Would the active radar on an APS make them vulnerable to anti-radiation missiles?

      no
The radar is short range, the signal doesn't go very far.

Because opposite to what tank lovers want you to believe they aren’t working. Some scammers from the military industrial complex have fleeced the government for billions with some prototypes, but the technology is useless. Add to that the fact it would exist to keep 4 dudes with a big gun around longer. Get another artillery piece and you can skip the 4 dudes in a coffin waiting to get blown up by a commercial drone part of modern combat.

And no, adding another branch of service just to keep tanks viable so some APS can get a kill on an RPG isn’t smart. Tanks are obsolete.

        >J-just add more branches of service so tanks can be viable again.
        >I-it’s the fault of not having enough supplies, tanks are really viable, I swear
        >T-the tanks blown up is just dumb Ukies fault. They are subhuman, tanks are super viable.

Mcfricking have a nice day, dumbfrick

you do realize infantry has the same artillery and air-defense attached to them to make them viable, right?
they dont just march into battle without an entire army worth of support

I agree that tanks are obsolete, but APS definitely works. Trophy has been proven in real combat on video.

Big gun tank style artillery has been extremely effective this war, but it is looking like 'drive me closer I want to see them with my eyes' is slowly becoming the new 'drive me closer I want to hit them with my sword'

neither side has ones that went into service besides drozd that's dogshit

they work so well they changed the IDF's armored corps doctrine to be much more aggressive
      t. i used to maintain trophy systems in the IDF

You clap sandBlack folk who throw stones. The moment you go against even semi competent Hisbollah operatives with Stone Age technology like MILAN and gayOT you get clapped and driven back. Tanks are dogshit and should stop existing.

Israel didn't have APS during the 2006 war. APS in Gaza skirmishes were so effective IDF infantry who would theoretically be in danger from EFPs begged to work with Trophy-equipped tanks because they were so much more aggressive on the battlefield.
APS has seen wide-scale use only in Israel, and thus far it's living up to the hype.
