It would take you more than several average lifetimes to even climb every single US peak in the western US with a prominence of more than 300ft (way over 100k peaks, at even one a day this would take you over 270 years). Also this , unburdened and guarenteed access to and ownership and legal carrying of guns, lots of guns, the most guns and the armed folks in the world.

You are guaranteed access to firearms in the entire US, either modern or BP or homemade without a permit. The excessively restrictive commie states are in the minority, and the midwest tyrants are losing ground. At least 143 million Americans live in a CC state as of 2024, and as I've noted to many before the eastern US and midwestern US are the most restrictive such CC states (eg OH, TX, FL, GA, TN, NE, IN, AR all have what I call restricted CC, all of them are also 2 decades late to the game), while states like AK, AZ, KY, KS, ID, OK, MT, WV, and WY all have true CC. The supreme irony is that the primary people holding back true CC in the restricted states and the midwest and eastcoast are boomer fudd and dixie republicans. You can build your own firearm for your own use in the US without a form 4473, as it has been since the 1700s. By the text and intent of the original bill of rights, any restriction on the ownership of firearms in the historical context is an infringement upon the rights of the people; which means all AWBs, mag or accessory bans, permits of any kind, and even taxes on arms. In the historical context a man could own his own warship and artillery (still can own and buy BP canons today without a permit btw).

Neither is Ohio, really. Constitutional carry.

Ohio's CC does not apply to long guns in vehicles or to non-CHL holders in school zone with handguns in their vehicles.

Indiana's CC also has restrictions on non-CHL holders for concealed carry of handguns in a vehicle. Indiana is also a red flag state.

TX and FL's "CC" is laughable. Every state has various limitations and restrictions in certain manners, the states I listed as "true CC" have the least and do not limit you in any practical sense anywhere, for example, including on capitol grounds (but often not in federal buildings), permitless carry in bars, and on school property in vehicles (secondary schools with minors, colleges often allow permitless CC loaded on your person) etc, long guns and hand guns.

Consider how many types of shooting sports and utilitarian shooting tasks there are. Add an interest in collecting for historical and/or mechanical items, or even a hobbyist interest in gunsmithing, and Anon's count of seven guns really doesn't seem that many at all.

Everytime I walk out my door I can legally conceal carry without a permit, everytime I go camping or hiking I can carry my Ar slung over my shoulder. And to top it off I get views like pic related and can visit just about every biome on Earth. No other country on Earth even comes close to the personal firearm freedoms and availability that is available in most of the United States. And we need to keep it that way, an armed society is a polite society.

I don't know about "better", but the accessibility between wilderness here in Canada is pretty workable.
You can find a gas station pretty easily or pay a trucker cash to buy some gas off of him if you're stranded.
You don't have to go far to be in ""wilderness"" and have a good time.

Don't believe everything you hear. We have more than our fair share of issues.

You’re thinking of median person income, not average salary. Income includes people who don’t work. Household income in the US is $70k to $80k.

Average is total income divided by population. Median is the midpoint between the highest and lowest income. Modal is the income that is most commonly earned, i.e. what most people make. The last one is what you need to earn to be colloquially "average".

These "God fearing boomers" spent their 20s getting high and frickin' and pissing on each other just like 20 year olds today and were in fact probably MORE keen to do degen stuff because satan was still at the height of his career in 1973. Then they came into money and their career provided their aging body with other fun treats like cars and big houses and commodities of whatever kind so they "settled down" aka relearned to play patty cake and go to sunday school so that they wouldn't be tempted to squander their new found good boy points. Then they had kids (you) and played up the act even more because it's pleasant to have kids and not to have young adults like they were so they gas lit you with all the Jesus stuff but Jesus has been dead since at least the French Revolution. When a boomer makes an appeal to Christianity it about makes me puke. If they weren't rock n roll heads it's even worse because that means they were a fence sitting homosexual. Anyway if "finding Jesus" went along side saving your own life and obtaining financial stability, you can shove it up your ass. Why should you get to virtue signal about something that benefitted you materially. Christian boomers are big slugs weeping and secreting sentimental shit all over everything. They'll be gone soon.

The best option is to live and work somewhere like Washington or Montana, then go up to Canada as you feel like.

You will take home significantly more money doing the same job in the US than you will in Canada.

Monetary policy. The dollar is the world reserve currency. 1/3rd of dollars in circulation are held in foreign hands. This allowed the USA to keep interest rates at 0% and print free money for the last 30 years. The Cantillon effect in economics says that the first to spend new money printed get the value out of it and the last to get it do not. Think of it like a global legalized counterfeiter. US banks with access to the fed window ( their 0% rates) benefit most followed by businesses and people with access to the lowest interest for those loans and so forth. Canada does not have this because they don't have the most massive military empire on tbe planet. So their pay isn't inflated, actually it's deflated. Because their environmental policy has driven up cost of energy (living) like 50% and they're trying to add even more costs to fossil fuels and energy therefore food and transportation.

Usa is also king frick of shit mountain because they have the highest food production on earth with the most blacksoil outside of ukraine.

Isn't the higher pay kind of offset by the very real chance you could need medical care at any moment and insurance companies can and will frick you out of actually claiming anything?

USA is great if you're healthy and young and fairly risk averse regarding your hobbies. If you're just a worker bee that's probably fine.

That said, I wouldn't live in either country if I could help it. Get a remote job and move somewhere cheap you can do that from. Save forever.

No, I don't know you or what standard of living you would enjoy or be able to make compromises on.

Myself I think somewhere in south america might be tolerable and have things I need.

              >need medical care at any moment and insurance companies can and will frick you out of actually claiming anything?
There are like 4 actual health insurance companies. By law full time employees must have health insurance. The plan is up to your employer. My Aetna has a max out of pocket per year of $3500 with a 80% coverage up until that is met and copays for doctor visits of $20. Companies with shitty term health plans have much worse than this. Sometimes employers offer you a choice of a few different plans. But between a husband and spouse odds are one of you will have good health insurance. Once you get too old to work we have medicare and this has multiple choices. You can get a medicare supplemental plan which is what you SHOULD do but it costs you some out of pocket per month. Or you can get a medicare "advantage" plan which is free but forces you to use a local network of care providers. If you are completely destitute you get medicaid which is state insurance. Pretty much anything you see of people complaining is either poor planning or ignorance. It is up to you to know these things just like it is up to you to know how to pay absolutely as little taxes as possible.

That doesn't sound so bad then. Washington might be an option with remote work if this is the case.

America's strict immigration vetting is what allowed it to rise to its current position. If that went away (as it has been with mass illegal immigration being increasingly enabled) you wouldn't want an American visa anyway.

Historic American immigration practices were so aggressively eugenic that Hitler held them up as an ideal model in Mein Kampf. Any time mass migration became a problem in the past there were expulsions and exclusions and the legal immigration process has always been notoriously strict.

It’s sort of like how in Korea Samsung will give you shit pay and workering conditions, because where else are you going to go?
        Same phenomenon in Canada.

In the US you can skip over to a higher paying job much easier because there’s more choice about where to work professionally.
Also the younger generations are getting into running multiple jobs, which while being memed as a bad thing, actually increases their bargaining power dramatically over their employers.

Old 4wd pickups in decent shape can be as little as a couple grand and as long as you don't live somewhere awful like an inner city you're probably within an hour's drive of 50 different places worth hiking or camping or fishing, and 30 of them have no one else there outside of weekends or holidays.

they started out with them, but the chinese only wanted to use canada to hide money and didn't immigrate quickly enough to meet the century initiative so they started the "temporary foreign worker/international student visa" scam to flood every major urban area with pajeets. the entire country has been saturated at this point and they keep flooding in. Canada isn't like USA, we don't have a lot of cities, so you literally can't escape from them.

                How's Chicago better than Toronto?

They don’t assimilate here, either. After all, when entire villages come and set up parallel societies, what is there to assimilate to?

                >South-Slavic

                >Chinese
                >Philippine
                >Turkish
                >Middle-Eastern
                >North African
                >North Indians
                >South/Central African
                >Literal walking and talking piles of shit in human form
                >South Indian/Pakistan/Sri Lanka
                >Jews

Coincidentally, this list probably corresponds perfectly to how likely you are to find any of these given groups PrepHole with a huge drop off after South Slavic. Indians do love the city parks though. They really fricking love them. If you have any significant number of Indians in your city, your parks will be the first casualty. Luckily they don't venture into the real wilderness very often.

That's because Toronto was completely irrelevant in every way up to the 70s when Quebec separatism nonsense scared businesses out of Montreal and highway development finally managed to rival the St. Lawrence in terms of economic potential. I read a comment by an American who, remembering traveling to Toronto in the early 70s, remarked that it felt like a Soviet city.
There's a reason Toronto's only historic nickname is Hogtown and it's only historic dish is peameal bacon.

It's been historically relevant since before the war of 1812 and it used to be the capital of Canada in the 19th century.

Specifically the United States, this is a corny grade-school civics class answer but unironically the Bill of Rights is the reason why I'd never want to live anywhere else. Name me another country where you have a guaranteed right to talk shit about the government or whatever crazy ideology you want, own a gun, and where the police can't search your house or vehicle without a bunch of red tape. And it's not just a law that any legislature could repeal, it's enshrined in the Constitution where it's basically impossible to amend or repeal them.

Also we have a culture that seems much more accepting of risky or just weird behavior, at least compared to the rest of the English speaking world. Any time I see videos from Britain or Australia or even anywhere in Europe it seems like everyone is a bunch of nosy busybodies who call the cops if you're doing anything weird. If you modify your car, or build a vaguely gun shaped project in your back yard, the fricking cops come down on you. America seems like the only place where that doesn't happen that isn't a third world shithole.

it is illegal to carry but the same applies there, your person will NEVER get stopped and searched so you can if its concealed. in your car under the absolute minimum chance they might find a reason to do so, unload it, secure it and stove it away. you where just going to the range, they cannot disprove it and you do not have to tell a cop you have guns in your car in the first place its not their business. however after a few days of doing this you will soon realise its not needed and just leave the guns at home.
your x-wife cannot claim any kind of alimony nor is she guaranteed the right of your kids.
your boss cannot fire you just because he feel like it.
you are personally responsible for your own actions, no point in sueing anyone else for it nor will you be sued by them.
private ownership of wildeness is common and encouraged keeping control of it in the hands of locals not govment and you are guaranteed access to it through right to roam, a right said landowners are exclusively pro.
there are no forces here working hard to take away guns and trucks.

as for the rest i cannot watch american out/tubers without seeing a bunch of sheltered whiny homosexuals who cant even drink river water without 7 types of filtration first and exclusively buy tacticool gear and need 35" tires and full overland gear just to drive a frickin dirtroad.

There's literally no redeeming qualities about Canada these days if you are a Canadian born anglo man.

It's materially better off than India/Africa, which is pretty much our only draw, and that's our entire economy, boomers scamming fake immigrant students.

Quebec is kinda cool but it's a whole different kettle of fish. And it's pretty closed off unless you're a French Canadian.

Other than that, horrible dollar, horrible job market, housing crisis, no culture. Fishing and hiking can be good in some places but you can do that in the US. Whatever Americans complain about, it's 100x worse in Canada.

I initially was going to tell you to frick off, for that anon speaks the truth, but I've only ever lived in Quebec and Ontario, with the majority being Ontario. Maybe it's different elsewhere in this nation. Ontario is exactly as the other anon describes, and he describes it gently. This is the worst province, or place north of Tennessee to live in, bar goddamn none. There are no upsides to living here unless you are an "international student" or forced here on LIMA. Property/Rent is astronomical, cost of living is out of control (food, gas, insurance, utilities, consumer goods, the dollar...) the infrastructure is failing, the goverment only cares about how "progressive" it can appear to the headlines, you are surrounded by rich immigrants who short-circuit the working class, or poor immigrants who take up the entire service class and are handed it on a platter for landed work programs. I've been through two trade schools and failed to make a career that I can make the living wage in this country and be better off then where I was at 17. Genuinely anon, where is the upside to living in my home nation? I'm a fricking Canadian, a real one, and the only hope for a future not on the poverty line is to go to America.

Even in hyperbole none of this is true but what is true is that America has more and better out than your country and you are seething.

America has cute White girls. There are none in my country.

Untrue! I have met several along the way...especially in Montreal but also YYZ. Most hospitable women they were.

I'm not Canadian lol. However, my point still stands. There are no White women in my country. That's why I want to move to America, make it big there and get a cute White girl to marry, impregnate and have children with.

Industrialisation, then houses built on top of it all only to find out that the veggies in your garden you've been eating already gave you cancer you just don't know it yet

I can carry a firearm in the woods sure it’s five rounds cause leaf laws but hey I can carry a gun.

Wouldn't you be tougher if you didn't need to take a gun in the woods though?
And before you imply anything, I am also a Canadian with firearms, who lives in a much more remote and dangerous part of Canada than you do.

Wouldn’t be as fun though blasting rounds in the bush is fun as frick.

Out of curiosity, why not use one of the smaller magazines? Do you just prefer the aesthetic of the 30-rounder?

Yes also 30 rounders are cheaper and easier to find.

I don’t think you grasp the size of the outdoors in the US(even without Canada) the us is roughly the same size as Europe(I believe it’s 96% the size) yet Europe has litteraly more than twice as many residents. It’s all city’s unless your in some poor Eastern European country or cold Nordic country.

what are private property laws like in Canada? how much of the wilderness is public property? in let's say i wanted to temporarily live as a nomad in the Canadian wilderness, how much of it is explorable without trespassing? or will most land owners not care if people camp on private?
