Why not give .44 magnum desert eagle to officers?

From this video, it seems 9mm is very weak.

What if she had an .44 magnum DE? Would the guy be stopped on the first shot?

    We'd all be dead, OP.
Besides, we're eco for third round.

Because most cops never get in shootouts and when they do they are more likely to be dumb and shoot blindly. Also it is heavier and has less bullets.

.44 mag DE are not a reliable service sidearm, they’re too maintenance intensive and have to be babied too much.

This. Wheel gun rounds in a semi-auto, equals problems. How about they all are issued 7 or 8 round .357s?

Spam click and it'll kill a soft target just fine.

Weight, spare ammo, higher amount of rounds on target when mag dumping, aside from aiming center mass and reloading quickly - range training goes out the window when SHTF, etc.

And homies complain about .45 (leading to the adoption of .40)

    OP,

Obviously most patrol divisions like to play a nice rotation instead of Dust II or Nuke. I personally agree they should have just double eco'd and full bought third round, but people never listen.

I'll let you in on a secret: you know that cool spin animation if you hit 'f'? It's a real bad idea in real life, like "people die with no respawns" bad idea.

Did she miss entire mag at point blank range? Isn't that like 18 bullets?

No that's just the news copy writer being moronic, you can clearly see what they're calling a reload is just her trying to clear a malfunction.

The cop reacted fast and well, and did a perfect tap rack.

Ya nah dawg, an actual good shooter with a 22lr would be able to reliably drop this person. Whereas the same shooter would have a 50/50 chance with a Deagle, they are tons of fun, but they were never designed for any kind of duty or even dangerous game hunting.

Every cop shooting video has their glocks malfunction. I just can't believe that people still buy these pieces of junks and defend them.

The cop reacted fast and well, and did a perfect tap rack.

The very fact that her piece of shit malfunctioned at all is fricking horrible and just goes to show how unreliable in tense situations Glocks are.
