apart from overuse and under maintenance.
Mm. Ukraine needs a weapon to swiftly turn alligator from endagered to extinct before going for a new offensive.
yea their flying identical sorties and getting hit for it, same goes for those AWACs that got downed. Their too predictable.
none can best him in his role, every other fighter bomber btfo
