Wizarding Combat: Voldemort invades USA

Figured it would make more sense to discuss this here instead of PrepHole. Assuming Britain fell to Voldemort and he tried to invade the USA, what would he likely face?
>Americans with muffle AR+wand combinations that can shoot 500 spells a minute along with bullets
>body armor rated against 7.62 and X number of spells, with certain plates able to resists one or two Unforgivable Curses
>wizardchan /gif/ showing gore, wizarding executions, witches getting MUGGLED
What would it be like?

frick lmao. Makes sense though. I imagine there's some wizarding spell that could probably repel bullets, or the wizard could Apparate but yeah.

I wonder if hogwarts castle walls could stand up to artillery fire, they're magic and shit, but they're still made of rocks.

I made an effortpost years back about muggle government radicalizing incel kids at hogwarts to counter the magical government and kill their elite progeny. Wizards don’t seem to be at replacement levels, so a single attack could wipe whole bloodlines.

The Wizards in Harry Potter have powerful Plot Armor when it comes to Muggles (non-wizards). We are always portrayed as a complete joke.
There would always be some contrivance to ruin the operation against them.
They would spam magic bird illusions to jam radar, they would have a 6th-sense of your ill will toward them, and know exactly where you are.
They can remotely cut elextricity or steal light/illumination. Your NVD would have dead batteries.
They use a teleportation ability a lot, in the last two books&movies.
So your headquarters and repeater stations would all get blink-raided. Like they would teleport behind you, unironically.

It's all very lame & gay, slop for theater kids. But them's the breaks.

                this makes sense.
If the wizards tried anything sexual with captured muggles, do you think it would involve magic? Like the imperius curse?

                >The Wizards in Harry Potter have powerful Plot Armor when it comes to Muggles
in this imaginary Voldemort invading America scenario I imagine he's conquered the British muggles too and enslaved them to fight for him, and he's coming for the American whizzards. So let's assume that American and British plot armor cancel each other out.
                >They can remotely cut elextricity
yeah, so can everyone else, just shoot transformers.
                >They use a teleportation ability a lot
I remember when I was a kid that the books mentioned that it makes a loud bang every time you use it. So it'd be good for moving, but it'd give away their position.

This. Also the teleportation doesn't really occur in combat/wizarding duels I don't think. You have to focus on where you want to go and having to focus that hard would probably mean you aren't paying attention to anything else.

It'd be useful for strategic/operational mobility, but probably not tactical maneuvering in firefights. I bet it wouldn't be long before people started setting up IED's that are rigged to go off when the bang happens near them. Also claymores on portkeys and shit.

Wizards don't know enough about muggle technology to be able to mess with them. Remidner that the professor of muggle studies just collects random junk and doesn't know how half of it works.

This is moronic, he wouldn't have to do anything overt. Wizards in harry potter are already like a hermit illuminati, they have sway over every prime minister in UK history, so if Voldemort took over the UK the only thing that would change for normal people is the painting in the downing street oval office would turn into a weird snake man. Its worth noting a lot of Voldemorts followers are internationals, so it can be assumed there are death eater movements in the US already. Plus harry potter happens in the early 90s, if were having race riots in the real world then American wizards are probably racist af magical elitists and would support him anyway. I have not seen the new movies and dont intend to.

All I can remember is some random fanfic I read when I was like 16-17 where it went from standard 'what happened after the battle at Hogwarts ended' affair to suddenly the humans going 'nah frick this shit we've had enough' and carpet bombing the shit out of the wizarding world based on suspiciously empty spaces on radar.
Anyway if Voldemort went loud and proud, he'd be fricked, even if he was immortal, I doubt his physical form could withstand SLAAP rounds, let alone runs from a GAU-8 or artillery, but all he needs to do is the shadow government shtick with mind control curses and he'd be just fine.

HP wizards have a toolkit that's absolutely busted for waging a shadow-war against anyone. There's really no real world defense possible against people who can turn invisible, teleport, and cause fires and explosions. They could effortlessly knock out power, collapse buildings, and with the Mind-Control curse they could turn anyone into a suicidal assassin.

Now, this is tempered by the fact that they (and perhaps everyone?) in JK Rowling's world appears to be monstrously moronic. So you get wizarding battles where people think having a hundred "dog sized spiders" is a serious advantage.

If trolls and spiders are useful in even the slightest degree, then logically modern soldiers would be 1000 times moreso. You get this kind of situation where Non magical forces cant do anything to smart wizards on their own, but the wizarding army that includes muggles with machine guns and artillery will always win, because they can force an engagement where the enemy cant just cancel out all the muggle weapons

In general though, the UK is like one fifth the population of the UK, and the Death Eaters only represent lets say a *half* of the wizards in the UK (which is what, a few thousand? maybe ten thousand at most? most of which are noncombatants?), and they're going to take tremendous losses in their own civil war.
Think about it. What would be left of Voldemort's army even if he'd won the battle of Hogwarts? He was hemorrhaging losses he couldn't replace that entire battle, and there were still plenty of defenders left at the end. Attacking America would be Voldemort and like fifty randoms against ten thousand American wizards and a functionally bottomless supply of human support far more effective than a troll or a spider or a fricking moving statue.

Voldemort, if he'd won, would have doomed wizard-Britain to a level of inbreeding and decay that they would not recover from in five hundred years.
