2. Produce my own versions of Patriots and Gepards.
3. Continue to expand anti-ship missile research.
4. Create an emergency "how to develop a nuclear bomb if we need to" kit to open up if China ever gets serious about invading. Nuclear powerplants are based.

Just like in Ukraine? That's why you have Patriots and other air defenses. China shit is just upgraded Russian shit that actually works. It's still inferior to American shit from 30 years ago. That's why USA should be offloading EVERYTHING to Taiwan, Ukraine, and other allies. Stop blowing things up.
>Just like in Ukraine?
Ukraine is huge, Taiwan is not. Just a warzone in Ukraine is the size of a whole Taiwan, and it takes only like ~20% of the whole Ukraine's territory, plenty of space in the rear to hide things, plenty of distance to put things out of enemy range. Taiwan doesn't have any of these, it will either outgun china or get completely saturated itself.
I do believe that drone/missile spam is goign to be key. They need huge amounts of air defenses. I also propose the Taiwanese navy can retreat to the back of the island, and be used as additional air defenses, rather than attempting to directly attack the Chinese navy.
I don't think a landing is in any way feasable, so the battle for taiwan will be won or lost entirely on naval and air defenses.
Taiwan doesn't need to single handedly defeat China, merely hold out until the US and allied navies come to relieve them. US Navy plans on blockaiding Chinese coast, and US government is going to heavily sanction China in the event of an invasion. China is going to be worrying about mass starvation in that case.
China is already worrying about mass starvation, they don't have nearly enough available fresh water for their crop needs. There are a lot of reasons why it would be foolish for China to actually attack Taiwan.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suppose that the Americans make their own hatchways, though.
After all, they wouldn't want it to be in the wrong side of the portal.
>Create an emergency "how to develop a nuclear bomb if we need to" kit to open up if China ever gets serious about invading. Nuclear powerplants are based.
They already have this as a nuclear latent state, but would need at least six months without being detected to get their first nuke together.
I’d personally just buy 20-50 Pershing IIs and train them all on the Three Gorges Dam as a short-term band-aid until a proper rearmament focused on A2AD can be completed. With an explicit warning that a military invasion of Taiwan would result in it being blown to kingdom come and the Chinese economy collapsing for at least a decade.
You know, their dams farther up the river are probably less protected, and if blown, they COULD cause a cascading effect that collapses the next ones downstream.

instead of tanks 6x6s, 8x8s and truck arty seems a better investment because of mobility in the mountainous but urban terrain of the island. specially considering china can't land a lot of tanks in the initial waves.
Taiwan would be way better off buying and licensing the Japanese Type 10. Both Japan and Taiwan are basically the perfect environment for it. It's a lot lighter while still having all the fancy shit at the cost of armor, but still better than all the light tanks China would be forced to use.
Issue is retarded Japanese license/export law. It's the no. 1 reason they aren't the biggest arms exporter in Asia. SK has really loosened up it's export laws and can send it's shit anywhere while also producing way more than Japan. I'm really surprised there isn't more Korean stuff in the ROC given how close the two have been for so long.
U.S already cleaned that stuff out sending it to Israel and Ukraine; ROC would be better off licensing stuff from Europe, building their own stuff, and importing/licensing stuff from Korea, Japan(if they could covertly), and Cold War stuff from SEA.
Drones.
Millions of them!
Anti armor grenades for the drones and antipersonnel grenades for the drones.

Heads up, im gonna ignore drones because I don't know enough about their usage, especially in an environment before a beachhead is established.
>Invest in MANPADs and SPAA
I'm gonna throw the Chinese a bone and assume that they can do SEAD, even if it's only for small periods of time in localized areas. That means that a traditional AA network might not always be a viable option for preventing helicopter assaults. You don't need to encompass the whole island, just enough to make it a risky proposition with high casualties before landing. Thus, small units along the coast should have access to an ample supply of Stingers and missiles. As long as there's enough Avengers and Chaparrals dotted around the coast, it should buy time on the tactical and strategic level. >Scatter ATGM's along the coast
(If) a D-Day style assault begins, it'll be one hell of a light show for the defenders since we don't have to use unguided artillery. If we are able to acquire sufficient amounts of SACLOS ATGMs with proficient crews in the right areas, that would absolutely shit on any landing attempt made with IFV's even. Assuming the crews don't get hit with a bomb or anything
Realistically, there is only one win condition for Taiwan. Prevent China from establishing a permanent landing site with a logistics chain to the mainland. If China can do that it then it is over, they will crush Taiwan by sheer numbers, if they can't then the island is an impenetrable fortress. What Taiwan needs is a fuck ton of anti-ship missiles and anti-air missiles all mobile, hidden or protected, ground, sea and air launched. More submarines would also help. A land force capable of destroying any landing site quickly before it becomes entrenched. The big trick would be to make it ugly as fuck to try and take Taiwan even without direct western help and then have the prospect of direct western action be a secondary deterrent. Basically become South Korea tier.
a retarded ammount of anti air and anti ship capabilities, just sit and wait
maybe an iron dome for the entire island
or those new fancy anti-air lasers
make any sea invasion so brutal china would need a bridge of sunken ships and dead bodies to reach the island
Nothing, their military looks fine. I'd instead either look into getting nuclear weapons and/or creating an equivalent to the 2nd amendment/loosening Taiwanese gun laws to increase the likelihood of an insurgency if China sets up an occupation government.
Indeed. I'm amazed with how many fucking M14s and various Cold War/WWII surplus that Taiwan hasn't done what Austria and Switzerland has done with their old guns and just let everyone that's served keep one.
Dig extensive Gaza-esque tunnel networks, buy air defense systems from the US, thousands of anti-ship missiles, get tens of thousands of drones, both air and naval drones, and thousands of ATGMs and MANPADs. Focus less on being a standing army and more on irregular warfare, using lessons learned from Ukraine and Gaza.
This would be perfect for the Western half of the Island, which is all flat and rural and only interrupted by the occasional city. >and thousands of ATGMs and MANPADs

My only frame of reference is a few years’ experience in infantry. I’ll be the first to admit that grunts would be borderline useless at repelling an invasion. They would be most useful as an insurgency after the fact. Sure we could still do WW2 pacific theater island defenses, but AA and AS missiles will be FAR more important. Submarines, especially nuclear powered ones would be the best counter to the PLAN since the ROC can’t hope to match the industrial capacity of the PRC.

I mean, the commies sat out WW2 and got handed everything the soviets got from stealing Manchuria.
Meanwhile the ROC had been at war with the Japs for over 10 year and actually held them to a stalemate up until the very costly assaults at Ichi-Go.
So yeah, the Commies won by fighting a WW1 Army with a shitton of society backing and having been given the few industrialized portions of china.
>They actually published this as propaganda
This is so fucking sloppy holy shit, please tell me those guys are regular infantry and not some "special" forces. They genuinely do not understand how to do room clearing or move from cover to cover. Also look at the two teams' positions as the one on the top of the frame emerges from their container, if this was a real raid there would 100% be a blue-on-blue incident here
>MIC gets a lot of material from Taiwan >they'll just let china take it and be d them over for lulz
I can't imagine being this retarded all the time and thinking you have a single valuable thing to add to any conversation you're a part of.
Extensive sea mining campaign. A cheap floating contact sea mine can cost as low as $2000, so buying one million such mines would only cost me $2 billion. When the godless commies start invading I’ll just release all one million sea mines and celebrate the annihilation of PRC’s economy. Total Commie Death
A whole lot of paper changes to make it look like I'm doing actual work while I steal millions from their spending and use it on a lavish lifestyle.
That's what you get for hiring a turk
It's worse than IDF tbh, at least they have some veterans wrangling the reservist retards. Chinks have zero experienced guys and it shows
True. They even have a term for it in the PLA, they call it "Peace Sickness". They should just send some retards into Myanmar or something for a dress rehearsal.
Invest massively in asymmetric weapon systems, in a straight fight against china Taiwan loses, no question so the goal here is to 1) prevent a landing and 2) be able to inflict enough damage and losses that they don't try it. Leaving the US out of the equation that's literally it, and truthfully option one is likely to eventually fail if no one outside intervenes but they can try and make it extremely painful. The issue with high cost and high density shit like F-16s and Patriots is that they are not long for this world given the amount of firepower China will be able to drop on them and they eat up a shitload of budget for a comparatively low amount of systems. Those systems fulfill key roles and shouldn't be scraped but other options are needed so in no order >low density and highly mobile long range strike
This is gonna take the form of a huge stockpile loitering munitions and long range suicide drones, think of a Taiwanese shasneed or equivalent yook drone. These would need to be dispersed all around the island with hundreds and hundreds ready to launch and reposition ASAP. Truck launched, fired from shipping containers, it doesn't matter it just needs to be fast, numerous and spammable. >anti-ship/cruise missile
a bit more expensive but a huge stockpile is needed, specifically with cruise missiles. Idea here is that you're gonna get one chance to strike hard before they level you so the second they start you need every suicide drone in the air as possible gathering intel and striking assets, followed by a massive retaliatory cruise missile attack on airbases and other key shit like staging areas for the amphibious fags. Kill as much as you can now because you will lose the ability to do this type of damage as time goes on. Again, shipping containers, truck mounted, shit even a single one and done static box launcher hidden in the mountains is fine. You need massed volume. 1/2
2/2 >submarines and mines
cheap, diesel electric subs and unmanned underwater drones. Drones in question should either be a suicide variant or carry one or two torpedo's. Again, idea is that you need as much striking power for as cheap as possible because you're gonna get bombed to shit regardless, there wont be options to make more and do follow up attacks. You should have the worlds deadliest mine laying capability, if it doesn't cause losses it buys you time at the very least.
That's basically it. If you're pushed off the beach defense and they get a bridgehead you've lost. So the only options is to prevent it or degrade it to the point where you can successfully avoid the ground invasion. You will still lose anyway but you can last much longer and cause much more damage and hopefully hold out until you get saved by the US. Those are the top three priorities I can think of, there's more but two posts is enough
have a layered defense
1st have a lot of anti ship missiles dispersed in around the island.
these missiles have to be able to operaate autonomous with radar and optical sensors and basically just need coordinates because the chinks will do everything to surpress the threat and blind any sea radar we have.
2nd if a landing accours have mobile forces and a lot of ranged shit like hidden mortars, loitering munitions arty, which should make logistics on a bridghehead impossible for the enemy
There is no need to alter the course of their current modernisation projects since they know their military more than you, me and entire /k/ combined.
They are focusing on subs and anti-ship weapons and they have pretty good domestic anti-ship missiles.
yeah

10. make sure they dont actually fight like this.
I said "REPUBLIC of China", not People's Republic.
Also, lol who trained them, the IDF?
whats the differnece?
>who trained them the IDF
bollywood action movie actors probably.
>verification not required
Republic of China= Taiwan
People's Republic of China= Mainland
sounds like the same thing to me. asiatic shitholes pretending to have competent militaries. i dont see the difference.
ROC has a comfy Cold War aesthetic
PRC is wannabe Russia
I love Pattons so much, comfiest tank ever
Taiwan is is a territory of the People's Republic of China
Wrong, mainland China is a territory of the Republic of China
I call this one the "Barefoot Gen" scenario
>handedly lose long civil war
>only avoid execution by fleeing to island territory
>only avoid invasion and eradication due to western support
Yeah we totally won you guys, and actually we are the rightful owners of the mainland
Dilate commie
I mean, the commies sat out WW2 and got handed everything the soviets got from stealing Manchuria.
Meanwhile the ROC had been at war with the Japs for over 10 year and actually held them to a stalemate up until the very costly assaults at Ichi-Go.
So yeah, the Commies won by fighting a WW1 Army with a shitton of society backing and having been given the few industrialized portions of china.
Agreed but that includes the island of Taiwan
>Chinese getting ready to kill some Wiggers.
>They actually published this as propaganda
This is so fucking sloppy holy shit, please tell me those guys are regular infantry and not some "special" forces. They genuinely do not understand how to do room clearing or move from cover to cover. Also look at the two teams' positions as the one on the top of the frame emerges from their container, if this was a real raid there would 100% be a blue-on-blue incident here
They're regulars, hence why their kit is so shit.
Still comically bad, big IDF vibes.
It's worse than IDF tbh, at least they have some veterans wrangling the reservist retards. Chinks have zero experienced guys and it shows
Keep it as is, wait for the invasion, then plead the victim and beg the US for military aid. Perfect formula - works every time
>beg the US for military aid
We're going to be bled dry at that point given Ukraine got all our old shit and Israel got all our good shit.
And neither of those conflicts will ever end
Indeed, and both will sadly likely have more support(especially Israel) from the MIC and its political arms than Taiwan.
>MIC gets a lot of material from Taiwan
>they'll just let china take it and be d them over for lulz
I can't imagine being this retarded all the time and thinking you have a single valuable thing to add to any conversation you're a part of.
TSMC and other chip makers have moved to the U.S and are in increasing numbers
Not in any numbers remotely close to being able to replace taiwan proper, but keep dreaming chang
1. procure missile that can blow up dam
2. profit
my simple 2 step plan to self sufficiency
A whole lot of paper changes to make it look like I'm doing actual work while I steal millions from their spending and use it on a lavish lifestyle.
That's what you get for hiring a turk
Based Turk. How is the North Syrian pussy today?
True. They even have a term for it in the PLA, they call it "Peace Sickness". They should just send some retards into Myanmar or something for a dress rehearsal.
>send some retards into Myanmar or something
That'd be funny
ADAShS
Those systems fulfill key roles and shouldn't be scraped but other options are needed so in no order
>low density and highly mobile long range strike
2/2
>submarines and mines
cheap, diesel electric subs and unmanned underwater drones.
Just build a noook
Then China can just pull "le weapons of mass destruction" excuse for an intervention. Same reason SK and Japan don't have noooks
