I can only imagine how homosexual and weak some of the people posting here are. A 16“ rifle is unbalanced? How? I suppress mine with a 613 gr suppressor and it doesn’t feel unbalanced. Maybe improve your diet and lift some weights. Guns were never intended to be used by women.

you only did 16" because you're a pussy who's scared a cop is going to measure your barrel one day. 16 is too long for a suppressor unless it's just a bench gun or spr. even 14.5 is pushing it. 16" suppressed is moron territory.

They're all kinds accurate, except 24 inch. Nobody in this thread has ever seen 24 inch 5.56, much less can post one with a time stamp

If you already get a 20" barrel why not go with 308 and get an ar10. I own a 14.5 and wanted to get a nice classic looking 20" too but at that point there is really no reason to stick with 5.56 with all the advantages you get from 308

45 ACP +P easily does ~1400 fps and ~500 ft/lbs energy out of a pistol barrel already and doesn't cost $1 per round

I'm only counting subsonic BLACKED ammo cause that's literally what it was made for; don't care about meme AK replacement shit shooting a 10 foot fireball using 110 gr rounds that I could do just as easily with a boomer AR pistol

14.5 and 11.5 are for serious AR15 enjoyers. 20 and 10.5 are acceptable for clones. 16in is for people who love chugging ATF cum.

      Anonymous

Civ restrictions were in fact the origin for 16in. However completely by coincidence, 16 is basically the shortest barrel length you can use with a rifle length gas system (a combination that even most of /k/ is bluepilled on) Also 16in with a suppressor sits right at the max length most people would want an AR.

        Anonymous

It also happens to be the exact barrel length for where the round chambered in .223 / 5.56 begins to rapidly lose velocity. The fps loss after 16" becomes much more pronounced.

14.5in ARs chambered in 5.56x45 are nothing more than range toys and people who claim 14.5 is a sweet spot for 5.56x45 know jack shit about ballistics.
Might as well just use a ruger 10/22 if all you care about is plinking, at least you'll save some money that way. 16 is already cutting it pretty short so if you're below 16 and not using 300blk just lol.
