he wrote a book pretty much detailing how the entire global order can collapse and how china will literally go from pseudo-1st world into sub-saharan tier in like 2 decades in such a scenario
he's also said that in the case of war, blockading the strait of malacca can cripple china to such a degree that its major coastal cities will defect just to get enough food to feed themselves

China is collapsing but its collapsing like Japan and South Korea which is a fricking snails pace and automation will soften the blow, the real issue will be China losing its military capabilities as its population ages.

according to Peter Zeihan, the Royal Navy has a less capable carrier force and less projection ability than the JMSDF

    Zeihan on the JMSDF:
    >Japan doesn’t only build but also designs its own naval vessels and has since the 1880s. Japan’s navy is easily the second-most powerful expeditionary force in the world…the entire Japanese fleet is blue-water capable.

    >It is Japan, not China, that boasts the world’s second most capable navy. It is that navy that is second only to the United States in the number of aircraft carriers floated (Japan claims those carriers are only for helicopters but that is, if you’ll forgive the repeat, just some more PR bullshit).

    >Japan…has four aircraft carrier battle groups that can make it that far. The point is less that the Japanese would use carriers for convoy duty, and more that the Japanese could scrub Chinese naval power out of existence from Hormuz to Malacca with a minimum of fuss.

    Zeihan on the RN:
    >At each step the Queen Elizabeth carrier program had to re-justify itself and fight for funding anew. And now, with Brexit looming, they’re having to slim the rest of the naval force to keep their supercarrier program on track.

    >Which means the Brits no longer have sufficient ships to protect their new supers once they are fully operational.

    >The British Navy has atrophied so much for so long that it can no longer assemble two credible battlegroups and still defend Great Britain itself.

    >For the Queen Elizabeths’ deployments, this is nothing short of a Charlie Foxtrot. The new British supercarriers dare not venture further away from shore than the reach of British air power, whether that air power be launched from the United Kingdom itself or from the territory of a trusted ally. Support ships can certainly be built up more quickly (and cheaply) than the supercarriers themselves, but ships don’t grow on trees. This will be the state of the British Navy for at least a decade. Probably two.

Peter is not a serious analyst. Shilling him on reddit might get you points, but please don't do it here.

His gimmick is taking generalized information and projecting generalized takes tailored to what his audience wants to hear (for Zeihan that's mostly Gen X types running medium-size middle-American businesses).
IOW, you can get the same stuff without the bias by doing 10 minutes of basic research yourself. He's ASMR. In fact, I'd put it this way: Zeihan is to Iowan small farmers and mediocre military officers what Paul Harrel is to fatherless zoomers. If you're not a midwit there's no value-added.

They could be literal shill posts from St. Petersburg and it'd still be somewhat true. West really hasn't ramped up military aid to match what russia is outputting especially w.r.t. AA systems, hence the wunderwaffen accusations.
It wouldn't be so bad if US was still providing substantial aid but now politics is getting in the way and probably won't resume in full swing until next January at best.

No. I was here the whole time and don't remember that at all.

HIMARS was gimped from the start because the US banned Ukraine from hitting targets inside Russia, limiting the areas Russia needs to search for them, limiting their effect on Russian logistics, and severely reducing the workload of Russia's air defences.

The US should just free Ukraine from this idiotic restriction. It's all based on threats Russia made at retaliation, which have been empty every single time and still are.

    weapon complexity != weapon effectiveness
FPV drones and glide bombs are effective and simple to make, meanwhile there's stuff like the Tu-160 with its giant titanium superstructure that requires a hangar sized anoxygenic chamber to make yet can't go within 300km of air defenses made in the 70s
