the m4e1 lower has always been the go-to economy lower. it was only /arg/ that decided it wasn't cool anymore and the covid vax scandal was all they needed to rationalize it.
its a perfectly good lower with no real downsides for its price point.

Nobody would choose to fuck with roll pins if they don't have to. And it can take 90° safeties. And as far as anti-rotation pins... What the hell are you talking about?

I have two. They are as good as a lower needs to be, unless you want an ambi bolt catch and release. I dremeled one of mine for a PDQ. Just don't get one with their standard logos. It looks like a dude pooping, and once that was pointed out I can never get over it.

It's very flawed. Front takedown pin hole is unreinforced. Mine broke there. Safety is very sludgy. I needed to put grip tape on the grip and the stock because my hands and face kept slipping when sweaty. The magwell is nice, mine came with a PDQ slot, and it's easy to put together for newbs. If you buy one, don't expect it to last if you actually use it. Also worth noting that it is only 7 oz lighter than my traditional complete lower with an A5 buffer and B5 stock.
ADM and LWRC have the best ambi bolt catch/release imo, which aside from full auto pockets, and manufacturing tolerances is all that you can't improve yourself.

those are called "KP-15 WWSD DIY" on the website (oh they have one in OD Green now, hmmmmm) and anything with the WWSD branding on it gives license royalties to Ian and Karl

Pws is a bit better than lwrc and lmt due to the fact it can work with nonstandard uppers due to a more horizontal ambi paddle.

I've got one, kinda fugley but it's comfy and does the job. Echo three nine does a stock cut that I wouldn't mind having.
I've got two Aero m4e1 lowers and they're good quality. You just can't beat the streamlined looks for something a little bit different. The threaded Bolt release hole is a nice thing to have, but the threaded takedown pin detent hole really isn't worthwhile unless you're building a 22lr pistol with a plug.
i don't really get how this is any different than 3d printing a lower, or a polymer80 lower. why not just get an actual metal lower?
glass filled nylon is stronger than 3d printer filament and KE will replace it if yours explodes for less than the price of the filament to print a new one

Mine cracked on the front take down hole when I mortared the rifle. They'd probably replace it, but I wouldn't want them too. It's a nice enough idea, but the design needs refining and reinforcing.
having the stock be a part of the lower makes it a bit less delicate, the main issue with poly lowers is that they snap at the buffer tube slot.

I decided to get a C7 Upper from Tony's customs. Just got to wait for him to ship it. I didn't mind the lack of Colt gray so much because I was planning on painting it anyway. Not terribly original but I'm making the Gordo carbine.

I have two Aero M4E1 lowers and they are good to go. Easier to assemble for retards, less pins to lose, saves me from having to get a trigger guard, and looks fine.
have you considered the silencerco sco15? they're a bit more than the aero but have an ambi bolt catch and integrated qd cups. pretty svelte little billet lower.
