>.30 is positively anemic compared to 8mm Kurz
This, while the StG-44 if far from perfect, .30 carbine is just not fit to be the main rifle cartridge of an army, an M2 Carbine chambered in a caliber like 5.56 would be a different story.
If I was to give the M2 points for anything it is it's the light weight of both the gun and ammo. It is the better weapon to issue to people who aren't riflemen but whose job requires a weapon, probably should have had a folding stock w/ pistol grip like the paratrooper model though.
StG-44 loaded = 11lb / 6 extra 30rd magazines = 12lbs, total of 23lb.
M2 Carbine loaded = 6.5lb / 6 extra magazines = 6lb, total of 12.5lb
I will never understand people who opt for inferior handling over slightly better balistics.
What is essentially a magnum pistol cartridge vs a relatively anemic intermediate round in a much heavier gun with all of the issues associated with being the first of it's generation isn't that big of a difference when your talking the kinds of engagements that occured in WW2. Korea maybe you'd have a case but even 5.56 would have had issues there
There's a reason why you still see the M1 used by SEA/Israeli police and american civilians but the only people with STG44's are people who couldn't get an AK and don't even know what they have.
Not even close. >There's a reason why you still see the M1 used by SEA/Israeli police and american civilians but the only people with STG44's are people who couldn't get an AK and don't even know what they have.
The Stg44 turned into the G3 once peace fave it time to be properly developed, anon.
The G3 is quite a lot more successful than the M2.
So is the entire assault rifle concept if you prefer that comparison.
that's cheating and you know it. Might as well include the Mini 14 or the 5.7 Johnson Spitfire retroactively in that arguement if your gonna pull that kind of shit.
It was a clunkier heavier gun with the same realiability/magazine issues as the M1. Kurz sucks ass compared to proper intermediate cartridges if you wanna make ammo an issue
Remember those roller delayed guns were also chambered in .30 Carbine initially as well
M1 is a better handling gun. STG44 has slightly better range and ballistics and equal or worse everything else.
It's like saying you'd rather have a Hakim than a 5.56 Steyr Scout because muh full power cartridge. On paper the STG44 is better, in practical application ironically it's the STG44 that is a novelty and the M1 more practical. M1 aged better than the STG44 period

Wrong about what? Quote me being "factually, provably" wrong.
In terms of practicality? It wasn't except with how lightweight it was.
In terms of aesthetic? It was for sure.
In terms of availability? Absolutely, not only was the M1/M2 Carbine allowed to be produced after the war, but it was manufactured by a country where civilians could actually own them.
Just because being Wehraboos went out of style and being a Sovietboo is now rightfully recognized as a mental illness, doesn't mean Ameriboos and Teaboos get to shit up the board with their nonsence
Lol wtf? I've never seen a single Teaboo on the internet ever. The Brits didn't even had a fucking SMG until 1944, and it was a POS. They also had a fucking revolver for a standard sidearm until 60's.

>poser
Lmao, you're the only one eh keeps on bringing up fake street cred.
Funnily enough I'm willing to bet I've been here longer than you. I was a general in the FWG war that crippled the site before you figured out how to masturbate, moron.
reddit spacing is not a thing, deliberately pretending it's a thing for some meta purpose beyond shitposting is not a thing
You are a fucking idiot. Be honest. ARE you a zoomer? Something about your posts is off
Reddit spacing
are you a zoomer. It's a simple question
Stop seething of a make believed boogieman, anon. I'm not even the anon you were sperging on
>reddit spacing is not a thing, deliberately pretending it's a thing for some meta purpose beyond shitposting is not a thing
Gatekeeping in all ways is good.
I don't care if you approve of the veracity of the arguments used by people, no matter if they're smart or retarded, at the very least they're still useful retards. Redditspacer.
And I'm obviously not a zoomer if I was here during the FWG war where the Australian stalker hacked the site you dumb cunt.
I'm not the guy you replied to above this either.
gatekeeping would be keeping lying poser gays like you the fuck off this website with your autistic ad hoc bullshit
Struck a nerve, didn't?
Old Otto's still got it.
No, gatekeeping is not good. Shut the fuck up. People accusing others of redditspacing, are dumb fucks.
>It's why the meta of this place is obnoxious cancer.
>the meta
This is the guy calling you a newfag on PrepHole.
why does it remind you of your bing bing wahoos newfag?
I explained to him why it doesn't matter and why it's not the point but he's such a one-dimensional peabrain he literally can't understand the effect of an action mattering more than the action itself.
I reckon he's swarthy.
t. Brainlet tourist
because it's literally not fucking true you fucking gay. No actual oldfag is gonna go along with that disingenious bullshit and you are literally making shit up to save face
The majority of people who accuse others of reddit spacing think it's a real thing and you know it. They aren't shit testing anyone, they aren't trying to maintain standards they're just fucking retards trying to gain clout or ad hom someone elses post
Just admit your wrong. This is fucking sad
>because it's literally not fucking true you fucking gay
>Literally doesn't matter
Are you honestly too dense to get the concept?
That doesn't matter, anon. It never did.
It serves an important social function. And I can't be wrong about something I never claimed you dumb fuck.
>The majority of people who accuse others of reddit spacing think it's a real thing and you know it.
Good. That means it's working.
>Just admit your wrong.
About what? Quote it.
>This is fucking sad
Your inability to read simple English really is.
You are literally making shit up because you can't admit your wrong.
Wrong about what? Quote me being "factually, provably" wrong.
the best part is whether they believe in it or not it outs the extremely mentally ill spergs and shits up their threads
The M2 isn’t even better than the MKb42(H)
i like how they put a vuvuzela on the front
>BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
because i like it better and the factories making the spare parts and magazines weren't actively being raped by other armies
>Teaboos
Lol wtf? I've never seen a single Teaboo on the internet ever. The Brits didn't even had a fucking SMG until 1944, and it was a POS. They also had a fucking revolver for a standard sidearm until 60's.
Ammo weighs less but less powerfru
Either is fine
