Will Russia emerge as the most experienced army in the world after this?

The US or any of its allies, nor China, nor any country in the last few decades hasn't fought a war of this size in a long time. After the war is done Russia will have possibly the most experienced army in the world. How will NATO counter it? Are NATO commanders afraid of the experience they will gain from this?

You only gain experience if you survive, anon.

Their experienced army has already been destroyed if you've been paying attention. Now they're being replaced with thousands of conscripts that have little to no training.

How can they gain experience if they're fricking dying with nades in the ass?

      all excellent points, however
      >russia
      >learning anything
how many times have they reformed their military now? how many wars have they fought that they seemingly learned nothing from or forgot everything?

The problem is they killed all the officers that learned anything because putin was afraid they might throw a coup.

Both Ukraine and Russia will be dismantled and folded into the Belorussian Protectorate, a mighty empire that will dominate the world in potato and carrot production under wizened sorcerer king Luka and undefeated eternal warrior Steven Seagal. It is said a steady diet of Belorussian carrots has given vision clear enough to see into the future to assess any threat to the Directorate.

Ukraine will get a Marshall Plan and Russia will be relegated to North Korea status (China's b***h begging for scraps).
Even with the destruction, Ukraine will be rebuilt and many will want to be involved in some way.

Russia can't even produce things that don't work in this war.

Also, there is fundamentally ZERO FRICKING CHANGE 'western' "netflix-n-chill" tik-tok bro' men will EVER be compelled to be killed by a toy helicopter dropping grenades in a cold wet trench in ukraine. ZERO

I dont think that this will happen. They are untrained and only experience on how it is to fight without equipment and stuff. And to learn something you need good leadership and enough time to practice warfare. Because some soldier sat in a trench and avoided getting drone killed doesnt give him general experience in warfare.

  23. 1 year ago

No. For an army to make use of experience you have to have troops survive and pass the knowledge on. Russia is experiencing very high casualty rate and it isnt cycling it's survivors back to teach the new recruits what they learned. They just keep them in the field until a formation is destroyed and then replace with another green one, over and over.

No because they're setup all wrong. Constructive criticism is seen as unpatriotic. Literally trickle down reform.

You have to survive to learn anything from an experience.

  28. 1 year ago

No. Everyone observing in this war is gonna learn more from it than the Russians who are far busy losing it and dealing with the fallout. The US is probably studying how the weapons systems they sent work in the field, while China is probably having another Gulf War moment leading to another overhaul of tactical & strategic thinking like they did in the 90s/2000s.

      Anonymous

The US tends to know that it’s weapons work. What china learns from this will be the most interesting. Not just in terms of tech and tactics but on what it takes to build up to an invasion. Any sort of build up they attempt under the guise of “exercises” will immediately be recognized as an invasion force after the Russians tried that trick and it’s basically impossible to keep these kinds of things a secret in the age of satellites and social media.

They literally lost all their best units first
    >VDV getting sent without support, 100% casualties in many units, VDV ceases to function beyond a battalion-ish group of remnants
    >Spetsnaz getting sent on ridiculous missions in Kyiv and Mariupol that get them all captured or killed
    >Remaining isolated Spetsnaz get whacked in random places around Kharkiv and southern front with no discernable objectives beyond standard "attack here blyat"
    >1st guards tank army literally destroyed
    >4th guards tank army literally destroyed
    >Pilots take such horrific casualty rates that russians have effectively stopped all combat sorties and helicopter assaults
    >The one single naval vessel doing anything at all got fricking sunk along with most of its crew
Honestly it is absolutely mind-boggling how efficiently Russia has managed to wipe out all of its best-equipped units. Whatever shell-shocked conscripts survive this mess will have the same kind of "experience" that a west african child soldier gets

      Anonymous

That was sort of what got me, the Spets got sent into all these 'critical' places like locking down intersections in some town or city, told to hold them until the rest turn up
      >Rest didn't turn up
      >Get fricking murdered by the locals
Then just repeat that all over the whole northern front ranging from isolated VDV in airports and random riot-popo turning up on a highway getting massacred

I mean you sort of expect some parts of an invasion to go a bit sideways, maybe some little delays here and there because its a fricking hard thing to do and keep the pace up on everything. But they just fricked it all up, for like 2 weeks! Day or two maybe, but two weeks and there was no one left. When all this shitshow is over its going to have some remarkable fact finding were all the wheels fell off and where.

None of the problems Russia is having were unexpected or unknown before the war. In fact they were known since Russia's 08 war with Georgia. If they couldn't fix them before, what makes you think they can fix them with depleted inventories?

Yeah they’ll be experienced all right

    >experienced at losing all their good equipment and trained soldiers the first week of the war
    >experienced at running out armored vehicles, artillery shells, and small arms despite basing your nations reputation for 60 years on having limitless amounts of those
    >experienced at having all your SAM systems (again being overhyped to frick) fail and get destroyed repeatedly
    >experienced at losing naval vessels more than any modern nations
    >ascended masters beyond any on this plain of coping, seething, and dilating

History books will be filled for the next 100 years on what Russia’s done in this war and how not to be as stupid as them

They will indeed receive a lot of valuable experience from this conflict. Will they learn anything from it? Not so sure.

  36. 1 year ago

Ukraine will emerge from this conflict as the most experienced army in the world because unlike the russians most of their combat vets will actually live through their deployments
This is especially relevant for vehicle crews in particular

If the general russian attitude alone is to go by, chances are they'll degrade, not improve after this war. And this isn't taking into account all the material losses or losses in actual experienced soldiers,.

Ukraine will be the most experienced in real warfare.
