There will be a Neo-Byzantine Empire led by a resurrected saint.

The Holyman speaking here is actually Holy of God, with defiant miracles in the face of natural order. That why it IS a problem he actually said there is a King of Christ waiting to bring justice.

It is going to happen, and he will be a destroyer like Basil II, not a builder like Justinian.

Because it is impossible to believe in the exclusivity and truth of the Orthodox Church. This is very apparent when you look at its corruption and history, look at how the church is often a puppet for whichever secular power rules over it. Also, it seems laughable that God would allow the majority of Christians to apostatize from the true church, while some of the most lax and degenerate Christians are the only ones keeping it. That and toll houses seem stupid. It is also funny how many Orthodox people online become outright Pelagians (and other forms of heresies) because they want to distance themselves from "evil western Christianity" as much as possible.

              Anonymous

This becomes apparent when you look at such "prophecies," especially from the Greeks and Russians. It is simply nationalist cope. And because they mix their religion in with their shitty nation so much, it becomes difficult to believe in the sincerity of their faith. Their faith and their nation are completely intertwined. It seems remarkably shallow, despite le based aesthetics.

              Anonymous

You could say such things about any ecclesiastical manifestation of Christianity. What stops you from accusing Christ Himself of the very same things, in likewise manner to Judas criticizing Jesus for "wasting" very valuable oil?

                Anonymous

Because Jesus isn't somehow intrinsically bound to Greek or Russian nationalism. He is not at fault for any corruption. At least with the Catholic Church (which I am not part of), they attempted to make themselves separate from secular powers and so had influence of their own.

                Anonymous

I do not fault Jesus for churches being puppets of Turks or Bolsheviks, I do not fault him for explicitly unchristian usurpers ruling over churches, I do not fault him for the sanctified culture of Greek castrated men. It is possible to separate him from such things, rather than reducing an omnipotent god to being a lame national banner.

All these predictions are from when Russia had terrible relations with Turkey. Today it is much different as clearly seen in recent events, even though they are a NATO member they have been neutral in the Ukraine conflict, even going as far as to favor Russia on some issues.

That's an interesting observation; what is the likelihood that Turkey will eventually be pressured into taking sides? Maybe become the recipient of false flag attacks even?

come in and btfo the Turks
will push to Constantinople and retake it and wipe Turkey off the map
Europeans will compete for slices of Turkey's remains
This likely won't happen and you being burgermutt clearly shows.
What is at risk of happening is that Erdogan might be sharing the same west hatred that Putin and Xiaomi xin pong have (weird, since Turkey always wanted into EU) and they might have had an alliance from before the war started, this would explain Turkey's position regarding Swedes and Finns entering NATO.
Now this is tricky because if the hypotetical Russian alliance starts targeting nato countries (greece) it would be real WWIII with possible nuclear escalation. What also might happen is that the west could avoid a direct confrontation with russian by not triggering NATO (since Turkey v Greece is a fight netween Natos) and basically surrendering NATO in exchange for not WWIII. Don't forget that Turkey is the only possible intermediate between the west and Russia atm

This is very unlikely to happen, given that Erdogan is all talk and no action. Nevertheless, if he does do it, he would attack exclusively the Aegean islands (assuming they don't have military bases). Greece would lose a bit of land, it'd be a huge scandal, and it would gradually fizzle out. NATO wouldn't attack Turkey and it'd make NATO look weaker. Turkey would settle the islands with Turks.
