Nobody mentioned Ukraine, trannies, or morons before you showed up. You literally saw the word "America" and your brain filled with gay moron sex and girlcock. Have you considered you're the problem?

Wouldn't buy one yet, it's apparently got some feeding issues related to the mags. Word is, it likes to try feeding rounds base-first. Shameful, considering how reliable the C9 used to be.

Was thinkin of waiting for a few months. Hear the warra8is good thpigh so if it had issues could you just send it to hi point for repair/replacement?

The problem lies squarely in the mags. Some design flaw or another that makes them feed wrong. Wait until you hear something about new mags, then buy one.

I was looking forward to the release of it like 4 years ago, now that it's out I could care less even with it being cheap. They really missed the mark by delaying it for years.
Plus there are significantly better options for cheap pistols today than there was even a few years ago. We're in the golden age of dirt cheap gen 3 Glock clones, Taurus surprisingly has some reasonably good plasticshit pistols (so I've heard), still got options like the Security 9, the S&W shield, and the SA XD, or you can just buy a PD trade in Glock for $300.
If you truly can only afford a YC9, then sure I guess it's better than nothing.

Pretty hard to justify this for $200 when $250 buys you a PSA Dagger threaded and optics ready, buys you a used S&W Sheild, or $300 buys any number of Beretta or CZ polystriker shit options. Poorfags won't buy these, it's just fodder for r*ddit middle class gun consoooomers. Poorfags don't buy guns online, usually they just buy whatever is available with layaway locally. Poorfags who do buy online will spend an extra $50 -100 for a way better pistol. There's also not really a point to a threaded barrel for poorfags with no cans, which is even more evidence this is just r*ddit consoomer bait.

Hi-points now sell for their meme value instead of being a cheap handgun. The only one that is still a good deal is the 10mm seeing as any other 10mm handgun is going to run $500 or more.

        Anonymous

Even that just sells for its meme value, nobody shooting a substantial amount of 10 mm or using a 10 mm for anything that requires 10 mm needs a $200 pistol instead of a $500 pistol

I'd consider carrying it as a bear gun if were hiking somewhere where they're an actual problem

PSA Dagger costs the same as that abomination and the Beretta APX is frequently a mere $20 more. Hi-Point is dead, they were 3 years too late with this dumb meme.

I have one. It's been mostly reliable, however it only includes one magazine, more have not been available, the optic plates are not available. Even as a meme buy it's hardly worthwhile due to that, as a serious budget option it's a stupid choice. The Taurus G2C or G3, or the Ruger security 9 or 380 are far better guns for nearly the same prices. A little bit more and you're into Beretta APX and CZ P10C territory. Better still the PSA Dagger can be had for $299 on sale and it's genuinely decent too. The YC9 would only have appeal at the $150 or under price point, and that isn't happening.

this was never meant to be a serious gun. this was, always has been, and always will be a meme gun. there were better options back then, there are a fucking STUPID number of better options now including PSA's new pistols. the original C9 is here to stay, this will probably cease production in a couple years and reappear as a gen 2.

No. The pistol of choice is either the old C9 or the JHP45, which even hipoint admits is probably the most reliable version of their gun.

I use one to shoot heavy metal in 3-gun, makes 1911fags seethe.

I'm excited, but early adopters always get fucked. I may still buy though, Hi point has some of the best customer service in the business right now, so even with growing pains there's not much risk.

You're going to spend $200 on a simple blowback gun made from hotwheels even though you can get a g19 clone for $250? $300 will get you a Beretta apx with a Burris fastfire; considering the optic alone is about $150, you're basically getting a Beretta for $150. Hi-point should just make the dollar bill print the default color for their handguns because their only value at this point is being a meme.

can you really get an apx with fast fire for that amount? I need one. like you said, it's worth it just for the optic. that's a fucking screaming deal. truthfully, hi points are sorta special for me. first gun I ever bought was a c9 I saved up for through the summer as a kid. being a teenager, I fucked it up first disassembly and lost a spring. their customer support just sent me a pack of them for free.

it looks like it's just cut, no optic. it's still a good deal, but I was looking for a cheap way to snag a fast fire and the gun. I was seeing some deals for around 400 from like March, but fuck me everything is is off the rails on price increases.
