1- Go to JFK and book a seat on the daily Swissair flight between New York and Geneva
(if you're non-white and don't mind flying United, you can alternatively go to Newark, they have a daily flight to Geneva too)
2- Once landed at Geneva, change your worthless US dollars to glorious CHF/Swiss Francs
      You're welcome

They'd be post sample MGs and those have been under heavy scrutiny by the ATF recently. Otherwise they'd need to be cut up and shipped to the US in parts then reassembled with new US made parts as semi autos.

A few of my buddies have shot them and I read about the French army experience. The lever delay system, while neat is highly ammo sensitive and its performance is underwhelming. I know it's cool, but I'm doing my part to counter Ian misinformation when he claims it's a good gun.

The HK416, whilst a good rifle, is just completely inferior to the FAMAS in every way and France should have upgraded the FAMAS

          >>muh 25 round magazine
          >Literal non issue, count rounds and reload
Wasn't the mags supposed to be disposable and that's why the FAMAS had some issues in the start? I've heard it's a solid rifle after they fixed that

Maybe in the deluded mind of some engineer back in the 1970s. If we lost a mag it cost us €50 and a case of beer to the armourer. I think the 25 rounds was because the magazine is straight not curved like a 30 round M16 mag

French soldier here, I totally agree, the worst part being the eyesight and sight, the sight is twice or three time larger than the famas one, I could shoot up to 400m without optic, which I can't barely do with the HK 416 since I can't see shit.

and the gravity center of the 416 suck ass, FAMAS was comfy as frick when going on a walk...

I had the C25525, the chamber was a pain in the ass to clean, because, if you look at pict related, there are two holes on each side of the chamber, and you had to use frickton cotton swab to clean them right, everyone had their own special way to clean those.

Each year, the whole armement of a regiment had to be clean to the point of shining, and are inspected by weapon specialist.

Fun fact, is FAMAS were getting so much clean, that the bronzing and paint ( dunno if it's the good work ) disappear...

That said, it's the best weapon I ever had, it's compacted, has a good gravity center, and wasn't a pain in the ass during ceremony, which is the case for HK416...

Also, you were less punished if it fall on the ground, since they were not brand new, A friend took 14 days au trou, because during a training, he fall on the ground, and scratch it's 416...

implying it's my own gun, and not a gun which 3 gehneration used before I put my hand on it, It's property of the governement, I can't do whatever I want with it, and it's a good thing, else, it mean that there would be at least one moron which would paint it's gun in pink, and put hello kitty on it. Yuk!

euros are committed to never allowing americans the opportunity to enjoy the famas purely out of spite. aside from replacement migration, its the only thing they are united on

Wellp, to be faire, If I, an actual french soldier, can't buy a FAMAS, I would be utterly mad to see 'murican be able to buy them.

But hey, if you can buy it, at least, it would be better than them being scrapped.

ESLs and boomers, they just can't get enough.

                Just to make you suffer.

Ah yes time to punish a man for dropping his rifle during training. Instead of instructing someone on what they did wrong and imparting this information to everyone. Say where the center gravity shifts with certain attachments or something else practical for the slow ones in the group. Instead you put them in timeout? Frick I hope that's fake.

The worst being, that the guy return it to the armory :

                - It's Lieutnant told him no one would say anything

                - It's Capitaine? "it's a rifle, it's supposed to get worn out in combat situation and training"

                - specialist and their boss in the armory? "Lol, doesn't care, it's just a scratch"

Then, suddenly, the Chef de Corps ( A colonel, O-5 if i'm correct ) heard about it two weeks later, during a coffee break between him and all the other Capitaine.

An hour later, my friend was in T21 ( pic related ) AKA "You either did something good, or you fricked up", and took it's 14 days...

And the next Friday, during the colors, the Colonel took 20 minutes to explain to the whole regiment, that it was bad to scratch your gun...
