>A battered Brazilian Spanish travel influencer has detailed being horrifically gang-raped in India while her husband was forced to watch — as police revealed Tuesday that eight men have been arrested over the sick attack.

>The couple, who go by Vicente y Fernanda on their social media pages, allege they were set upon by the gang of men while camping in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand last Friday night.

The place they picked to camp was sketchy as frick but that later on the night I'm not sure they had many choices left.

Why not? Watch the whole video and you can see when they arrived during the day to scout the place they were going to camp they had already been harassed, it's not unbelievable for the same people to be there at night waiting for them to come back.
Maybe they should have tried looking for a different place to sleep but after dark falls sets you're fricked because your chances of finding a better place to set up tent drops drastically.

        >why not?
Because I’ve never seen evidence that rape actually exists. I’m m not saying it can’t happen; obviously you can beat the living shit out of a woman and insert an erect penis into her (actual rape). It’s just that people lying about rape is a much more common phenomenon.

Not going to further engage in a discussion with you because you're clearly trying to derail the thread and I would like to keep it PrepHole, ie, how to pick the right campsite, when to pack your shit and go and general camping safety when touring or backpacking.

You’re posting a nonsense topic (avoiding violence, which isn’t a threat in the outdoors) while using what’s most likely a false premise.

If you want to actually talk about site selection we can talk about why it’s a bad idea to camp at the top of a hill or why rodents can be an issue, but PrepHole doesn’t believe either of these things can ever be a problem.

I've always been skeptical of the gang rape phenomenon. It sounds like a female fantasy.
          >Oh I was so irresistible that they couldn't wait their turn
How many men really want to stick their dicks in a hole full of three other dude's cum? I know they have gang bangs in porn. But those guys are paid and are probably bisexual. And they usually cum on the girl's face one at a time, so there's no swapping slop.
Remember the Duke lacrosse case? We were told in lurid detail for months how the entire team raped that black stripper. In the end, it turned out to be her weird race kink fantasy and it ruined those boy's lives.
If it happens it's probably exceptionally rare.

Everything? They were camping and touring the world so that's as PrepHole as it gets.

i dated an indian girl once and she talked about how she loved being in canada because she could finally go camping

she was from the south of india, so I know there was nature nearby. I asked her why didn't go camping there. her response:

    >oh, women don't go camping in India because they will be raped for that

In India it was common for a dozen women to crowd around me for protection in public transit, or for wealthy Indian to try to hire me as a bodyguard. They often travelled with muscle or hired police/Mafia and with good reason.

The kinds of assault women suffer is unbelievable, men with 50IQ will approach a child and try to finger her in full site of everyone and need to be retained. Often crowds take the side of the attacker, and women who've been assaulted in some way are often raped subsequently by the crowd, by police. Police in India will detain a victim of sexual assault as a "witness" and treat them as a suspect.... in their own rape. India doesn't have the presumption of innocence so witnesses are widely abused, and that's a driving reason Indians either all refuse to intervene, or ask form a mob.

It was said the rape took place in the state jharkhand, which is in the north. It's also a poor state in India. She had much better options

One thing about India is the lack of communication among state entities. Everyone has a mobile yet are still somehow unable to network. The attitude of police and authorities in general is disgusting, shocking and vile. Police will just watch a rape in progress because they are the traffic police, and won't have a reliable way to contact police patrol. They can barely maintain order far less justice, stampedes are terrifying and frequent, people will just be walking to a train platform at normal pace, then suddenly people can't go forward, people keep coming from behind, women start yelling, and then a bunch of people are just trampled to death out of the blue.

It's hardly a tourist destination, but I've noticed in India that many municipalities are dishonestly canvassing for tourism.
Many don't even make basic provisions like licencing tourist taxis, licencing guides, installing security at attractions. The classic is when tourists try to reach an attraction that's closed and are followed by local men who know the road or attraction will be deserted.

Many Indian men seem to believe that a woman who's not safety concious is actively seeking to have an affair. Indian women have so little social mobility many resort to exposing themselves to rape in order to have casual sex, much like gay men used to in the west. Many Indian men are watching thousands of hours of online content that sexualizes foreign women, but most disturbingly a lot is published with malicious intent by Indian groups, the kind of Indian Tate.

I had some very dicey experiences in India and that was as a man.
There's something about Indians, they're friendly but they swarm. Even among themselves they swarm.

In fact, I had some very, very close calls in jhsrtakamd. Not all Indian states are the same, it's a continent. Synthetic opiate use is a major problem in jhartakhand and Chinese backed insurgents have been in a tit for tat terror campaign for decades where ethnic cleansing and rape feature prominently.

I can't tell you stories because you'd work out who I am, because I'm a travel blogger, but suffice to say there are some very bad regions of India. Bihar, jahandethkand, all around kolkota, the basin of the seven sisters (see: manipur)

At many points I was forced to travel with military forces, and once or twice thrown a rifle in case there was contact. I got stuck in military transit columns and was almost raped by soldiers. What goes on in the parts of India you aren't meant to visit? Rape, opiates, insurgency.
