First, their threat to NATO is a nuclear threat not a conventional threat.

Second, their threat to unaligned nations is a conventional threat which is not going to be mitigated unless Russia has less than a couple hundred thousand people in uniform.

That nuclear threat requires constant upkeep or it decays. Destruction of the nation's armed forces along with extensive sanctions weakens their economy as they must then divert funds to strengthen a necessary army. Nuclear weapons are also not something they can endlessly rely on for power projection, they require an army of competent personnel and modern equipment to actually manifest their desires. Nuclear missiles cannot hold and pacify a land, it can only destroy it. Nuclear weapons are a deterrent of invasion.

No one who isn't doing the absolute minimum to get through the conscription requirement is ever gonna want to join the military as a choice of profession, meaning the manpower pool will be the the most unmotivated and poorest morale forces possible, with no harden and veteran core to try to shape them up considering said veteran core is has been grounded up in this meat grinder of a war.
And second it will take a fucking decade minimum to replace even a fraction of the material losses, some of which include incredibly rare and valuable units and vehicles or technologies, and some that just cannot be replaced period (See the Moscow) , and this is on top of a busted economy, brain drained populace, and sanctions of key components for modern military systems in place.

The russia we face in 30 years won't be a nation with a missing generation from the 90ies but with old soviet hands there to keep things going.
It will be a country more diverse(tm) than Zestern Europe being dominated by various central asian and cacasus muslim groups. With a lot of the competent and educated having left ( often to western europe),
The russian states ability to wage a war on it's only land will have been gimped nevermind crossing the border ever again.

One insult to injury is that with the brain drain, their doctrine and the way their legacy soviet infrastructure works. Is that they will have a very, very hard time figuring out and implementing ways to conserve and optimise their man power.
The west will grow old. But our armies will be able to still do a lot of things with less and less young men to do them.

This. Russia's pre-war economy was about the size of Italy or something. It's probably much worse now.
And like half the budget disappears into a mire of corruption, inefficiency and incompetence. Nobody can tell what exactly is done with the money because every layer of government cooks the books and steals their share. It's how the system works.

the german army wasn't even destroyed and could have kept going on the offensive for a good year and on the defensive for even longer
What killed the german was economic warfare, blockading them and their allies. Stopping them from getting foreign goods, services and above all food.
Some 3 quarter million germans would die from starvation and disease due to starvation. And while noting compared to the military deaths, that would have been the end of german logistics.

Theoretically, Ukrainian aid would pay for itself and then some if the U.S. took the opportunity to significantly downsize it's Euro footprint and let the old world defend itself. Face it, Russia is pathetic and the EU does not need American help to defend their borders. Fucking gut EUCOM budget, close a bunch of bases, and spend that money on something better... or just reduce taxes. However, none of the above will ever happen because of muh corrupt industrial complex and the fact that the U.S. government would seppuku itself before returning money to taxpayers.

it would be different. Taiwan basically has to survive the initial blow and then the US navy comes in and cuts off any remaining PLA forces on the island so they have no real choice but surrender, at which point the war is functionally over.
All in all it's hard to imagine a Taiwan war lasting more than a month assuming the US does indeed step up to the plate (which Biden is certainly in favour of) no matter who wins

      >muh Evergrande
You know why China's economy is slowing down to "just" about 5% annual growth? Because the CCP has taken Evergrande as the canary in the coal mine and dropped a wrecking ball on the property development sector, popping the forming bubble pre-emptively. Evergrande going down entirely now isn't going to be that big a problem anymore because of that. People who dream of China getting an late 80's Japan-style crash aren't looking at the actual numbers, while I suspect some people in the CCP absolutely did look at that piece of history and moved to forestall a repeat.

And suddenly you care so much about the lives of ukrainians, funny how that works
    >to expand the export markets of US economic elites, and subsidize their aristocracy, is a shit fucking trade
It's a good trade, actually, because it makes us stronger. And you can't suddenly apply morals here when you aren't willing to apply it to what russia is doing you absolutely worthless braindead hypocrite.
    >Fourth, the US foreign policy establishment must be dealt another crushing defeat.
The dismantling of the US led world security architecture will do devastating damage to the US economy and necessarily lend itself to China stepping in to our place as the world's strongest superpower. This is like trying to remove your brain cancer by blowing your fucking brains out.

Latinos like you are fucking retarded. You imbeciles should be not allowed to talk about about politics or religion for a generation until you get your shit together. You've had 200 years of self-rule and you still do nothing but blame everyone else for your problems. Both your left and right wing politics are pathetic over emotional chimp outs that only end up poisoning discussion of serious matters in serious countries.
