Is the Ruger 22/45 Lite a good bugout pistol? The threading fits the same silencer I use on my 10/22 Magpul Takedown, and seems light and easy to clean. Also reliable I guess considering it being rimfire.
Any other good candidates for a 22LR handgun for retreating innawoods?
>inb4 .22
I don’t care, I need something for small game hunting, not shooting humans and my country has no large predators.
It's pretty great, especially considering you can carry a frickton of ammo in a small volume. Also, if you have defend against a human, i defy any moron on this board to withstand 10rds of .22lr to the chest and still fight
Given that it seems you're not in the US, and you've already got a 22 rifle then yes. Ironically it's perfect for shooting humans too.
>Also reliable I guess considering it being rimfire.
rimfire is less reliable than centerfire. The actions are simpler and more forgiving, yes.
>Ironically it's perfect for shooting humans too.
inb4 it bounces arounderinoooo
Your fatass is not going "innawoods" regardless of whatever doomsday larp fantasy that you have dreamt up, so just buy the 22LR pistol that you like to shoot
Massive projection. Are you doing okay fren? Do you want to talk about it?
>fren
Fat and moronic too. On second thought don't buy any firearms
>Fat and moronic too
The projection continues. Hope things get better for you
>y-you are p-projecting
Keep coping fatass. Hopefully the boogaloo will get here before your heart disease

Do Euros really?
>still no gun
I accept your defeat..
Nobody is mean to another person like this unless they have a problem. The only time it's cool to be mean is if you're teaching someone something or if they actually did something very wrong.
This, but in a snubby configuration with a detachable .22LR suppressor and a brick each of subsonic and standard pressure.
Also, a 10/22 ISR
>The threading fits the same silencer I use on my 10/22
Bro, all .22s use 1/2x28.
Huh, okay I didn’t know that. I saw a SIG P22 with a silencer included in the kit that had stamped on the silencer could not be used on anything else than that model of pistol.
Yeah that’s bad wording from my original post, I know rimfire has a bigger rate of mishaps than centerfire.
Not true actuality. CZ makes a number of risks that use different threads. I almost bought one of them by accident. Thankfully the guys at the gun store helped me correct my order.
mine is extremely reliable but for a bug out pistol I'd still go for either a rifle or a 9mm handgun. But if you're dead set on a 22 I don't think it's a bad choise.
Lotta nuts you got there boy.
I've got that exact model, gold trim and everything:
>Reliable
Yep, it did have a break-in period, and it is sensitive to dirt and residue to a degree but not overmuch for a .22. when using good ammo and nominally clean it has been quite reliable. The mags are robust and reliable as well
>Light
Pretty light, you can take off the top pic rail if you want as well
>Easy to clean
Extremely. It gets gunked up quickly but it has a toolless takedown and the insides are very accessible with very few small parts that you could lose
All-in-all I think the 22/45 is a decent pick, could also go with a regular Ruger mark whatever. I've heard good things about the sr22 as well
I hear good timh
Where is the best place to get one of these on the cheap? I've got my rifle all ready to go, but now I'd like to add a pistol for my suppressor.
why not get something with bigger magazines and a longer barrel?
Bigger magazine is a good point, 22/45 only holds 10 rnds I guess
Longer barrel, I don’t know. It’s added weight and I’m gonna be using a silencer for a lot of the time
Any other handguns you would suggest?
I went with the TX22 Competition. I looked at the 22/45s, and a Black Mamba. the TX22 Comp comes with 3 17 round magazines and I would say 70% more ammo in the mag is a lot more. it's a lot bigger, but both are going to be pretty unsmall with a can on them.
It's an excellent .22 pistol, only marred by its lack of flashlight rail. You can put one on, but they should really make a pic rail either standard or an option. Then it would be perfect. I have a number of friends with them and they all swear by them.
I recently bought a Beretta 92 .22lr that came with a threaded barrel and suppressor height sights and its been great. Big advantage is 15 round mags that work great whereas the mk iv only holds 10, and it has an integral undeterred rail. One big disadvantage is no ability to mount a dot. But I can larp as MGS2 Snake so that's pretty neat. Also got it during the recent rebate so it was a good deal, around $350 after the rebate and shipping and FFL transfer fee.
Would the underbarrel rail of the 22/45 Tactical be worth it? Or does the advantages of the Lite version outweigh it?
Tactical is really heavy for a .22 pistol. The listed weight on Ruger's website is more than the my buddy weighed his Lite with a dot, light, full mag, and suppressor. Better option is either doing a Lite with a clamp-on mount or what my buddies did and drill and tap a rail on the underside (note: they said this was pretty difficult and didn't recommend I do that, but it turned out really nice for them)
Sorry, had a stroke there. My buddy weighed his Lite + accessories + full mag and it was lighter than an empty Tactical
Stop buying Rugerslop, there are much better guns for the same price. E.G. the Grand Power CP22
