It's really fun. Weighs like 2.5lbs, has absolute authority in the hand, AESTHETIC shells dropping on open, and actually a really nice trigger. I just wish some Chinese or Indian company made replica speed loaders for it. I also want to find the bayonet and stock that fits on these. Maybe one day

One day 3D printers will become advanced enough to recreate obscure fire arms and be sold cheap. One day…

Not really interested in shooting profile (I use 'real' funs for that), but does anybody have a recommendation for one that's good for trick spinning? Kind of weird to ask, but this is pretty much the only thread where I could.

My Heritage Rough Rider is pretty easy to spin, perhaps that or the Ruger Wrangler would do you good for your spinning needs.

Rough riders have a pretty small trigger guard though. Not much wiggle room.

Shit I mean Wranglers. I have one and it’s a pretty small hole.

Top if you go hunting or larping innawoods, bottom if you just want cowboy larping on the range

I figured the same but Buffalo Bore makes .44 Special ammo they claim is good enough for game <500 pounds. Considering I rarely hunt deer at any more than like 50 yards I feel like it’d be fine.

Im sure it's ok for hunting, I'd still be a bit apprehensive of shooting something like a deer with it. I think you'd have a lot more consistent results with a 30-30.

It's more than fine. I regularly take deer with 357 PMC Bronze 158 grn jsp.

I told him I'd take a buck for him as soon as next season comes around.
It was his father's deer rifle when they came from Ireland and then his when he passed away. It took dozens of deer and filled the freezer every year.

Very neat. My grandpa left me his GP100. I like it and intent to keep it a long long time. I am salty they my uncle took the other guns of his. One was an old take down .22 lever action and the other was a break action revolver. Don’t know the model but was old. If I was 21 when he passes I might have said somethin.

New cimarron frontier 357. Just picked it up. I put a nice tapered mainspring in it but the trigger pull is a little sticky. Hoping it breaks in eventually.
The other guns pictured are my taylors richard mason conversion and my rossi 92 with octagonal barrel.

Excuse my ignorance but what exactly does a tapered mainspring do for it? Lighter trigger pull?

The hammer is much easier to pull back and it has a much smoother feeling

The looks draw you in, the taste keeps you coming back, and the chronic exposure lets you forget why it mattered anyways
