Morale is paramount. If you can sneak in a deep fryer, do it.

Sad! Honestly with a bit of creativity, the amount of things you could make on this is insane, especially if you knew how to crank it up and get it glowing red. We would fry meats, hot dogs, burgers etc and heard someone managed to do a pizza.

Might be an ultrasonic cleaner. Still very odd to take into the field.

      It's a boiling vessel (BV)
You obviously can use it for making tea/coffee but UK rations at least are boil in the bag, so if you're a vehicle crew the internal BV can sort your food out as well.

This, its a BV. Used to have these in LAV's, great for making brews, hotdogs and heating up sealed satchel rations.

Do burgers not have a kettle in their armoured vehicles? They take up frick all space and are an easy way for your crew to have a hot meal without having to leave the vehicle.

Sterilization post filtration - that's a pretty good use for a water boiler.

why not just have a microwave?

I'd take the hot water thing, good Brit advertisement. If there's a national quirk, the brits have hot water over there, you can get a hot water towel in a teacup then dip your sock in it and wash your ass while they drink tea. All kinds of uses for hot water Brits use them all.

They did it to take up the extra Americanization of the Jerry can, the US version is actually better but the OG brit version is just as good, just takes more manufacturing and is cooler looking.
