Interestingly South Korean winters are colder than Norwegian winters, -2 degrees C vs +2 degrees C on average temperature

Yes because japs are fricking irrelevant when it comes to weapons. Just a US vassal state buying their weapons like a good dog.
You think Koreans are the ones who always bring up the f3 every chance they get? Fricking delusional.

You use this single picture every single time as proof of Jap spammers. Japs have one of, if not the lowest rate of english proficiency out of the western nations, and almost entirely keep to their own internet sites. When they do communicate through google translate or whatever, it's glaringly obvious through sentence structure and phrasing, rather than missing punctuation or poor spelling. I would bet very heavily that the amount of actual jap posting on /k/ can be counted on one hand.

Something like 30% of Japanese women are engaged or have engaged in prostitution, prostitution is controlled by ethnic Korean gangsters many with ties to North Korea, all Japanese knows this

Seoul is colder than Oslo you dumb Black person.
The incessant sperging about Korea is tiresome. Its a bunch of weebs and japs sucking off chinks just to satiate their obsession.

Well that's not accurate at all. Besides, you think you'd be just in Oslo? Shit, it gets down to -30-40 at times up north. SK boys haven't cultivated enough mass to survive that. Also too short. Your kung-fu shit doesn't fly when you are neck deep in snow.

Under 40 SK men are about the same height as Norwegian males but the important distinction is that every SK male is combat trained for 2 to 3 years with military grade weapons and tactics compared to Norwegians where there is no modern combat heritage or culture

There are large parts of Korea that get to -40 to -50 C

      average temperatur means jack shit.
we know who the only real enemy is and he will come from north so thats where our defence is focused. thats regions thats seen -50 and -30 is common.
coldest i trained in was -35 closing in to -40 and absolutely nothing failed at that temperature, kit, gear, vehicles (hagglunds) weapons (g3, mp5, mg42, 81mm mortar) all worked fine and clothing cept us warm, tent with stove was sauna warm but completely fine to sleep a night without any heating just you and your sleeping bag. no fricks, warnings or precautions was taken before these temperatures it was business as usual.
im confident our equipment are tested to these extremes and can handle it.
does south korea do this? honestly just asking.

Depends on where you are. In the west, it's rainy and humid, and there are often winters with little snow. In the south, around Kristiansand, the average winter temperature is -3 or so. Up north, in Karasjok near the Russian border, the average is -19.
Oslo I think is around -4 on average.
      Winter time, obviously.

yeah but i guess at some point we ditch leos for mix of m1 and k2. Before war we got pt91, t72 and leos.

        Anonymous

I would assume the leos will get sold/mothballed at some point.
The Abrams is for American gibs and co-operability while the K2 is for developing domestic industry thanks to tech sharing.

You want 3 layers, the base layer which is there to wick moisture off your skin and normally we'd issue a polyester shirt, socks and leggings for that.
Over the top you want a fairly good wool, socks, coverall or individual pants and shirt- thick cotton with a fleece liner will also work as well, but wool is probably the better of all the insulating fabrics as it will retain a lot of heat when damp or even wet.
Last is the protection layer which keeps out the elements- wind and rain, gortex is good but anything that mean you're not puffed up like the michelan man will do. Sometimes you can get too hot and end up heat-casing which is still a problem when very active, so something that can open up will help as well

For your hands and face its much the same, thin gloves so you can still work and a thicker set of mittens for the serious shit, balaclava made out of wool and your helmet and your done. If you're not wearing a helmet because head injuries are cool n shit, then some kind of hat will help keep the wind off your skull and turning your brain into an icecube.

Amazingly, equipment that was constructed and designed for serious cold temperatures works best under such conditions.
