Your guns are cool and all Anon, but how fast can you run a mile? You realize how important cardiovascular health is to any sort of warfare, right?

less than 6 minutes. I think that's good enough
That's pretty good Anon. Mirin
all I did was run some. you can too.
Yeah that's good enough. Feel proud anon, I know it's not pro tier but it's very good
>muh cibil wor
LARP.
>muh Roman Repvblic will fall
LARP.
That isn't applicable IN ANY WAY. Fucking retard. Did your stupid ass mean the empire perhaps?
I mean… technically the republic fell when it became the empire. that other anon is retarded though. you’re retarded too if you double down, so don’t do that. you’re a smart cookie if you just agree and we can both call that other anon a retard
>running is key to warfare
But I'm not French.
You do realize that military units have to sprint forward in order to advance and push the enemy right? You don't just stay stationary during a firefight
Why, are the enemies respawning until you pass an invisible line? Why not just kill them first, NOT expose yourself to enemy fire and get unnecessary attention, and then walk to the point?
Is this bait or something?
Lack of knowledge on my part and a bit baity way to get people to explain the matter to me.
>hmmm I don’t understand this topic
>I’d better act like a brainless moron. That will get people to teach me
No, moron, it won’t
Fair enough Anon, I use the same strategy often. Basically as I understand it a lot of military tactics include trying to run up on and surprise/flank the enemy. Obviously if you are in a firefight then you will seek cover, but if your enemy runs around and fucks you in the ass when you aren't expecting it and where you don't have cover then you are fucked, so a lot of strategy involves trying to run off to the side and trying to flank the enemy. This seems to be how warfare has almost always happened, stretching back to the Greek phalanx for instance. You need to be able to run to a position as fast as possible to seize the advantage, or run away as fast as possible to retreat without being slaughtered. If you can't run in battle you are a sitting duck and at a massive disadvantage, unless behind incredible defenses
moron, shut the fuck up
Smartest, most active amerimutt
Reinforcements. IE the enemies respawning.
>sprint into enemy fire
Wagner plz.
>Just wait around and get shot at as the enemy envelopes you
Genius!
>not going for peak Donut Cop aesthetics
I’m not going to war. I’m sending the morons and Hispanics to war instead. They die, I laugh. The end. Why would I need to run? Are you stupid?
>cardiovascular health
What's the resting heart rate of kanons?
>40 to 50 (sitting-lying down)
High 50s to low 60s
7 minutes
80s about, my heart has always beat a bit on the fast side.
>80s about, my heart has always beat a bit on the fast side.
That's not a good thing Anon
I mean, I've asked a doctor about it before and they said shouldn't have anything to worry about.
And you trust doctors?
80-90.
>6 min
>60 BPM
How often do you smoke/drink? Mine dropped about 20 after I cut down on both
>and what about this?
>and this?
>and this?
>and this?
>haven't done this thing? you're dead
PrepHole is just a shill botfarm at this point
Hasn’t it been for like a decade?
It's okay. I was running 2-3 5ks a week during the summer, but I stopped after I got covid. Getting back into it now+got my bike back, so that'll be a little bit of bonus cardio too.
Running will make me lose valuable energy reserves in my arteries. By the time everyone else has starved to death, my body will be tapping into its strategic cholesterol reserves.
>how fast can you run a mile?
Under 10 minutes, i can only run around a 3rd of one without stopping right now
Is that at least decent?
Also lmao at all the anti fitnessfags on PrepHole, fats get a bullet
>I can only run around a 3rd of one without stopping right now
Terrible but I was in a similar boat three months ago. Literally just jog at a good pace (stopping allowed for the couple of weeks) for at least 30 mins every other day and you'll get better in no time. Provided you don't eat like shit.
How fast does my mile time need to be in order to outrun one of these?
Dumb weapon like just look up and move out the way or shoot it lol, why are slavs so dumb?
how fast can you run far enough that i can't hit you with a 762x39?
I don't know about running since I haven't truly ran in a while but I've definitely improved my general fitness in the last couple of months.
Scored a cheap treadmill and standing desk (probably covid wfh buys) and have been using it casually for a while while on the pc. I usually fast walk 10-ish km per day not including what I walk during work. Got winded from light exercise during the beginning but I got better quick. Eventually I filled an old backpack with some weights and started wearing it because I didn't want to go faster but I wanted to work a little harder.
Right now I can fast walk 10km with an 80lbs load on my back no problem. My biggest limiter right now is the time I have to walk and the max speed I trust this treadmill to safely handle. Maybe I'll get an actually decent treadmill next time around, I dunno. Backpack is starting to tear too but that's fifteen years old, no shit it's busted. A new backpack is definitely on the list plus some cheap plates and a carrier for extra weight.
It gets easier each time I do it but I would like to be able to push myself a little harder.
I don't usually run a lot but I can walk 10-20 miles a day easily whilst performing other tasks.
Minutes for a mile is for millennial and zoomer pussies. Real men do a Cooper's test
How does it not apply? Do you think nobody was snickering at the stupidity of Cato the Younger when he was wearing his black toga at every senate meeting in metaphorical mourning for the death of the republic? The Republic applies more than the empire does, although both will do.
No idea. I'm 36, history of familial knee replacement so I honestly avoid strenuous repetitive impact exercises like running.
I do, however, have a fucking awesome $3000 professional elliptical machine I got on craigslist from a gym that was going under.
So I use that 3x weekly for an hour. According to that, I do 2.8 miles in 25 minutes I think.
I'm not sure how that translates, probably not great.
Feels like the best option I've got though. I've seen what happens to people when they get their knees done.
I ain't about that if I can avoid it. I get cartilage cracking now and then when I squat as it is.
Running is gay. Bike gang checking in.
Detailed but you're doing it right.
>Running is gay. Bike gang checking in.
Get the fuck off the road gay
I'm too scared to bike on roads tbh.
Oh good. Carry on then.
I'd shoot at the truck in self defense
>you're doing it right.
Sure hope it works out in my favor.
I go extremely heavy on leg days, squats, leg curls, deadlifts, in addition to the cardio.
Basically my thought is ill make my leg muscles so impossibly bulletproof they'll carry me through and prevent me from needing surgery.
Uhhh I don't know about the weight training. Just be careful and deliberate I guess. Walking on uneven ground is generally good for building the support muscles that prevent injury.
Maybe I should consult a professional I guess, I have been operating under the impression it's the sudden, sharp impact that causes problems but maybe high load isn't going to do me any favors either.
Funny you mention that, the $3k elliptical I got for $500 has multiple exercise routines with different inclines and resistances, and one of them is a "gluteus" targeted exercise that has you pedal backwards at a high incline and resistance. First time I tried it after a few months of doing the other ones it really was noticeably tougher.
Consider yoga. My knees are alright but there are one or two things I won't do because I don't trust the move. But the rest of it is good for holding strength and keeping you limber. You can feel it if a position isn't right.
Walking and running doesn’t work all the muscles in your legs so it’s good to do that high incline stuff, I’ve had former students with a similar medical history and they’re still running in their 40s, treat your body well and not a done deal that you’ll need surgery
Biking and swimming are good, walk up hills backwards too
I'm at 15:25 for 2 miles. How's that?
Pretty good in my opinion
4:47
>6:20/mi
>22:40/5k
i still feel slow bros
6 mins.
But I absolutely die afterwards, and Im trying to keep that pace for 3. Trying to work up to 1.5 at that pace
like I give a shit anymore
5:40. My two mile is an atrocious 16:45 tho. But I deadlift 495, squat 405, and bench 315
>Mile
6 min
>5k
21 min
>10k
50 min
>5:40. My two mile is an atrocious 16:45 tho
What the fuck? Are you all out sprinting your first mile and walking the last one? Is this what the ACFT does to fat people?
9 min 1 mile
15 min 1.5 mile
I could run longer at a 10 minute pace but my knees and lower begin to hurt. Can't run 3 days in a row at any pace.
eight minutes
Fuck off moron I run three times a week.
I was a skinny nerd as a kid and then got chubby in the 20s and I had a shit fucking time and felt really inadequate.
Got tired of it and got in shape, I'm never going back.
Post mile time. If you're over feeling inadequate then you should post your time.
Unless... you're still fat and ashamed about it
which you probably are otherwise you wouldn't be bitching right now
I don't know my mile time because I don't use retard units but I do 3100m on a Cooper test if that's any help.
So like just above a 6 minute mile?
Don't think so, you can afford a harsher pace the shorter the distance, you can't just divide by two.
Cooper is at the spot where you need to have both speed and endurance and neither alone will give you good results, it's why they use it as reference after all.
4:12/mile, but that's for a 3.2 mile run. I could do sub-4 minutes easily if it's just one mile. I know a few monsters who could run the 3.2 in less than 10 minutes.
I guess it pays to live in a shithole sometimes.
How important is short vs long distance running ability for combat? Would something like a 400m be the better gauge? I'm guessing it's mostly a combination of walking long distances and sprinting short ones so maybe being a slightly faster sprinter doesn't matter compared to not getting winded on long distances
also now I'm probably up to a 6 or 6:30 mile but when I'm in top shape it's probably close to 5:00
