Is your living room 100 yards long? Jokes aside it's fine as long as you have a laser or piggy back MRO

Your gonna need a really high powered sniper rifle for that.

You can point shoot your HD weapon. Most important thing is to have a good WML.

No. It belongs on a battle field. Hd guns really only need the front sight.

What does this have to do with Ukraine?

      >bitches about too many ukraine threads
      >brings it up in non ukraine threads
      pozzed moron

The funny coincidence for me is that all the ukrain threads died for a day or two when roe v wade got overturned. Guess all the trannies needed to refocus their efforts on crying on /misc/ before they could go back to shitting out threads in support of European isn'treal.

you don't have to look down the ACOG if you house gets broken into. Practice not suing it at the range.

Depends. I would only use it with a primaryarms ACSS reticule, as it functions similar enough to a red dot and you can shoot it with both eyes open, reticule superimposed over your target.
The problem with an ACOG in CQB would just be getting used to drawing from low carry anyways, right? It has a pretty small eye relief, so you need to have perfected drawing to your shooting position perfectly. As opposed to a reflex site where any moron can look at it from any angle and red = dead.
For home defense with an AR in particular, wouldn't you have a shorter barreled AR? If so, you probably wouldn't use an ACOG on it at all. If its your only AR and its a general purpose set up, I guess. I still think you should have the ACSS reticule though.

Would rather use irons than primary arms YouTube made in China super shilled stuff.

Dude what? ACSS comes on acog now, from trijicon, made in the USA. I don't think you would use irons as you're obviously a moronic nogunz.

Jesus fricking Christ you do realized that ACOG ran (Bidon aiming concept) so that PA could stumble along shitting itself with their hypeshit reticle.

no you need a chink micro red dot because it's impossible to fire a rifle at someone 10 feet away without aiming

no you need a 1200$ relic from 20 years ago because GWOT AESTHETIC!!!

You got a cheaper and newer thing you can tell me about that accomplishes the same thing?

This is why you need a laser, all of them are bright enough to be seen in broad daylight inside a building.

It's possible, if not optimal, to use the ACOG at closer ranges with the BAC. You can also piggyback a red dot onto the ones with greater magnification.

offset MRDS+MPVO is king for literally all situations. you only need one rifle and a shitload of ammo.

    t. 7.62 NATO only chad

    >bbbut overpene...
my AR-10 feeds softpoints. it's also my deer rifle, so i always have a magazine with softpoints in it.

Fair point, but you can also take down deer with 5.56. 7.62 is just better in every category except ammo carrying capacity. 5.56 also overpenetrates unless you're using some silly ass rounds, so I don't know who you're quoting, but they're a clown.

You can take down deer with 5.56 if you limit the frick out of your range, yeah, but .308 can kill a cow elk at 500 yards (with questionable ethics but IDGAF). It's a bit heavier but I can't see myself needing 10 magazines of the shit all in the same trip.

You've never shot a deer at 500 yards in your life. Especially not with a gas gun in fricking 308 thats also zeroed to hd range oh and you can just switch ammo and the zero will be the same too. You're a fricking joke.

    Is it practical? Probably not.

Uhh that's a TA45 designed for CQB with a huge fricking eye relief and is actually a good choice for a home defense rifle as it is 1.5x and works with both eyes open really well.
