Hoppe's.
I use Hoppe's to clean the internals and barrel. Then I use lubricants for the internals. Do It All solutions suck on many levels. You want your cleaner to clean and your lube to lube.
>LGS cleans all trades with it as well and says it's the best they've tried.
where do you live where gun store employees aren't the second most moronic people you might interact with in this hobby?
I have been to gun stores in 6 states and every one of them was moronic.
>Are you going to Bass Pro
did you just call me a homosexual?
nah man, I only go to local "mom & pop" stores. frick big boxes.
I think I just might be unlucky.
That looks like brake cleaner which it probably is. Brake cleaner strips all oil, carbon, etc, gun down to the metal at which point you can start to see wear that you couldn't before. Work CLP onto all the parts you sprayed down, and don't hold back. Let it sit for a bit then wipe down, you'll find the gun looks the same as it was before.
In the future, buy brake cleaner because it's cheaper and only use it on guns you don't care about keeping pretty. Also make sure to use some kind of oil afterwards or your shit will rust like a factory fresh Ruger.
That prety much break cleaner like you said, but guns donot need a degreaser tbh because its creating risks without need. Those products should conatin tiny amounts of rust inhibitor just to fill cracks and surfaces and protect them, its also invisible btw. I dont get it why anybody runs fricking degreaser instead of Breakfree CLP Kaiserol. Its only usage should be flushing heavy build up out of actions
all you need for gun lube/oil is cheap synthetic motor oil and cheap synthetic automotive lube. Anything else is a waste of money
moron.
This is ok for stuff that's used reasonably regularly, and that it's a lot safer is a genuine bonus as well.
stupid OP
t. german Herrenrasse
this is also acceptable if you want to avoid carcinogens. I use it on everything
It has a really nice scent to it
I tried some with a few jaeger mixed drinks and it was actually kinda good ngl
You just need to season it again like a cast iron skillet
does a non-lubricant based gun cleaning solution exists or should I continue using electrical cleaner

This works really well in my experience, LGS cleans all trades with it as well and says it's the best they've tried.
