WIND PANTS!!!

Why the frick are these so hard to find from a reputable brand. Patagonia houdini pants are discontinued. I'm not going to pay $100+ for a enlightened equipment trash bag. I just want wind breaker pants without bullshit mesh liners or open pockets. Any suggestions that aren't Amazon fashion garbage?

the problem most windbreaker pants have is they're way too thick. houdinis are paper thin.

same conundrum since they discontinued houdini pants bro. probably just gonna diy some shit.
the amazon special ripstop ballet pants and a fanny pack's how i'm coping. they effectively do the same thing they just don't have any pockets. i see a lot of other people with the amazon ballet pants around here lmbo. they're 5 bucks if you buy them on ali.

Interesting. I was under the impression they were UK-made. I have a pair of chink-made navy trousers with a "Made in China" label and those are indeed shit.
        >Now the MoD is investigating claims by Labour MP Gordon Prentice that the fabric rips easily, shrinks when wet and is too thin to prevent a soldier's body heat being picked up by enemy night-vision equipment.
        Lol, nice.
        >He complained about British and European contractors, saying they were too particular about quality. "They are too strict, too demanding," said Jiang. "We don't understand why they are like this."
        It's all so tiresome. 😀
To be fair, I do believe all of Patagonia is made in China too.

just get fine weave canvas pants. they are just as windproof as "wind pants" or any DWR nylon fabric.

nice how small do they pack?
wind pants are just nylon pants without dwr or sealed up seams. never heard of a windbreaker before?

Montane featherlite also discontinued. Frick this. I went for some Columbia Santa ana wind pants I found on sale for $20. They are fashion pants and have some dumb things like pockets, but atleast they are zip pockets. I'll see how small they pack and how much they weight when they get here. The amazon ballet pants are looking tempting if I can find one without moronic sizing

          lazy phone post
use euro sizing with chinks to avoid sizing errors. its almost always accurate. ignore us sizing and letter size.
aliexpress had more sizes and a way lower price than amazon when i got mine. under 5bux if you use a discount code and aliexpress affiliate cashback.

Finally found some. Montbell Tachyon and Dynamo. Although they are $100USD before shipping to Canada. Going with the body wraps from Amazon since I don't know or trust aliexpress.

I have northface that are also rainproof, in fact I only use them when it rains, why the hell would you want windproof pants if you have decent pants?

wind pants are decent pants. some of the best pants you can choose to wear outdoors. never climb a mountain?
      >in fact I only use them when it rains
ya its cause they're clammy as frick from the waterproofing which is why you never wear them lol.
