Its a weird one, it might just be that they initially denied it very hard, then there was some post saying he was in hospital alive bit with no brain activity, and then pretended he was fine and started posting on his account and doing old videos.
Maybe they are just waiting for the whole thing to be forgotten since they don't want to admit the lie, it would be so easy to show him alive and end all the rumours it was him that I suspect it was him and he's dead.

He showed up on a few different news programs a week or so later, and had been injured but apparently it was from some sort of fragmentary wound to one of his feet. He probably just disappeared from the Internet because he wouldn't have been able to live that one down.
